Haha, still remember being a young kid blasting one of these in early 80s where we got dumped on with snow and had a snow day called out from Jr High. I grabbed the Big Red and a bunch of us neighborhood kids blasting all over on balloon tired 200s and 185s! Such great times and thanks for the memories! 👍👍
@I ❤ the 80s😎 Thats badass! Thats a keeper! I regret I sold my kids (27 and 20 now) 1st ATC 70 they started out on as 5 yr olds. I bought it from a family friend & original owner. I did sell it back to his son though, for his grandkids to learn on.

The closest I ever got one of those was the model toy. So cool. Even the 6 inch toy model was amazing to look at. The details were just spot on.
My grandpa bought an 84 200ES and a 85 250 brand new off the showroom floor and just recently gave me his 84 ATC big red 200ES and it’s almost as clean as this one. Love the thing had a lot of memories on it as a kid in the late 90’s earlier 00’s.
I had the same machine, bought it used in 1988 from a local farmer. Very fun and reliable
My brother had an 82 110 honda atc we rode all the time. I have an 84 honda 200s atc and 2 85 honda atc 250r's to this day. Fun to ride! Nice example big red you have there!
Wow very clean Big Red! As for me being an old Honda Tech...I was at the dealership when these came out! The first year for shaft drive and reverse on the ATC's! I have worked on a lot of the old rascals! They were and still are a cool machine!

We had a 82 200s. My brothers buddy got the Big Red and had the racks and the small travel front forks. I thought it was super cool. Then we got a 84 250r which was just awsome. But all good times!
I had a 1982 Big Red, before it had shaft drive. My friend had a new 1985 Big Red, then I got a new 1986 350X that Christmas '85. I was only 14 years old, and the gas tank said "No riders under 16". I had to sit on the handlebars backwards to kickstart it. We tore it up back then, in Mason Neck, Virginia

I wrecked one of these a few months ago an the front end gave up so I put the motor on a atv frame an when I was going to get rid of the frame an that’s when the front end broke off on me an I rode it plenty before I parked it they are some tough ass machine

Lol this is a bike you wouldn't take home and ride around in the dirt mud etc its to good of shape to ruin good luck finding 1 in this shape lol
My grandpa had one back in the day. Mudding and sand dunes for days rode the piss out of it. He had it stumped within a few years
Where I live in eastern Iowa these were very common in the 80's growing up.

I broke my arm on my 81 Honda 185s. The tires never worked well for shocks......lol.
I grew up next to the vineyards in napa valley and the neighbors were a Hispanic family who maintained the vineyards, me and his son became friends and they had an old beat up on of these on the vineyards were used to take turns riding full speed up and down the rows. Was told it was discontinued because they used to tip over and kill people or something like that.

My 1985 atc250r still original 99% besides pipe and handle bars but I still have them it sits inside so sun don't fade og colors I don't ride it that much just around neigherhood 1nce a month lol

1985-1987 atc 250 es ( had the rear shock ) this is a 1984 only year 200 with shaft and reverse 1983 big red 200 was chain drive
Had one of these new back in 87 in chain drive before they were banned..was awesome on the beach.

My cousin had one of those and we rode the shit out of it I bought it from my uncle years later and fixed it up and it was nowhere near as good as that one unfortunately I had to sell it

I have a different approach, i kinda feel bad for it's being in such good condition. Original tires? That'd be like going to prom by yourself. Poor thing.
