Playing a game online now. The DM gave each of us our own private discord chat and has encouraged us to use it to keep a journal from our character's POV. They've also given us a couple of public prompts to answer about our character's backstories. Both have helped me flesh out my character quite a bit in ways I hadn't thought about before.
