incredible update, focusing on early players is how you make a game more popular since the average person doesn’t have time to grind for hours every day so it’s definitely the best decision

Holy shit, idk about most people, but not having to do some spreadsheet to schedule shit, and then FORGETTING ABOUT THAT SPREADSHEET. Just having a planner in game might actually get me to progress, I log in, do dailies, and just forget there is more game to do. That might be the biggest QOL for my ADHD brain.
at 260, it takes 5 hours to do 6th job pre, change condenses this to less than 1 hour
ah, i just remembered it took me 3 hours because I did it during the identisk event with better EXP buffs, and I was able to one shot in Grandis! Thanks for the comment

This made me realised how i wish i returned when this update go live.The amount of hours ive played was ridiculous.
is there even a purpose for a returning player like me to come back before this update comes out for GMS reboot? I have no real main and was just planning on working on my legion (I have a few chars below 200 still that I was planning on grinding out). would it make more sense to just wait for the main story quests to do that? and then hyper burn a new main? to me it sounds like the effort I was planning on putting in would be wasted for the most part if I am just focusing on my legion like I said
there are certain dailies you want to start as quickly as possible like hellux. If you start when this update comes out, you could be behind on that VS starting ASAP. You can wait to finish later if you want, but I recommend starting your main asap
5:00 The only potentially bad thing about the blitz 0-200 levelling is losing relevance for all the cool maps we have (Ludi, korean folk town, el nath, mu lung, magatia, etc.)
They are already irrelevant, people just tp rock to the most efficient map

They are on the right path, and people who complain about not enough end game content, come on, instead of complaining, invite a friend to the game and enjoy the new stuff for early players
the popularity of Demon Slayer is insane so it will definitely make it to GMS but who knows they did Reincarnation of a Slime in Japan but never brought it to GMS.

pre-big bang player here, I recently came back to the game (blind) now that im a little older and have the funds for it. I made a ridiculous error by not checking which region i was playing. I grinded out 7 characters to 200 and started expiriencing latency issues, come to find out i was on the EU region. This short-cut to 200 is HUGE for me cuz now i dont have to worry about grinding out all those characters again on the US region. cant wait for this update and getting the grind started FOR REAL this time.

looks like an insane update.. but man, im pretty sad about the whole "rush to 200" thing. makes the whole maple world feel pretty useless and even more dead.
im so sick of the arcane river man. i really wanted some kind of exp scaling for old maps and quests, there's so many questlines out there that i havent experienced yet and some i'd love to do again, like mu lung and shaolin temple etc ;/
They need to push old dungeons to level 210+ at least IMO

What I am interested in though is how the 0-200 grind will be handled with zero, because of the class being so story driven for a very prolonged period of the progression until 180.

returning player here, I've been playing for about two weeks now but when is this Milestone update(especially the Aran/Shade remaster part) expected to hit GMS?
As long as the Demon Slayer event isnt complete dogshit like the Konosuba one. I was so disappointed at how worthless that "event" was
Damn! I'm so glad I decided to give Ms another shot after the whole NA reboot and cubing debacle. This definitely sounds very promising and a step in the right direction! Now if only they could bring back party exp and party zones to make people more sociable and make grinding with others actually possible, it might go back to it's hayday but I have a feeling that's long gone. Oh well, still really great update! Ty for covering it duky
one thing that's always unclear to me with these class burn events is can i use it on ones i have already? i got a 120 aran and 180 shade sitting around, but if its for new ones only i should just delete them before the event starts no?

As a new player, lvl 1-200 is learning the basics of your combos for some of these classes
nah trust, 0-200 is nothing nowadays
0-100 is mostly learning some buffs and a bunch of attacking skills you'll likely never use.

Yeah, especially with all the Growth Potions we're getting all the times. On Interactive server, I now have several pages with characters on 200+, most because of Growth Potions. Among them Shade and Aran. XD
Quick question so you just uploaded a video explaining who to pick for hyper burning and the top of the list was Aran, so based off of this update probably coming up soon in the later months, should we not make an Aran hyper burning for Go West update?

I believe it’s 2 total
It’s not a hyper burn it’s a Tera burn for aran and shade
It's the 2nd, 1 hyper burning + tera blink for aran OR shade and 1 normal one we always get. So 2 hyper burning in total

The point of number crunch is to solve an architectual problem with the servers of FFXIV not being able to handle large numbers. It has nothing to do with players being too powerful.

I would actually go as far to say the implementation they have for character swapping is not like any other MMO, and comparing that hotswap between characters to something like changing characters in WoW as the same system is just almost disingenuous. The Maplestory new character swap system is INSANE.
