With a little help from his family members, he runs a thriving baking business Everything Just Baked that grossed over $100,000 in sales in 2021 and is on track to gross over $200,000 in sales by the end of 2022. Justin is also known for his hyper-real cake designs and was featured on the Netflix show “Is It Cake?”

@@Ellesappellejejeje Gross is what you bring in before all expenses like employees, taxes, and materials, and net is what you get to keep after all your bills are paid.
can he even do much more? $100,000 and about 300 working days is still $330 a day. expensive cakes are something for special occasions and i think it's great that he got the weekends full (with more expensive cakes) so quickly. if he manages 100k net because he gets more complex orders, he has already reached the maximum. he markets himself and no employees, so hiring others could damage the image and sales.

@@Goldzwiebel An option would be to raise the price to make the cakes. He has the skill, and it’s knowing your worth plays a big part in this. He is 100% worth it.

I don't see why the last cake is over 3500$ what's more elaborate vs the previous over the top 1500$ cakes?
A simple cake with a minimal design could be up to $300 especially if you don’t have a stablished enough business, when you do that price can be lowered for a simple cake.
bigger + more design of a cake takes a lot of cake which is money and a lot of decorating that cost money and then to add in the hours of time you spent on the cake it does equal out to high prices. Cakes aren’t cheap or else make it yourself

I'm not trying to be a hater but the cakes seem very expensive for what they are? the best looking ones are just basic cakes with stuff stuck on and the more complex ones seem sloppy/inexperienced, idk

Make your own flour…or find someone to pay hourly there in the kitchen to make your own flour~then sell any extra flour to a local restaurant that makes their own signature desserts:advertising your custom cakes and local purveyor quality.
