Hunting coinstars is so hit and miss, for me. Maybe because I know there's at least one other person in the area doing it too🕵‍♂. The hard thing is most machines around me are placed right by the registers, so going under would be highly frowned upon. The machines you visit must be pretty regularly used. Many of them around here must be very rarely used as the output tray shows no wear/paint missing.
The machine you visit that has the dinged quarters maybe come from another source where they get the damage, like a coin-laundry? Curious.
