I got this watch about a year ago because it had self sufficient qualities - tough solar, atomic radio calibration, titanium material able to withstand 4000 degrees of heat. I place it by a window that get outside diffuse sunlight and it is always high charged, I use it to calibrate and synchronize all the clocks and watches. So far it is one of the best watches I have ever owned.
Hard to get solar + radio sync + titanium without being at the Lineage price point. Citizen, Seiko, and Casio Oceanus do have a few watches with all 3, but they are quite a bit more expensive. The Citizen Satellite Wave GPS and the Seiko GPS Solar Astron seem really interesting, especially the Astron SSJ003.
@@kevw425 I think that is why I gravitated toward the Casio Lineage, it had a reasonable price- but it was a JDM order (Japanese Domestic Market) and they really didn't sell that watch in the USA.
@@mybrainlikesthings a trick that I learned with Casio atomic watches, the internal antenna is the length between the 9 and 3 digits on the watch face- if you can place an antenna or any 20-24 inch metal rod and hang your watch in the middle of it, you will receive better reception to the time signal.
@@mybrainlikesthings I have this and the Gshock 5610 with Multiband 6. I am about 1,000 miles from Denver. I put my watches at a window facing Denver, south east for me, south west direction for you. Weather definitely affects it. When weather is bad, it usually syncs at night, when the weather is good, you can sync in the afternoon too. Just a couple of occasions, the GShock would show synced in the morning and this watch not. I wonder if the titanium case actually makes it a little harder to receive the radio signal.
Have had this watch (except with numerals) for several years and it's as close to a perfect watch I've ever owned or seen. Outstanding set of features at an affordable price. Probably the best value watch that exists.
I own several watches and this is my only quartz in the collection. Since I own this one, I don't wear the automatics. This watch have everything I want in a watch!
Only wish is that it had a smooth sweep second hand like on the Bulova Precisionist quartz watches!

Another beautiful and very good Casio watch and not expensive at all, considering its features, quality and compared to other manufacturers like Citizen or Seiko. Certainly worth attention.
Tons of features, well made, reasonably priced, also not a huge watch that fits most wrist!

Depending on the light and angle, the dark grey sunburst dial does have a cool shimmer
These are my favorite watches of all time and I got some expensive watches. The price point is good anybody can afford one their practical and look good, Multiband 6, solar, easy to use, lots of features, saphire crystal . I have a couple titanium versions and love them .

Got the same but on the silicone strap. It's more comfortable.
Does Casio make one or a 3rd party strap?

Hi do you know if it works fine in South America with radio controller ?
According to the manual there are 2 stations in Japan, 1 in China, 2 in Europe, and 1 in the US in Colorado that has reach of 600 - 2,000 miles depending on conditions. The watch will attempt to auto sync on the right radio frequency if you set the home city to LON, PAR, ATH, HKG, TYO, HNL, ANC, LAX, DEN, CHI, or NYC.
There are apps you can download onto your phone which will replicate the radio signal no matter where you are!

Yes, there is an hourly signal you can turn on / off.
