Combo and Cube's special levels are only in the western versions of the game. The reason was because they wanted to be more appealing to a western audience, so they introduced Grind City which looks like New York.
@@Harpotosfair enough. I prefer the English voices because that's what I'm used to but I think I heard/read somewhere that De La has more polish or something
@@radicalcentrist4990Those levels were still pretty fun and the more edgy music they had also made things pretty interesting, it shows that people are also doing extreme stunts, graffiti and grinding in other parts of the globe besides just Japan in that universe while listening to their countries own style of music.
having the crews start out already grinding about is pretty cool. They could've done some interesting starting point like poison jam charging you at the start
He did the same on De La Jet Set Radio too so to put it simply...only Japanese Beat smirk after finishing mission Edit: Never mind, only Steam version of Beat doesn't smirk
My problem with the upcoming Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is its looks like its trying to be what 80% of JSRF was. I always preferred the original Jet Set Radio and even 20 years later I wish another release was similar to the first. Never like how they got ride of the time and how they got ride of the points system and the minigame when you spray paint. also there is no sprint button in JSRF.
I 💯 get it, I always preferred the original JSR, because of the asymmetry of the levels, JSRF is just too linear for my taste. I don't know how BRC is, but I hope they didn't make the maps linear like JSRF and made them more like JSR.
This is the version I grew up with, where can I find it? I can only gind the De La Jet Set Radio version which is an updated version released in Japan based on the international version, please help.
im trying to do a full graffiti in this version but idk the key button to press i tried everthing and it didn't work someone help me pls i played jet set radio so im playing the jp version so what key button is it to press it to work?

SInce there's no maps in grind city like in the original, Combo and Cube's background didn't exist, so they appear in a different order and some challenges were switched between characters. Also some different graffitis, different songs and no secret characters. These are all the differences that I remember at moment.
@@DreamcastSoupYT honestly I'm not sure about the songs. I know they're not in the HD version, but I'm not sure if they are in the other dreamcast versions

Didn't know about that, I thought it was because the game overall was short.
@@dabize yeah and even if those levels are considered the worst, it's still better to have something extra. That makes the western version better.
I usually play De La Jet Set Radio, it's a Japanese re-release with the extra content.

this version is very cool but i like the additional story with combo & cube in all other releases
they do add some nice background for the overall game
Yes in De La Jet Set Radio

Cube's design is so much better in this version than in the American/EU version. I wonder why they changed it?
True, it is really stylish!
Nah she is much better in the American/EU
Also I realised that beat smirks when you finish a mission in this version only since I never seen it in hd

In western version
Yo-yo: YO YO

Yo-yo: y o
he's a man of even fewer words in the japanese version

A new JSR game got leaked a week ago it’s been in development since 2021

You gotta walk up to the snipers to get them to run away. That way you don't have to deal with them shooting you all the time.
truee, just learned that a few days ago xd
japanese voice actors sound like they don't even wanna try to sound cool or happy TT, still cube's design is waaay much better tbh
cube is just a vibe
I wonder why they recast the characters, considering they never even talk.
It wouldn't surprise me if it was because they sounded too "japanese"
cool shit never seen the japanese version played on youtube
lmao nice editing lil bro

How can I play the japan version?
Buy the japanese version and dump it to your pc, there's good guides online that explain how to do this.

Oh, so Sega realesed De La Jet Set Radio because the original japanese game was so broken?
I don't know if it was broken even. From what I've heard De La Jet Set Radio is the global version but in japanese. Still I'm not 100% sure!
