Hey Jack. Indian gold looks different than normal jewelry gold. It is more pure. I’d check that cultural stuff closely.
He presumably judges primarily on feel, not color. Costume jewelry is generally far less dense.
Gold from India is usually 24k

Jack, the 'coffee maker' at 29:30 is actually an electric kettle. You put water in it to boil for tea, or instant dehydrated coffee... Hi from Australia, where a kettle is a household staple.

Always check your coins for 1964 or older dimes, quarters, half dollars and dollars. They’re 90% silver and worth way more than their face value.

Thanks for another great locker video. It must have been nice to have a locker where everything was organized and mostly clean after the one with everything just thrown on top of each other. Lol. Curry leaves are a spice, the yellow powder is It’s turmeric, other spices used for Indian dishes are cardamom, cloves, mustard seeds, cumin, coriander, cloves, fenugreek, saffron, bay leaves, cinnamon sticks, basil, paprika, chili powder.

Indian formal wear can be really expensive, the box that was falling apart possibly looked to have some more traditional stuff in it might be worth having a deeper look into the stuff in there

Still think you should’ve checked those coins out first some of those dollar coins the gold ones for cheerio coins could be worth up to $250 each

Regarding coinstar machines. if it ever kicks back a US coin, make sure to check if it's silver. Those machines know when a US coin is silver and subsequentaly kicks them out. Silver coins would be a Quarter, Dime all from 1964 and earlier. Half Dollars from 1970 and earlier.
I heard that they upgraded the machines to no longer kick back silver. Not sure if that's true, but someone told me that recently.

Attagirl Camille! That cooking box had some NICE cookware in it, all Indian food-specific. That lei looked like something from an Indian wedding. I think grooms wear those. Too bad the clothes don't sell for much, but those looked like BITTY sizes. Odds are the lady came here to get married, had six kids and couldn't fit into them any more.

No one makes their own poppadoms (you just fry ready made ones). Naan are made in a tandoori. The heavy duty flat pans are probably for chapatti 🙂
