Aliens can be reborn into a humanly, heavenly, or hellish realm depending on their kamma. These are very broad categories -- there are some humans who behave like animals and some animals that are more civilized than some humans, so why not aliens that possess human-like, animal-like, or heavenly characteristics?
population is not shrinking, there are beings.. being born in countless forms that we can and cannot see, animals insects gods, humans, etc and dying as well, same re runs til they get enlightnened
If Buddhists were in charge how would they deal with criminals? Idk just a question that came into my head. Always talking about the people in prison that he sees would he put them in prison? Would that be kind or how else would they be dealt with? Hm
Caroline Robinson It is not the responsibility of monastics to make social policy and so the way a Buddhist society deals with criminals, although it may be influenced by the teachings of the Buddha, would be largely a reflection of who leads that country. The Buddha taught in a few suttas that someone should realize their transgressions and resolve to not repeat them. If someone continually is making the same transgressions, harming others and so forth, then the Buddha views that person as not being worthy of admonishment, see the simile of the horse trainer linked below. www.accesstoinsight.org/tipitaka/an/an04/an04.111.than.html
If they are truly in line with Buddhism, prisons would be more focused on reform and forgiveness, if there was a true Buddhist society there would be much less crime, possibly not needing prisons.
depends on what types of aliens they're. they can be "human" aliens, "animal" aliens... and i bet they'd have ghost aliens, and god aliens as well. and the probability that they exist is higher than that of reincarnation itself
To all who are reading this, Wishing you happiness, peace and safety. Thank you Ajahn Brahm - Sadhu Sadhu Sadhu

For some reason these talks are no longer being updated on itunes. The last one I can access is Putting Ideals to Work 12/2/2013.
Question. If aliens exist where do they fit in to the Buddhist reincarnation system?
I think what he meant was that one does not have to pay for this kind of advice, when its available for free!! :P

Did he just say shit at 20:00?!
Reincarnation is not a Buddhist concept, it is Hindu.
all due respect , but just cant agree that islam is a religion of peace, it is not, many vivid examples , we must use our discriminating wisdom,
Most of them will fit in the back, large ones in front.
