He also has to check if the door is hot or not. If it is too hot, there will be a tendency of reignition and that fire has spread out looking for outlets to escape.

The guy that's thinking and calm should run things in an emergency. Follow this and you could get promoted. Not a joke I'm a hero for taking over today. Can't guarantee that but worked for me. But there's so many variables to maritime fires engine control room fire's to hazardous oil or LPG gas tankers vessel...
