Happy Saturday team 😎 Hope you enjoy the EP. It has to be our favourite destination & episode so far! 🙌 Who was lucky enough to score Monday off for that extra long weekend? 🤩
Hi guys, stumbled across your channel about a week ago and working my way through the episodes, I retired 4 weeks ago today and the "boss" and I will start hitting the road early next year. You pair are such a great combination that most people can relate to (we have kids about your ages) and are doing a fabulous job. Very informative stuff. Can't help noticing the "lingo" Brad and got you tagged as a Valley lad. Being a lifetime Cessnock/Newcastle "boy" (66) the vernacular is so familiar. Thanks to you both for the training you are providing this little black duck. Now to get back to catching up on all your episodes. Cheers!
Hey Danny, congrats on your retirement & thanks for the kind words mate! You're pretty close, grew up in Lake Mac/Newcastle. It still feels like home for us. All the best with getting on the road and who knows, we might just catch you out there some day 😁
@@our.australia.trip. Keep having fun doing what you are for as long as it works for both, cheers, you are making a lot of people happier than they were before seeing your episodes and it's a pleasure to see!!
Not many coastal places in Australia better than the Esperance area. I envy you doing Oz for the first time. Seeing new places and meeting great people along the way is an amazing experience.
Thank you! I have a bought a fully equipped van with WA plates and have always wanted to see WA. Your beautiful episode has made me more determined to get there sooner than later. I live in Queensland so it will be a big trip with a dog 😀🐾
That's awesome guys, the goldy has some awesome spots too but Esperacnce is like nothing we've seen or experienced!! Thanks for tuning in & happy Sunday 🙌😁
Thats it Im gonna start walking their Never knew how such beauty was not so far. Only 1 full day drive I usually travel to Cairns and do all that. Might do this next year
Hey you two, just started watching your vids and I'm loving the way that you are so real and have a really great mix of chat, music and drone time in your videos!. Awesome guys and keep them coming, please! Phil
Thanks Phil & Clare, so glad you are enjoying the videos! We try keep it as natural as possible, while still being brief, fun and interesting. Quite the juggling act sometimes! We have a lot of great adventures and memories to share & will continue to document our trip 😊 Really appreciate you tuning in. B&H
What a cracker of a video. Such an amazing place and it's clear that it's a special and memorable destination. We cant wait until we start travelling 👏
Thanks Jase, it was jam packed hey 😅 Next one is a cracker too, heading east into Cape Arid which is equally as stunning. Its a great lifestyle & I bet you're getting some good ideas watching the vids mate 🤙
My wife and I recently came across your channel. We love the genuine excitement you guys express discovering new destinations on your journey. (have seen others lose this component of their vlogs). Keep Living Life and best wishes for what your future brings. 👌👌
I always used MT tyres on all my cruisers. When the new MT tyres came out I went looking for new treads and ended up with Falken Wildpeaks. Only done 15k so far but handling the big van really nicely.
Getting a few suggestions for the Falkens, We had them on our Hilux previous but didn't put that many kms on before we sold the car. Good to get a recount regarding the van, they will be high on the list when the time comes to replace the shoes!
Falken Wild Peaks AT3s. Have done 88,000ks on mine mostly towing 3T and still have 9mm of tread. We have been on all kinds of surfaces and run 45psi rear and 40 psi front and rotate every 10k or so. Highly recommend them. Smooth and quiet on the road.
Great episode, guys! Beaches in WA are epic, for my wife and me it was like paradise when we‘ve arrived our first time in the SW of WA, many times were following ( you know, Switzerland has no beaches.. 😉) Concerning tires for your Cruiser: we think it is like religion, your hear good and bad things about every brand. On our blue Troopy in Europe we run BFG , no issues yet. On our trip to the Kimberley , Gibb , Mitchell falls, Bungles and many other bonebreaking tracks.... we did run Toyo Open country’s on our LC200 and the camper trailer, no issues at all, of course having always the appropriate pressure .... Makes sense to have tires with similar age on the truck and van, I always ask the mechanic at service to rotate them around clockwise, spare wheels included, to run them down equally. Cheers, guys and enjoy WA !
Thanks legends! The beaches here are certainly world class. I agree & sounds like you guys have done some serious travelling!! Nice to hear from you 🤙🏼
I moved from NSW to WA 11 years ago and Esperance has been my favourite place. you should enjoy the Southern part but it will start getting cold there soon. I usually travel north in winter.
Other significant area's down there are Albany War Memorial and Whaling Museum. Further west, Greens Pool is maybe Australia's best reliable snorkelling spot. The Giants Tree Walk is pretty good too.
I’m pretty sure if I Remember correctly as a child living in Esperance lovers cove was a nudist beach. I grew up doing swimming lessons at the main beach off of the jetty, great experience! I’ve been living in wld last 20 years and the amount of times I’ve said WA has the best beaches when people say how beautiful it is in QLD. Waaaaay better than the Whitsundays
i am glad i got the tyres i have. i bought the cheapest tyres i could i payed $175 per tyre and two have have done 120,000 klms and the others 100,000 klms and still have 8mm of tread left
Wow guys!!!!! I can see why this is your fave episode so far, it’s mine too (or maybe a tie with the Cape episodes 😂) Jam packed full of amazingness. Your footage is next level spectacular. I’m so glad you said 12 months for WA, you are in for such an incredible year. (If you happen to be in Broome early August let me know, I’ll be there then) I love how much you always love and appreciate where you are, it comes through the screen and always makes me smile the whole way through. 😊😊😊
Hi Robyn, they are all so special & nothing can compare to the sense of camaraderie & adventure we experienced on the cape trip! Thank you for the kind words as always 🥰 We will be up that way somewhere for sure but not quite exactly sure of dates for Broome yet. Will send you a message for sure when we are certain ❤️🍷
We missed that this time, with winter closing in & needing to stop for work. Will be back later in the year to enjoy a SW summer & catch all the places we missed.🙌
Grab yourself a set of tyre pressures monitors for the Ute and van they pay for them self ,it’s good to know what’s going on especially on corrugated roads when you can’t feel or see if anything is not right .if the south coast has got you this excited your going to wet yourself in the north west 🍻
Cheers Darren & will do mate! We have one hell of an itinerary planned for the rest of the year. Can't wait to get up there, hearing some amazing things & can't wait to experience it for ourselves 🤩😎
Locals tell me on our 6 or so trips to Esperance they get to a beach & if anyone is there they just go on to the next beach!! 🤣😂 Its the whiteness of the sand that makes the water seem extra clear!
I can see why, mind blowing the amount of a grade spots here. Yes the sand is quite unique too, very similar to the silica sand on Whitehaven beach in the Whitsundays!
What an amazing episode!! We just sat and watched with a smile on our face. Fantastic photography again. Great to see a young couple so in awe of their surroundings. We are past travelling that far from Sunshine Coast but you guys take us there 🤩
Thanks for tuning in guys! & appreciate your long term patronage 🙏 We live in such a special and diverse country, the changing wildlife & landscape is something were constantly in awe of. Another great episode, thanks fopr sharing your journey. Can you tell me your thinking on going clockwise for your lap. I look longingly at your beautiful Kedron XC3 every episode, they are such a lovely van.
Thanks for tuning in again Rob! Well we left in winter 2022 from the Gold Coast & wanted to do Cape York first off the bat. Need to be on the Mid North Coast of NSW in Oct so couldn't go across the top into the NT. Since then we're basically just chasing the warmer weather. Us too, such a classic looking van 🙌
Thanks for the great WA beach episode - we are heading to WA from QLD in July, can’t wait your adventure to plan our trip! On your Nullarbor crossing you had a blow-out with the Mickey Thompson - we had one almost exactly out of Wilcannia - same tyre as yours delaminated. Just a quick question I also have 79 series - I noticed you are running a thin strip reflective across your dash. Did you cut that up yourself out a full window reflector? Cheers Chris
Gday Chris & thanks for dropping a comment mate 🤙🏼 That’s epic & plenty of good times to come for you guys! The tyre sucks but it’s kinda nice to hear, I don’t believe I’ve been all that unkind to these & to suffer a failure like that was a bit disappointing. The reflective strip was just cut out of a screen protector, the glare when crossing the Nullarbor was next level!! If you watch videos prior to Barossa, we had a thin strip of tint on to reduce the glare & it makes quite a noticeable difference. Unfortunately we had to replace our windscreen so with that we lost the tint, tried the reflective strip out but have since taken it off & will replace it with some more tint soon.
A lot of Europeans would always say that the Australian beaches are not as blue or clear like the beaches in Europe. They are so wrong .They need to visit WA .Your video is awesome .These beaches are incredibly blue ,clear with very white pristine sands .Thank you so much for videoing Esperance beaches.
Shh don't tell them 🤣🤫 The sand is comparable to Whitehaven beach, very high silica content I guess. Just amazing the way it compliments those pristine southern ocean blues 😍
It’s only because to get crystal clear water in Au you have to be out of the metro areas. In Europe a lot of metro seaside areas have crystal clear water.
Excellent camera and commentary. We are doing the same route, and have less time, but you have much better video . Esperance is stunning, but wait until you see Albany and Denmark ! It just keeps getting better as you move west !
G'day Chad, it's a pretty special place right! Ah we were not long ago at the Rockliffe winery & camp at Denmark & loved our brief stay 😍🍷 Cheers & happy travels 🤙
It's pretty special over here! Hard to take a bad shot 🤩 Do it!! You won't regret it.. maybe just wait for it to start warming up a bit though cause it has chilled off quite significantly 🥶
rewatching this video! Esperance seems unreal. Never seen beaches like this! Were you nervous swimming out to the rock island at Twilight beach? You said it was unnerving but I'd have been too scared because of the Great Whites! Love this channel and living vicariously through your adventures! 😊

Hey guys 😊I met you in Esperance Woolworths with the little baby running around haha! Love this episode we can't wait to see what else you get up to ! Lovers cove is an awesome beach but as you would of learnt there's soooo many beaches and ppl love their beach driving we forget to hidden gems close to town :)!
Also twilight is very common for great whites ! It's not uncommon for the surfclub to rescue people off the rock when they are spotted! Wylie bay or "kelp beds" to locals is notorious for shark attacks most of the last attacks where on that beach
Hey Elle! So nice to meet you guys. You really live in paradise down there 🤩 We were lucky to not run into or see any bitey boys, went looking for them quite often with the drone but they must've been occupied with the salmon 😂 In future we will be much more careful & less naive down that way 😳🦈
Awesome video and great editing guys. While doing a tour inside the van, it looks like you have taken the washing machine out of the bathroom. Is that correct or am I imagining things?
Thanks Martin! I can see what you mean. The door is just open against the back wall. That’s the inside of the door you can see - we keep it open so it can dry out when not in use 👍🏼
Hi Louise, we were there late feb & stayed in the overflow council camp in town (CV parks were booked out) and then pink lake tourist park when there was availability
I've been a BFG lover for yrs but since covid and availability I had too try something else , Trying out a set of Falken Wildpeaks done a out 15k kms and they wearing very good and great on the road , and got the load capacity , Def buy them again !
Cheers Justin! We had a set on our Hilux & were quite happy with them. Didn't do much towing & didn't have them on for long before we sold it so good to hear! Might be worth looking into when the time comes 🙌
Good job again guys the water looks so good. Are you heading all the way up the west coast? What month was the filming around Esperance.Tight lines 🦐🐟🦈🎣👍
Gday Rod & thanks for stopping by again! It was insane, swimming pool conditions at the beach 🤩 We most certainly are! Esperance was late Feb, just before it started getting cold.
Thanks B Rad and Hayley love watching your journey might cross paths one day still waiting for house to get sold and new caravan finished just needs to be shipped to dealer then will be able to load and weigh to get ready.Maybe some short trips 🦐🐟🦈🎣👍
You're well on your way then!! Hope everything runs smoothly with the sale & trip prep 🙌 Would be a treat to bump into you mate, at this rate the more we travel the more our list of places to visit grows! Id say were going to be on the road a while before were satisfied 🤣

Hi, love the videos what time of year are you at Esperance? Also, where did you stay in Esperance?
Hi Louise, we were there late feb & stayed in the overflow council camp in town (CV parks were booked out) and then pink lake tourist park when there was availability
What time of year did you go? I’m planning a trip for next year :)
Around February 😊
