- The Derby City Model Car Builders put on a GREAT show with over 250 models entered. This was a contest you did not want to miss! The 4th Annual Ohio Valley Regional Model Car Contest & Swap Meet held July 17, 2021 in Louisville, KY.
The show was SO BIG that I had to break it down into a 2 part series. This is part 1 with the model car contest. Part 2 will be the HUGE swap meet that filled an entire gymnasium! That video is linked at the end of this video.

I think it was perfect speed Tim but I had to pause the video several times to really look at something I wanted to see better. I loved that number 1 circle track car and the more I looked at it the more detail I saw. Thanks so much. Ron

Doing a great job, I like your videos. Quite a few of the models being entered today are works of art with a backstory. They are a study in cultural anthropology. You could spend 20 minutes studying each one as the modeler explains whatvhe or she did and it still wouldn't be enough. Keep up they great work. I will go back and revisit these videos from time to time.

Nice collection.... the early vids a bit on the fast side yes... i am not complaining though. This spot on... the Blue 71 Dodge Charger looks cool...just my taste.... all great work.

I enjoyed a lot the bit with the guy that makes those cool custom paint body's the Alien one stands out... cool marble type paint..i like how he jokes about the underside not judged.... and the show and tell video also very entertaining! is Tim that made the Tank walkers? cool whoever.... the Sci Fi guy with the cool lights! be here all day talking about the talented people...I am only scratching the surface.... thanks for the Videos ...nothing like this on the BBC I gave up watching.

As to the speed, you could slow down just a little. I liked how you talked to the builder about the build. I also liked the stills at the end, it helped show some of the detail.

Great video as usual. The hardest part of making a video in a public place is the public. I mean people always want to stop & talk. And it's hard not to film people who might not want to be recorded. And trying to make the rounds without being in people's space & keep a flow going from table to table. At least you can edit out things. Keep up the great work 🤜💥🤛🐭

@@THROTTLEPOWER as soon as I walked it some guy in a red shirt walked up to me and my 2 kids looked at our cars and continued to say Your not going to win we don't like lowriders here. I should have known right then just take my money and leave but I gave them the benefit of a doubt and entered anyway. He then walked over to the table while I was setting up and continued with the dislike of my cars. Just over all disrespectful.

good speed and camera focus. i pause to look at detail and often times other peoples vids is too fast to even focus correctly (maybe it's the camera?) anyway, thanks for the vid, i got a lot of ideas from it 👍

I enjoyed this video. The length of this video is well worth it being 34 minutes long. I dont mind the quickness when transitioning from one model to the next. However, you do move too quickly around the model. I enjoy looking at the engine and the model but with how quickly you move, its a little to fast. There were a few models you did move at a nice speed when looking at the model at the 12:15 mark. That was a nice speed and you went slow showing the interior.

When SAE made the unwanted announcment about shutting down, that is when I started thinking... What if?. I'm still debating myself on it.
