Actually, what you say is very much a part of right speech, as clearly explained in the Abhaya Sutta.

AB ALWAYS makes me feel better!,,, funny though cause he sometimes has said of popular books such as law of attraction 'secret','power' etc.. don't listen to that - rubbish!.. but its exactly what he is talking about... positivity and effects on health, mind/body interaction....anyway, NOT a criticismAB!..(don't want to falll into that trap either..) just gave me a smile!! HO HO HO.

Question. If aliens exist where do they fit in to the Buddhist reincarnation system?

Aliens can be reborn into a humanly, heavenly, or hellish realm depending on their kamma. These are very broad categories -- there are some humans who behave like animals and some animals that are more civilized than some humans, so why not aliens that possess human-like, animal-like, or heavenly characteristics?

If Buddhists were in charge how would they deal with criminals? Idk just a question that came into my head. Always talking about the people in prison that he sees would he put them in prison? Would that be kind or how else would they be dealt with? Hm

Caroline Robinson It is not the responsibility of monastics to make social policy and so the way a Buddhist society deals with criminals, although it may be influenced by the teachings of the Buddha, would be largely a reflection of who leads that country. The Buddha taught in a few suttas that someone should realize their transgressions and resolve to not repeat them. If someone continually is making the same transgressions, harming others and so forth, then the Buddha views that person as not being worthy of admonishment, see the simile of the horse trainer linked below.

If they are truly in line with Buddhism, prisons would be more focused on reform and forgiveness, if there was a true Buddhist society there would be much less crime, possibly not needing prisons.

depends on what types of aliens they're. they can be "human" aliens, "animal" aliens... and i bet they'd have ghost aliens, and god aliens as well. and the probability that they exist is higher than that of reincarnation itself
