@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe couldn't agree more. and I truly am inspired by your story. what you mentioned about joining a bakery to learn was something I was skeptical about. but hearing this from you and having seen your creations, I am now sure of what I should do. Thanks for that.
I have been doing this for about 10 years and have only had 2 complaints in the very beginning. Structure issue. But the fear is so REAL! I actually no longer go on deliveries bc I am paralyzed in traffic. Thankfully my husband does it. I love what I do but this part makes me want to quit often 🤦♀️
That is so frustrating to put so much work in and feel like you are not profiting and covering costs. Decorating is something that takes a lot of time and talent!! I give you credit for doing that while you were a full-time student, but was great that you realized your worth very soon on 😃
Hi, Ash! I was actually considering opening a booth at a farmers market to gain exposure for my cookie business. Not really for profit but just to get my name out there in my local community. I planned on offering samples, i even had a custom stamp made for cookies with my info on it. :) Would you not suggest a farmers market at all?
Personally, farmers markets never really worked for me. When I saw other bakers do it at the same markets, I never saw customers have armloads of baked goods (the way they would have armloads of fruit for example!). However, if the rental for the space for the farmers market is fairly cheap and your main purpose is exposure then I can’t see trying it hurting your business at all! People love to see full displays and tables so that was one of the trickiest parts. Making enough product without a lot of it going to waste. Let me know how it turns out!
yesss I relate so much with the sharing of the kitchen space with family members! such a struggle
Definitely!! Even with a larger kitchen I still get in my family’s way 😂
I have sold over 500 cakes and the fear that the cake I delivered today might not be good is super stressful. the stress is real!!!!
Totally!! It never truly goes away no matter the experience! Good luck-I’m sure they will like it but we are our worst critics 💕🍰

Yes! Doing sooooo much work for little payoff was the worst. It took me a while to price things properly for sure! 🥰🥰
I’m a new subscriber to your channel, so far I’m loving your videos. Great job!
Thanks for joining me, Ruby! 🥰
Amazing video as always!!! You really need more subs cause they are missing out.
Thank you so much, Shanice!! 🥰🥰
What are some examples of your pricing? Example, how much would you charge for a 6 inch 3 layer chocolate cake apposed to a 12 inch 2 tear cake?
Hi, really want to see your macaron recipe? Please please
I’m so sorry I can’t share it because I’m bound by the rules of the class that we can’t pass along the recipe as she sells it to her students!
