  • What Made Me Come Travel To Addis Ababa Ethiopia? Why Should You Travel To Ethiopia? In this Ethiopia travel vlog I show a typical Ethiopian food followed by the traditional coffee (bunna) ceremony in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. I show how amazing the coffee is in Ethiopia and the pure joy I experience when drinking it. Ethiopia has such a rich culture, great food and those are a few reasons to travel to the beautiful African country of Ethiopia.

    Who am I?
A man from the USA trying to discover the world one place at a time, while sharing the experiences through my lens. I like traveling to places that are usually not first on most people’s itinerary and showing everyone that these places are worth the journey. I want to experience all the countries I visit as a member of the society but at the same time learn about the culture, food and beautiful people. Growth is not achievable without leaving your comfort zone, so just do it!

Nice video Myer, you are a very positive person. Also Eskinder (The Taxi driver friend of you is nice) Yes please be careful. Don't walk by yourself. Even though Ethiopians are a very nice people in general, there are bad people too. No place is Heaven. We want you to stay safe. Thank you for all your hard work.

I feel like people are becoming more cautious of being recorded on video because some tourists/visitors are very disrespectful. And these days you never know which part of TH-cam you're going to end up at LOL. Plus, Ethiopians, especially the women, tend to be conservative and reserved. But you're one of the most respectful and friendliest people I've seen, so I'm sure people will open up the more they get to know you.

My G injera is literally a flat bread. It is confusing you because we translate dabo to bread therefore you think people are referring to actual dabo when they say bread. Bread is just a general term for any baked goods from a dough with or without leavening. So injera is a type of bread. You might classify it as a pancake but that is still a type of bread called batter breads.

Also I wanted to mention that the lady that you asked her for the mobile credit she was just trying to be helpful she was asking if she can get you one from next door when you told her to bring the credit (ካርድ) she clearly was telling you she doesn’t have the money to buy it with it’s not that she was trying to run away with the 200 birr that you was gonna give her It’s that we Ethiopians are supper nice. I’m not saying you should trust everyone you see on the street but also the there are so many nice people there.

Hey Mr traveler...watch your mouth before you judge people...the parking attendant lady was being helpful but you talk about she might take your money. You said you lived 1.5 yrs in Addis before and by now you should have learned the culture and people's honesty. I advise you to be mindful before you judge anyone specially the one who tried to help. It is easy to notice from her uniform that she is at her work station but you are blinded by your camera and American ignorabt mentality. She has a good and honest personality than your 200 ETH birr and she doesn't deserve your unfounded suspension. Please also tell this biddy of yours Eskinder that he should know better....he knows she doesn't do that but he goes along with your bad mouthing...tell him to be honest when he assist people like you... He should not be tryibg to benefit at the expense of his proud and generous people. As a traveler don't assume rather be Respectful to the host nation.

When traveling in a forign country a person has to be careful with whom they are dealing with. I am Ethiopian and I would not trust anyone in Ethiopia whom I dont know. One should always take precautions in America let alone 3rd world countries. The governments are corrupt and sorry to say this so are many of the people. Dont be offended- and if you still are then you can send us your money and we can be care free with it. Myers Travels- I hope I am not coming off negatively.
