I love my Luna! The vibration is almost like a massage! Out of my 4 pumps I like it the best. My baby loves the bottles it came with and their storage bags are really nice too!
I got a motif luna with insurance and bought a spectra S1 out of pocket because I wanted the battery option. I ended up getting an external rechargeable battery for the motif luna to make it more portable and it’s the only pump that I use. It just empties me much better and faster than the spectra. I wish they’d already had the battery option when I had my baby a few months ago. Also the parts for the spectra and luna are all the same and they both are compatible with avent bottles so I also use the avent 9oz bottles to pump sometimes. So if someone were to try the spectra and then get a luna they wouldn’t have to get all new parts to go with it, which is nice.

Thank you. I had the Spectra S2 for my first baby and didn’t have a good pumping experience. I’m not sure if it was me not understanding how to best use all the settings or my supply was just terrible. I did power pumping sessions daily and was unable to produce enough for my baby
hi Kimberly! i recently just stopped breast feeding. I've never heard of these pumps before. i agree that they look very similar. love your comparison between the 2. very informative, thanks for sharing 🤗
Hi Kimberly. Your videos have been so helpful to me!! I am trying to decide now between the Spectra S1 and Ameda Mya. This is my first baby and I am hoping to BF. Do you have any guidance? I know it is more popular to use the Spectra S1 as a primary pump, but I know you are currently trying out the Ameda Mya. Thank you!
Kathryn Becker the Mya Joy review will be out soon. But the spectra is best for long term pumping. I’m so glad your finding my videos helpful! I have a couple other comparing videos so check those out and that could help you.
I’m a new mommy expecting in January 2021!! So pumping is alllllll new! Though I would prefer to have a pump with strong suction vs the more gentle. I know I will be anxious about if I’ve expressed everything or not, and it sounds like the motif will be the most reassuring pump. Is that a poor decision for someone who’s never pumped before, wondering if it would be hard on my nipples.. or sort of a to each their own kind of deal.
Hey, I was wondering what you'd recommend. With my 1st, I had the medela in style. I was never able to pump anything with it and it left me extremely sore. I ended up using the Medela manual pump, and got a fair amount for a couple months. I'm due at the end of April with Twins and I'm sure which one would be the best for me.
Can you explain the suction a little more on these two? Do they both have a “suck, suck, suck, release” type suction or is it the “in, out, in, out” style suction?
I have a spectra s2 but it's not great for me because if I slow the rate down to get a longer pull it creates the same long gap between pulls and that doesn't get milk out fast enough. Any suggestions for a pump with a longer pull but still a short break in between?
Heather Onder thats kind of a hard one, i know zomee does longer pulls but it does slow down. I cant post a photo but they did send me a diagram of their settings. I do wish you could change the length of the suction, i have a super genie now and I love the customization for it, i just wish the suction lasted a little longer or that i could change it.

Natascha Rosales I know it stinks that they didn’t come out with the luna and battery option at the same time.
Hey, which external battery did you get? I also ordered my Luna before the came out with the rechargeable one.

It’s so hard to know which would be best! Both pumps are similar too. Which is nice to either one would be good for you.

I would def look into the spectra pump!!

It’s a vibration like suck, so more of a suck suck release. It’s not like a pull.
How do I upgrade to the battery option? I went to the website and the only options its giving me is the adapter only
Which website are you using?

Could you do a freemie cup to freestyle flex hack? I got the flex before I even knew the hack was a thing lol
Danielle Routhier I don’t have my freemies anymore but I can check and see if there is a hack.
This could help!?
