the valve you switched at 4:40 is the Isolation valve. you only need to move this to emergency position in the event of broken pipe or leakages in one of the pipe going to the cylinders. otherwise if the emergency steering is due to unresponsive steering from the bridge and the steering gear has no mechanical problem you may skip this move. you may have a slow movement of rudder as you isolated 2 cylinder. with this valve engaged in emergency position only 1 cylinder is pushing the tiller.
He was screwing in a button around 4.36, What is that button called, sir? And it’s function plz.
@@lwinmoeaung887 it is called Unloading Device.. this must be pressed in emergency steering
.this is usually solenoid activated but if you will be performing local steering you need to manually activate it.. im not 100% sure of its purpose but from what i understand it will allow you to operate the steering gear from a local control knob.
