- A gorilla plays with a little boy at a zoo in Albuquerque. Very funny and cute. My wife and I were at the zoo and thought we would share this with you guys! Please leave your comments below, and don't forget to SUBSCRIBE and LIKE! Thanks for watching!
i feel like he was tapping back to show them how annoying it was
exactly
1:05 that kid realises it
Hahahaha nice one XD
But he started it

I don’t know why, but this makes me sad.

So interesting and intelligent it hurts understands
@@howiegrossman1546 no. The gorilla looks depressed
I know why

@@antoniogramsci365 Not really I think this child was saying it because of empathy
@@antoniogramsci365 he said it purely because he knew it was the wrong thing to do, he's a child they are very logical
The gorilla knew the kid saw him as an equal. He played with the kid. He didn't tap back to the dad who saw him merely as an animal. We need to get rid of these enclosures.
"GORILLA PLAYS WITH BOY AT ZOO! Funny!"
Everyone watching the video: "Funny. That's sad."
I legit expected harambe footage
No it's not a game it's annoying the fathers tattoos arm annoyed me knocking
Gorilla seemed happy as it probably was thinking “hmmm naked ape wants to play”
He's like, "Everyday I have to entertain these annoying humans...."
It's sad
More likely "those fu%#!ng idiots"...
🤣🤣
Zoo should be illegal
they have almost the same brains as us yet we keep them behind glass 💀
Damn that gorilla looks so depressed the way he’s just sitting there against the wall, he’s tapping like that cause that’s all he ever sees, is people tapping on the window. He’s doing it ironically to the people. And the dad doesn’t get it and keeps tapping on the window.. come on man even your child realized
bro i was thinking the same thing like it’s so sad bc the only reason he’s tapping on the window is bc that’s what he’s learned from humans cause everyone just be tapping on that glass
he’s definitely over it but knows his place is at a zoo and has accepted his role as window tapping
I would be depressed in his situation, imprisoned and without hope while being degraded from majestic jungle king to window tapper. Unfortunately it´s probably the safest place for him to be to avoid poaching. My mother always used to say that it´s better to experience freedom for a day than to live trapped forever, how would she know?
@@Seeckay he is definitely being ironic, look at the way he taps at 00:59
@@Seeckay okay bro
I can't help but feel so sorry for them - surely they must know they're only there to be ogled at, trapped behind a glass wall. They are such intelligent beings
I agree they should be allowed to be free in their natural habitat not entertainment for humans. The last time I was at our zoo it was just a sad experience for me. Anna In Ohio
I definitely agree with you 💯.
When i was a kid i loved zoos, because i love animals. Now i hate zoos because i love animals.
Do you realize that most zoos save animals that were in captivity? Like these animals cant return to the wild they would die. Its the best option to replicate their habitat like that, it sucks I hate looking at them locked up but with most of them its the only option
well then you are a dumbass now that you have grown-up because most zoos provide a net positive to the world. They take care of animals that can't survive in the wild and educate people on the natural world and hopefully makes them more aware that we shouldn't destroy the planet. If zoos were banned most of the animals there would have to be put down because they can't be reinserted in nature.
What actually sucks and should be banned is those aqua shows where they train inteligent animals like dolphins to do tricks and purposefully take animals out of nature to train them and sell tickets. But there's a huge difference between a wildlife zoo and that.
@@massivelegend3339 straight bullshit bro, but if you want to belive that bullshit, live on with your bullshit :D but its straight bullshit. Zoos are commercial and they want to make profit so fatass us-americans can lick their ice creams and watch them rot behind some glass. And when some kid climbs in the gorilla terretory they'll shoot the gorilla. Zoos should be forbidden. There is places where they really save animals and release them or keep them. But they are nothing like zoos and depend on donations.
@@windows95_de man you know nothing about zoos as your probably someone who looked at a ape and forgot how they’re not human and can’t show a good expression through face and many zoos release animals. And harambae could of killed the child also why only mention Americans when zoos are worldwide.
@@Zepellin You dont see the fact that if there was no zoo, the kid and the gorillla would never be in that situation? I mention americans, because they're one of the best example how turbo capitalism destroys our world and the animals who live in it. Research animal sanctuaries. If you truly belive that the zoos worldwide are there to save animals, then you should do some research and watch the animal behaviours inside those zoos. ESPECIALLY on apes you can see how depressed they are living in captivity. But you also see it with elephants, bears, all type of animals. They are in a prison and get stared at by humans. If you love animals, you should pay better attention to that.
Such smart creatures should have much more educational objects to use on daily basis than just rocks and a swing

man, i got this impression instantly lol
The kid had the right idea. Knew it was wrong to tap. But the parents thought it was a game. Come on guys. They’re such intelligent creatures and they’re being kept in this prison. It’s like he was tapping back ironically. You could see the emotions on his face. So sad. I wish I could do something about but I just...can’t. Makes me feel really helpless that I can’t go there and take him to his home with all his friends.
The moment when the smartest family member is the little kid.
Nothing more annoying then people tapping windows. Especially when it comes to fish tanks
Are you a fish ?
"Dad, don't tap that window!" That boy has more sense than his parents.
Nothing wrong with giving the glass a little tap. Didn’t do any harm. In the end it gave us the chance to see this incredibly intelligent reaction from the gorilla. You can see how smart he is by the look in his eyes. Almost like he’s bored, and slightly annoyed.
@@CapREX77 dumb fuck, there is everything wrong with tapping the glass. The gorilla is annoyed because that idiot is tapping the glass. It creates a louder sound for the animals inside the enclosure and they have nowhere to go so it irritates them. It's bullshit to tap on glass at a zoo, and if you do it you're a brainless moron who has no business being at a zoo in the first place.
@@tomj8337 Ignore him, he is a lil pussyhole chatting shit.
THOTH If the gorilla was irritated the Gorilla wouldn’t be tapping back. It wouldn’t have just been sitting there. Just like if a human is annoyed they don’t play along and sit there. They leave

Yes it’s an unnatural existence for these great apes, but on the other hand they’re so well looked after, fed, watered - entertained even - but most of all they are safe from poachers and other villains who would do them harm, further , if they were unhappy then they would show it!

when he sat in the corner he was trying to tell this boy "be glad your outside buddy" this is the vibe its giving me

Davy Ker ikr it was so cool
TheSparkyWriter ha I didn’t notice that
Yeah, like "Alright then , I'll knock too if u want"
We're really not that much different at all. In fact, they are smarter than we are in some situations. The word person does not just apply to a human. It also applies to persons of the forest.... The gorillas.
I think the Gorilla really liked the small boy and was actually playing with him. He was even looking for the boy after they left.
Exactly! The gorilla moved near the glass and tapped on it to get the little boy's attention. When the man kept knocking on the glass, the gorilla became annoyed. He ignored the man, and then tapped again when he thought the man was gone. The boy seemed like he wanted to interact with the gorilla, too, but the man kept interfering.
I totally agree JJay...really cute interactions too!!
"dad dont tap that window" ...dad-"why not?" its like role reversal lol
He is so bored! With all that strength and intelligence and nothing to do but tap on a window?? Cruel. 😟
Gorillas are in large areas built to match their habitat. Poachers also like to drive species to instiction. Its just much safer for them nowadays.
@Citizenthirteen thats nothing like that at all..... There are 8 billion humans and murder rarely happens. (In cities individually)
Rhinos for example are currently being pushed towards extinction for there horns. Its better to put build a safe sancturary for them, let them breed and become for populas.
Also you have to pretty ignorant to think that people cant match there habitat. If people like you were in control, i bet rhinos and other mammals would burn out.
@@maiqtheliar5622 you can protect species without parading then in front of people like this. This gorilla obviously knows that he's nothing more than a trophy.
Ultimately these beings not dwelling in the mist shrouded mountains of the Congo is an indictment against Humanity.

@@majikss Like the rhinos that he was talking about, it just doesn't work.
There are reservations for these species, but poachers find a way in.
There are habitats for them, but they're very expensive to maintain. It's sad, but this could actually be the safest place for them.

I dunno, I've always felt kinda bad seeing certain animals at the zoo. I mean, if it's something like a reptile or whatever, they pretty much just spend their time eating or lying around anyway and they don't really seem to give a fuck as long as they're fed. But with animals like apes or big cats, for example, I get the impression that captivity bothers them. They never seem happy or content, just depressed or agitated. I remember seeing a tiger at the zoo and it just seemed like a shame. A majestic, powerful apex predator, a natural killer, reduced to eating ground beef and getting gawked at by tourists. It just felt... wrong... to me.
Mind you, I'm not some hippy or animal rights extremist. I'm just saying, with some of those animals, I find it depressing to see them like that.
There will a come a day soon when the majority of rare animals will be in Zoos, because people that live in the 3rd world countries they call home are uneducated idiots that don't understand (or care about) the word "extinct". What's sad is the part where these animals are poached daily, but people in 1st world countries are worried about their "feeling" because they see an animal like this at a zoo. "Out of sight, out of mind." Very 1st world of you.
No, if you WERE a hippy or animal rights extremist, you'd understand why those gorillaz were caged and would care why. But, like most 1st worlders, you're only concerned about what immediately affects you and your "senses", what you see and hear and how it makes YOU feel. "I dunno" is exactly right. Ignorance in this area is astounding.
Mikesaniceguy So how many wolves and bears are left in first world countries? Must be quite a lot. After all 1st worlders are not as uneducated and stupid as 3rd worlders. Ignorance in this area is indeed astounding.
Mikesaniceguy
who do you think buys the products resulting from animal poaching? The poachers friends and family?
And when orang-utans lose their habitat because their homes are torn down to be used as construction materials, who do you think buys those materials?
And who do you think buy all the industrial products that are causing mass pollution in places like China and India?
There may come a time when the majority of rare animals will be in Zoos. But it will not be due to the desperation of poverty-stricken people in the third world.
It will be due to the immense stupidity of people in the first world, completely unaware of the true cost of their cheap construction materials and badger fur shaving brush. Oblivious to the fact that cheap products in the first world mean low wages in the third.
The comfort with which we live is the reason others cannot afford an education.
Like you said, ignorance in this area is astounding.
Hannibal Barkas Totally agree! So called first worlders can be as ignorant and foolish as 3rd world countries!
MrClickity I agree, but some (if not most) zoo's spend a lot of time education and just having fun with all the monkeys they have. That's a bit harder to do with big cats, so it's not as usual. But it does happen.

What most of you are missing is that, he's only interested in the kid. The first knock was for the kid. He's clearly done with grown humans as he deals with them all the time. He has a soft spot for kids and can probably tell the kid belongs to them. Notice when the kid knocks the 2nd time, He checks... Sees the kid, looks up at the adults as if he's figured it out. Returns the knock. When the adult does it he's like ugh... fine I'll return it. Also explains why he looks for the kid when he leaves and goes on staring into his cage. Passive aggressively ignores the adults.

It's amazing to see how intelligent many animals actually are. There is truly something otherworldly when you see an animal behave so similar to humans and have human-like mannerisms.
That zoo needs some serious renovations if the animals are that bored.

Then it's understandable that they try to preserve them in Zoos. But an animal this intelligent being left in such a small area is just cruel. We can do better than this.... And they deserve better.
Jason Marcus even with bigger enclosures it will be nothing compared to being free and in the wild, home with their families. Zoos are indeed terrible and were built just for money.
Cherry berry Also, it was built to protect those endangered animals.
A Toe I have been at the Bronx zoo. Do you even know how small the cages are for the birds of prey? They have no room to fly, all they do it sit. What about the snakes, and other reptiles? They’re also stuck in small cages. I saw a hyena in a small enclosure, and it was just a walking back and forth, back and forth, wanna know why? Because it was depressed and couldn’t take it mentally any more. A few years later I saw the hyena doing the exact same thing. Enclosures are nothing compared to freedom. It’s just not the same, trust me I know what I’m talking about.
