Being owner of XUV700 and family with 2 kids, I must say that I am drawn towards MPV just for space and practicality. But then driving fun is also important. It's a tough choice!
The headlamps of the xuv700 are truly fabulous. I've been partially blinded by them quite a no of times in well lit city roads. They even blind you from the orvms and rear view mirrors ,quite powerful.
Mahindra has got the id right but exterior is so busy , unnecessary lines cues , Scorpio n is better. Hence the hycross/ invicto is simpler and timeless in comparison. Looks are subjective
Looks are totally subjective - I've met many who find the ScorpioN 'Not goodlooking' and they prefer the Scorpio Classic over it (which I completely disagree with). I personally find the Invicto/Hycross too MUV looking and doesn't appeal to me as an only car in the family. To each his own I guess.
The 700 has been simplified massively in comparison to the 500. The 500 was too much looks wise...but 700 is smooth looks wise. And drive wise, few offerings on the market match it's pull. The pull of XUV 700 is intoxicating( petrol). Haven't driven the invicto but given the weight/torque figures, I bet it's "meh"

Invicto any day for me. Space and comfort takes priority for long term usage and highway comfort. Just that Hybrid is a bit too expensive despite impressive mileage.
@@baunbaun82Why safety? It's based on the TNGA-C platform. Same as Corolla, Corolla Cross and even the Prius. It's a truly global platform and perfectly safe. I'm sure this car will score 5 stars in ASEAN NCAP and BNCAP.
@@baunbaun82 No it does. ASEAN NCAP tests for side impact as well. Anyway, the above three cars I mentioned are 5 star rated in EuroNCAP and ANCAP also. As for Innova, it will never be tested by EuroNCAP and ANCAP because this car is not sold in those two markets. I mentioned ASEAN because Hycross will be tested by ASEAN NCAP since it's sold in South east asian countries as Innova Zenix.

By the time (age) you gain the financial flexibility to buy either of them, your obvious choice would be Toyota hycross/ invicto; ps: excitement/ fun to drive factor etc. wears down with age and practicality takes precedence in my view
I am seeing it the other way in myself and my peers. As you are spending more money on a luxury product, factors like fuel-economy and cost of maintenance take a back seat and performance and the fun to drive factor is more important.

Even if you want to go for the Himalayan, it's better to wait as end user reviews already suggest overheating issues and the Himalyan hasn't even seen the indian summers.
Himalayan might take about an year before launching Scram450. Scram411 is still new and price sensitive. Checkout their Himalyan video, they discuss that as well

I think with Phase 2 cars, Mahindra has build it's reputation right. Smooth, refined and bit more for niggle free. Only thing is, there's no proper 7 seater on Mahindra lineup except Marazzo and in the later case they have even forgot that it exists. If done right, Marazzo will become one of the best cars in that price lineup. Marazzo is also smooth and spacious than 7OO, in addition, can seat 7 with more comfort. The above is written as we own both 7OO(DSL manual AX7) and Marazzo (5 year old base M2 ). TBH, even now, I prefer Marazzo. Not sure about Invicto, as I have never experienced one, but will be an excellent product since it's a Toyota on Suzuki disguise.

JDM is hassle free to maintain even after 200k.. should i go for hyryder exchanging my jeep or elevate
Depends on your budget. If you are talking about |Under 20 lakhs| segment, go for the Elevate. It changes if you decide to extend it upto 25 lakhs, wherein Hyryder would be the best pick (if you want a Hybrid, else Seltos is equally impressive).
HyRyder/aGrand Vitara better - because with a heavier load they still remain composed. The Elevate gets a bit bouncy when loaded up. All quieter cabin in the Japanese duo are a big plus for longer distances.

Xuv is truly amazing with its suspension and engine... beautifully carved exterior but middle row are cramped seats are not comfortable... thats the main reason for me to skip hence its for family... loved it completely even though stability of the vehicle is not great..
In my opinion it’s the most confusing car. Amazing to drive but the company’s decisions on offering features and transmission make the customers not wanting to buy one..
It would be good you bring up real time issues and try to get updates from company on those. Example 700 has lower arm noise still not fixed even though company is replacing in warranty but even last year 700 has this issue which questions the realiability
The Atkinson cycle engine on Toyota's does hamper performance quite a lot. These new hybrids are fuel efficient for sure but that's about it. The Toyota hybrids are great for chauffeur driven crowds but do not offer any driver enthusiasm. Toyota should have used the regular Otto cycle engine along with hybrid tech to improve performance
XUV 7OO Diesel is just fabulous Mahindra's gonna tune their 2.2L mHawk to produce around 200HP and 500Nm for their upcoming facelifts and models prolly
Invicto/Hycross if practicality, reliability and longevity are your priorities. XUV, only if you need a diesel and AWD. XUV is fun to drive though and somehow drives more like a Ford than a Mahindra. Haven't driven the Invicto or Hycross, so can't comment on that.
I feel it’s not a right comparo. The XUV is a SUV with go anywhere character while the hycross is a MUV with great mile munching point A to B character. It’s like comparing an Ertiga with a Thar.
We can not migrate to tractors thay way we are scraching sports ? utility vehicles...Indaans try to adapt to ,,eliminate scratching backs... we pay premium toll... vehicle ware and tare strategy to make money, higher maintenance...bad roads, bad camaflashed speed brakers that too on highways ... end of toll road, it's a bungy jump... no you cannot blame any...

Invicto just doesn't look good from the side because of wheels and the MVP body style but because of that it's a better people mover like a MVP should on the other hand Mahindra should sober down on XUV 700 design slightly.
Agreed - they should have had the strong hybrid in lower variants. Also - the petrol engine is pretty efficient. As for the boot - for weekend trips - you can do a lot more with it than its rivals. Let us know when you check it out. Thanks!

@@motorinc xuv700 much more fun and involving to drive, plush interiors looks and feels luxurious meanwhile the invicto is large as well as spacious but very compromised on features and luxury. It's like a big dog catcher van rather an ambulance 🚑 type of vehicle with poor tacky interiors for that amount of money. Too large like a lorry 🚚 difficult to nibble in city traffic.

petrol even diesel is good test drive only done .. middle row seats are bad at least captain seats would have sealed the deal
Any front wheel drive with monocoque chasis is simply a MPV anywhere in the world. So both are MPV's. Ladder on frame and rear wheel drives are SUV's
As we saw with the XUV and Invicto/HyCross there is a difference. It’s not the same.
But XUV700 has an AWD

@@motorinc xuv700 much more fun and involving to drive, plush interiors looks and feels luxurious meanwhile the invicto is large as well as spacious but very compromised on features and luxury. It's like a big dog catcher van rather an ambulance 🚑 type of vehicle with poor tacky interiors for that amount of money. Too large like a lorry 🚚 difficult to nibble in city traffic.
