in this video we go over 5 amazing classes that you can main in maplestory newage! Newage / 6th is coming to maplestory soon so thought it would be a good idea to showcase some great mains to potentially main in maplestory!

Another thing that makes Explorers amazing is their ability to switch jobs. This makes them basically immune to nerf's and means that putting time and effort into them will never be a waste. For example if Nexon decides that Bishops should only be supportive and reduces their damage, just switch to F/P Mage and continue solo bossing like nothing happened.

Yeah, until you start leveling up your 6th job after New Age. Any progress towards maxing your 6th job on one class will be lost upon job-switching, so you're basically locked into one class unless you like to have your progression reset 🙂

Any tips for someone that just came back to maple 15 years later
You just named 3 of my 250+ or soon to be 250+ classes. I am a 270 hero main (destiny tera burn#2), with a 254 i/l sub main (ignition hyper burn), 250 bishop (savior hyper burn) and a 236 f/p (destiny tera burn#1) (soon to be new age hyper burn). I also really love DW, Buc, and Chadower. There are 25-30 classes that I could see myself maining, but nobody has time for that. I have a 180 NL and a 180 NW, but I just don't have time to build them.
Isn't burning event almost over as of the release date of this video? :(

i love Hero and he was my very first char in maplestory years ago but ditched it
now to go back to it but not sure if i have to hyper burn it to 260 or train it normal my hero is 235!!!!

Just do the math if you'll land at 260 from 202, If I'm not mistaken, 203 should be the level you stop.
I would do dailys till 206 so you dont even notice not getting the symbols.
Any rewards below 202 you will not be able to receive.
So basically you miss out on lvl 200 reward.
Would 7k legion be enough to main a F/P or bishop? I have a lvl 230 I/L that i stopped playing when i had lower legion but I'm considering job changing this mage. I also have a lvl 209 hero prepped for the new age hyper burn, but would like something in between lazy/easy mobbing but still good bossing with a duo/trio party. Also considering dumping the 1k nodes we get on this char since it will be a main.
Explorer mages need as high legion as possible. I have almost 9k legion and I still can't put blocks into boss damage because you have to max out in crit damage, IED, buff duration before you can put into boss damage. Explorer mages are one of the few classes that want you to get to 9k if not 10k legion to live up to your full potential.
I recommend that you get to atleast 8k legion if you want to seriously play an explorer mages.
7k is definitely enough to main bish. I just hit 7k and have a 260 bish and Im not really struggling at all. Just have a bossing/mobbing legion pre-set, and just do your normal buffs/gskills when bossing and youre good. Yeah getting high legion is always good but that is alooot of effort and I don't feel like I'm struggling. As a bish main that just hit 7k legion, go for it! It's honestly such a fun class and the mobbing is so chill.
@@Steelilbies as a bish, you dont need high IED since you have Angelic Wrath. You also can put points in hyper stats if you need boss dmg. My buff duration block is not maxed, but it's high enough than I can rotate infinity which was priority. This way of thinking discourages people from playing explorer mages, I'm a returning player and mained Bish, had like literally 300 legion and enjoyed the journey of playing bish.
Bishop doesn't have high legion requirement compared to FP or IL, has all the crit rate and high ied. Just needs buff duration. FP and Bishop have lazier mobbing than IL. I would try to at least play both before dumping nodes, they are very different in playstyles from IL. As for FP, the 7k legion is okay but you will need your inner ability to carry some of the weight with crit rate or buff duration. I recommend FP over Bishop on lower gear funding because Bishop solo damage is really weak until endgame, and you have to do 5% in parties now.

@omer0544 yes 100% recommend. its incredibly strong with the new origin skills and its a rlly brain dead class with a very easy grinding rotation with eclipse and elysion

Just switched from DA to DW myself. I used to hate training, now it's not so bad. But yea it's super brain dead gameplay, you literally use alternate between 3 skills during cooldowns and take 40 seconds afk breaks every 3 minutes. Bossing is good, training is good. I do miss gliding as a DA, but oh well :P
Dawn warrior is absolutely amazing, would definitely recommend

I just came back to MS, and I ended up rolling a dice cause I didn't know who to choose and the dice chose Cadena for me. Set cadena as burning toon and respectively, Cadena is a little bit tougher than I imagined.... Now I regret it, but I think i'll give it a try. Just got to lvl 93.
The Paladin will always be one of my recommendations, if not as a main then as a bossing mule at least. You literally can't die even while trying to sometimes, and though the damage isn't topping any charts, it's still relatively strong with its marks, debuffs, and (three minute) burst.
Who is dying on bossing mules? Why take a class that "can't die" but is less meso efficient for damage.

You shouldn't be dying much on bosses for boss mules and Paladin mains are very disappointed by their 6th job, I'd main a Hero instead and only switch to Paladin for party bossing

More like for paladins you can literally just ignore boss mechanics so you shouldn't be dying at all.
@@feed799 Just teaches bad habits. Its dpm is low and you can clear much faster with most classes. At the endgame level, Mihile is just better for invalidating mechanics.
mentioned Hero but didn't include footage of one of the greatest of the class. They go by the name of "Golem".
currently in the process of changing mains. Happy to see NW on the list, because thats what I was leaning towards going with. Now it feels like a much safer pick than before, seeing it in top 5 of a few lists from different creators.

I Think Kain should be added to the List Kain Strong Burst Decent survivability 3.4sec I frame burst can be used as an inframe the full map one little funding needed to defeath bosses
Kain is def going to be insane in New Age but no one plays it

Thoughts on Battle Mage?
Leveling to 200 is a pain. After 200 the class changes into a summon class. So if you don't feel like summoning a bunch of turrets on cooldown to do your mobbing then the class won't be for you. You teleport around the map killing things during the short window that your summons aren't up. Teleport movement is kinda fun but very spammy feeling to me, and the class can give useful party buffs. Supposedly really strong in 6th job, but it's still going to be Battle Mage. Just with big damage.
I am most certainly using that hyper burn on my fresh 250 dual blade. Screw other classes, i am 260'ing my forever main first xD
Would highly consider just making a fresh char for the bossing mule if anything to fund your main. It’ll naturally get to 260 if you dump all the mag potions and event buffs we will definitely get since you can’t use them on burning char anyway. It’s fairly fast 250-260 if you just do monster park, weeklies, and dailies. I’m a dailystory player and did it in like 1-2 months on my main bucc early in the hyper burn event while getting a easy 250 hero mule. It was especially sweaty rushing khaki to 220 towards the end of their overlapping event too but all worth it. Doubles+ your income

How big is the difference of quality of life between someone on the top of your mains tier list (ex. F/P) vs someone you put on the bottom (ex. Cannon Master)
I don’t think too massive. But it depends on the class. Anything pit against Evan would be a massive difference in quality of life. I use to main cannon master and I personally think that class has the BEST mobility in the game. Bossing was amazing but training was a little clunky at times(lacking vertical range sometimes)
I guess the important thing to keep in mind is that tier lists don't really matter much unless you're SUPER funded. The great thing about Maplestory is that the wide range of classes means there's variation in gameplay. So pick the class that you like the look of and go from there. There's always legion and link skills that benefit other characters anyway, so if you decide to switch class it's not time wasted. They all end up buffing each other
@@lorde5878 Difference is massive. Cannon master is top 5 weakest class in the game right now and I've talked to endgame cannon master mains. Cannon master mobility is pretty good for things like mobbing but in bossing, other classes have more utility. Even a class as simple as Dawn Warrior have very useful grounded mobility which cm lack.
If you enjoy Cannon Master play it. The game is supposed to be fun, and you're going to be grinding hours and hours on your main most likely. So pick a class that you can see yourself spending hours and days grinding on. Items make a huge difference and almost any difference in strength can be bridged with enough time and luck. Also, next patch your class might be the OP one and the current OP classes might get heavily nerfed. Just pick what you find fun and take tier lists as suggestions of currently OP classes for meta chasers.
Class diff is legit 100fd right now. Game is laughably unbalanced.
im currently maining bishop but i dont really enjoy solo bossing on it.. its just meh unless you are jaepy tbh
im picking a second main for new age and im insecure in between battle mage, cadena and hayato cuz theyre fun to me
im honestly burnt out off thieve classes, i enjoy them as bossing mules not much as mains tho besides cadena
if you were to decide between these 3 which would u pick and why?
battlemage > hayato > cadena, only play cadena if you really like it, giga effort do do average damage, its almost 35% weaker than 1 button classes like nw, nl, hero, dw

They shoulda made more support classes with varying skills instead of putting 99% of it on Bishop. I want to play support, but most other classes don't support nearly as well as Bishop. I can't stand mobbing on Bishop but I really like to play support. I know Beast Master can support, and Battle Mage can support a bit and some other classes have buffs, but other than Beast Master and Battle Mage most of the other support is just a partywide buff of some kind. They don't feel like real support to me.
Mihile, a 5 second with 8 second CD with royal guard in the form of royal guard, each successful royal guard gives att / m.att buff for allies plus a 10% hp shield.
Their burst gives them 100% crit and IED, 3 minute cycle burst and amount to 80% or so of your damage. Their burst also applies a 80% damage reduction for your entire team, and they have a massive HP shield 5th job that can either be used in burst or defence.
They have a 10% damage debuff on monsters too, not as potent as bishops, but still 10% free damage for party ontop of all the other buffs and actives mihile bring.
Mihile is the support warrior and it feels good to play IMO.

i main Demon Slayer, but I would say Buccaneer and Dawn Warrior definitely deserves the mentions they got down below.

Pick whatever you think is fun. Getting to 260 is a grind even with the burning, so just do a class you like.
If you have no idea, you can't go wrong with Dawn Warrior or Bucc. I burned a DW this last burning event and he was the strongest class by far I've had without funding. Super fun to play, for me at least. I also recently got a bucc to 210 and they are also super strong and fun to play. Up to you though! Just don't stress about it. There will likely be events like this every 6 months from now on, so you aren't stuck forever with whatever you pick :)
Its up to your preferred playstyle. Windbreaker is fun where grinding and bossing is decent and having a good and burst

I have a NW 260 currently, do definitely love it. Also have my shadower at 255 just about, super fun and strong burst DPS
How difficult is the “weave” mech with shadower? Cuz i was thinking about hyper burning shadower. N also the mobbing
@@asianrollzz648 Weaving isn't hard, it's the animation canceling weaving optimally that is more difficult but everyone can learn it. Mobbing is insane, doesn't even need strong meso explosion and has some of the best rates at endgame maps.
No the weakeness of Shadower is the burst but that will be better addressed in 6th job. Its damage is very high but in real bossing situations, a class like NL can deal more of its theoretical output with just bind and burst. With Shadower you're working your butt off trying to optimize damage which gets harder at the endgame level.

DA is a sleeper pick also buffing shields was a brilliant move.
As a DA main, it's not a sleeper pick at all. You see larger numbers because of the scaling, but the number of lines you hit (or lack of) makes the class not that great. Training is meh, bossing is meh. The pro is that it's super easy to fund, you'll roll HP lines very easily.

currently training a bishop and I managed to survive against magnus for like 5 minutes straight or something without dying at all. that being said, the fact that i survived 5 minutes without dying doesn't mean im able to kill him, it just means that i dont die. whether thats a good thing or not, it depends.

Just gonna say most of this vids are bait because you should never pick a main based off how strong it is because all it takes is 1 patch to make it dog water.
You should instead just look into classes and pick the ones play style you like. e.g. I've mained kaiser since it came out and it's currently got the worst burst in teh game but idc cause I think it's cool, fun and satifying to play.
The one class that he reccomends that is safe is bishop sinc eit's the best support class and will typically get you into carries.
Yes and we say this almost every stream. Ark is a perfect example of this. Bottom of the classes one patch then one of the best the next
