Cherish a woman that will fly with you. My wife of 41 years passed away at the end of October. She wasn't a rated pilot but loved to fly and travel, was a meticulous pre-flighter ("If I'm going to fly in this thing, I want to be right!"), and was a great copilot. Live the dream...
So sorry for your loss Larry. I too lost my wife of 41 years at the end of July. I’m not a pilot but I’ve been an aviation buff all my life and have flown with several private pilot friends. I have way more time as a passenger in helicopters with a former employer. My wife wasn’t really interested in aviation but would willingly go to air shows because I was. She even planned a weekend getaway once that included an airshow. Sounds like you had one of the best. Hope you are able to continue your flying. I’m sure your copilot will still be there watching over you. May God Bless!
As a pilot for 61 years and a Flight Instructor since December, 1966, I still tilt my head skyward to see what's flying over. No longer medically qualified, so I view many aviation videos to satisfy my taste for the sky. 8,500 hours of safe flying in helicopters and airplanes and the earth by air is beautiful and priceless. I remember the first time I saw a USAF KB-50 refueling a B-36! Aviation has come a verrrrry long way!
Chuck Yeager used to fly an ultralight when he just wanted to have fun. If you are still confident in skill and ability, you can go with fixed wing UL. If not so sure about 50 knots plus, a Powered Parachute flies 25KIAS and is still a blast.

I can’t say I really enjoyed my GA flying days. I went to an accelerated part 141 flight school and went from 0 hrs to CFII in about a year. The fire hose treatment. It did the job but all my memories were cramming for check rides, students trying to kill me and lack of sleep. Didn’t have time to sit back and enjoy it. Instructed through about 2k hours through the 2009 recession until the airlines started hiring again, was excited to get out and never really looked back. One being DVT-SEZ maybe 15 years ago and I still remember how scenic it was, probably one of the only GA flights I can still remember in detail. Point is the production level of a vid like this makes it almost seem enjoyable. Maybe down the road I’ll get into it as a hobby! I’ve always wanted to get my seaplane rating. Hey you pigeons - dear Josh and Chelsea! I noticed that at least one of your cameras is recording a shaky video image. If this observation is of any importance to you, you can check if the WRITE SPEED of the memory card is too low. For example, from 6:16 a landscape shot from the side window on the Chelsea side was visible. The jerky effect of the picture gets worse, the more moving details there are in the picture, and the faster the movement. If you have filmed the material in 4K or 8K format, the jerking can disappear by reducing the recording resolution. But otherwise, you can ask an expert to recommend you a memory card whose writing speed is certainly sufficient for the moving image of the format you are using. The surest way to find out is to go to a photography shop and show them the camera and its memory card and possibly this video so their expert can get the whole picture.

I am a german Pilot and had an unforgettable flight to Sedona 4 years ago. We stood at the Skyranch, experiencing a colourful sundowner on their patio. Sedona is for sure on a lot of bucket lists.
Really enjoy your professional interaction. Keep up the great work. You two have many more years of adventures together!!! Blessings for safe flights ahead!!!!
I envy the two of you. I earned my single engine recip in 77' at 17, learned in a 172 but migrated to a 412 Rockwell Aero-Commander which we owned. My best friend growing up in MA. went to Embry Riddle and taught me to fly when we were kids. I have traveled extensively both commercially and private jet after he was killed in a crash off of Andros Island in the Bahama's in 1980 but I let my license lapse and have not flown by myself since. We used to fly everywhere in that plane, it was a date magnet. I remember going to Wendy's on Cape Cod just because it was the only Wendy's in the state at the time. I really miss moving myself being pulled thru the air! Josh, marry the girl already, she's a diamond in the rough!
Sedona and Red Rocks is beautiful. Wife and I rented a Harley in Flagstaff and rode up through there, around the Grand Canyon and back to Phoenix. Would love to fly it one day.
So Awesome! My son and rented a 172 and flew from Marana (AVQ) to SEZ and had dinner in September after he finished AF training at Davis-Monthan. Dinner at The Mesa Grill was awesome! Such a cool trip, and to get to spend it with my 19 year old private pilot was priceless.
I’ve only been to IGM once, dropping off a Comair CRJ headed for the boneyard. Looks like she’s still there at 17:30. I’d love to get out west to do some GA flying.
The way she looks at you is something very special. Its hard to find that kind of kindred spirit but I believe you two are indeed great together. This is one cool scenic video topped off with one beautiful young lady at the controls! Loved it! Keep them coming you two!
Hi Josh & Chelsea. My name is Jan Greenberg & we met last year at Oshkosh during the Flight Outfitters event. I wish I knew you guys were in Kingman. I fly out of Henderson, NV (KHND) & fly to Kingman for a great breakfast at the cafe on the field. Hope to see you at AirVenture 2022! Blue Skies!
I first flew into Sedona around 1985 and first thought was this is like landing on an anchored aircraft carrier. Home base was Falcon Field, Mesa AZ. Great video of your flight to Sedona.
Always good to land a little long there due to wind shear. I wad there when a Debonaire hit a downdraft. 3 people died. Also density altitude in the summer. A 172 becomes a 2 place airplane if you fill up with fuel. Great place. Not for beginners.
Yes, yes, yes. Steep approach and land on the aim marks. There have been several accidents there because of downdrafts off the "USS Sedona." Lean for takeoff, too. one of my favorite places. Tri-Pacer and Mooney based at E95 (Benson, AZ).
Thanks Josh and Chelsea...Sedona looks a special place. We stopped in for breakfast at Mr D'z Route 66 Diner in Kingman on our way to the Grand Canyon from Vegas. The breakfast and service was that good we called in again for breakfast the next morning and they pointed us through Oatman enroute to San Simeon heading up to the Big Sur. Best wishes from Brisbane, Australia.
That is so cool, sweet memories :) We rented a place 4 blocks from Mr.D's on route 66 in the historic district for our 6 months stay here, it have been so wonderful to walk around at sunset every evening and enjoy the area. We have taken a few day trips to Oatman, it was FANTASTIC!!!! Cheer!
A handful of decades ago, I was helping an old man Pete Michelbach- who ran cattle in the area of the Sedona Airport. Every once in a while we would have to go up and get the cattle off the runway
LOVE SEDONA!! I’m sure you did it, but thought it would be a good training moment for everyone to lean the mixture to the best power (highest RPM) during the run up at those high altitude airports.
I live in Tucson and would love to get some training on how to properly lean for take off, as well as the relatively new to me "lean of peak" method for cruise. Any recommendations? A few months ago, I took a CFII friend up for a flight, and much to my surprise, he pushed my mixture control to full rich on take off! It was 90 degrees that day. I always lean just slight when it's really hot. Is that good or not? We had a good discussing about it afterwords. Personally, I don't like ANYONE touching the power controls on take off.
Okay, I’m now subscribed! Josh and Chelsea, it was nice to have you both attend my friends celebration of his life. Cool that others there recognized you both. Enjoy your upcoming excursions to the Bahamas! Captain Dave
We make it a point to stop for the night in Sedona on the way to KLAS from KTRL such a great town and beautiful surroundings. We will be coming in Thursday for Vegas and a little Ron White

Fantastic video!!! Thank you for all you do for the aviation community. I’ve been following your channel for a few years now and you have never disappointed. In fact, you were instrumental in getting me back in the air after a 13 year hiatus. Now you’re inspiring me to take longer trips. Watching how you two interact with each other as you explore everything aviation has to offer is truly heartwarming. Keep up the great work and once again, Thank You!!!
I'm Josh. My late wife and I (sometimes with a couple of friends) would fly to SEZ, LAS, FLG, and many others from DVT and CHD, 5-6 x/month on Sat/Sun for breakfast from '91 - '07 as part of my air taxi business. After she passed, I stopped flying and my passion left with her. We didn't have YT most of then, all we had were traditional cameras or 8mm handhelds. Sure do wish YT would have been around then. I could have captured the moments and kept them for many years later. Funny, how there's nothing new anymore - except GPS, LOL! Just mainly a circle of time and events. thanks for sharing!
I didn't realize until recently you guys are now based in Kingman for a while. My wife and I own a Cherokee 160 across the way at Sun Valley Airport, A20. We have done Sedona and Grand Canyon multiple times together. One of these days we should meet up and fly somewhere double date style. 😊
I have been lucky enough to visit AZ from the UK twice yearly since starting to work with America West Airlines in 1988. Staying in Scottsdale until I bought my first house close by KDVT and then the second at Desert Ridge, one of my first flights was KSDL-KSEZ. I fell in love with Sedona and named one of my dogs after the incredible place. I have also bought quite a few paintings and ceramics at the incredible Exposures Gallery of Fine Art so as I stare out at the rain back in the UK, I have my own bit of AZ to make me feel better. Will be back again in October. In the words of Monty Python; “you lucky lucky b--ds”.
Hi Guys Great video and great team work. Chelsea needs to do a video series on getting her tailwheel endorsement and then a trip to Oshkosh in a cub. Big demand for TH-cam tail wheel videos especially since Kevin Quinn blew up the Flying Cowboys.
First time to your channel and LOVE it. Having been to Sedona, loved seeing the airport from high above. You both are such a cute couple and I'll look forward to more episodes. My BEST to you both.
Sedona has some of the prettiest light for photography ... next visit - try a rental car, and take a drive to the canyons - there are some beautiful places to explore!
Looking for an easy canyon hike? I recommend a hike up Soldier's Pass to the seven sacred pools. Sublime. If feeling energetic, continue all the way up to the top of Brin's Mesa, great view back down the canyon from up there.
I take my students there from Nogales occasionally. I've probably been into KSEZ 8 or 10 times but I've only landed on runway 3 one time. The Pecan Blueberry Pancakes are great at the restaurant. We usually depart for WInslow and do a circle around Meteor Crater on the way. Then a touch and go at Winslow and back to Nogales.
Manorfat growing up in Phoenix in the early 80s on my first plane rides was a flight in assessment 206 from Phoenix at Harbor to Sedona Arizona. My dance business partner on the plane and had a cabin in Sedona. We spent many summer days in Sedona swimming in Oak Creek and flying into Sedona and back to Phoenix in that 206. That’s actually what peaked my interest in flying. My dad‘s business partner let me fly the plane partway to Sedona one time. I was only 12 years old. Lots of great memories

Really makes me miss flying with my dad around Arizona some of the most beautiful land to fly over we flew to everywhere you possibly could in Arizona and my mother actually went with him a lot more than I even did Great memories It's really great to see it again even though it's on TV screen it's funny how you're up there when you're flying and everything seems kind of slow motion as you're watching the scenery go by and Sedona From the sky nothing beats it Happy flying To the both of you Thanks for sparking some great memories
That whole part of the US is a photographer's dream, even at night. You can see the Milky Way from horizon to horizon. Thanks for a great video.
Sedona and Red Rocks is beautiful. Wife and I rented a Harley in Flagstaff and rode up through there, around the Grand Canyon and back to Phoenix. Would love to fly it one day.
You’re not kidding, that’s some gorgeous scenery. And the view of the country side isn’t bad either! Lol
You have a keeper. She looks at you the same way I look at my morning cup of coffee. Don't screw it up! 😂
Love this 🙌 haha so true
I was thinking about the same…
There's nothing to screw up when it's been slated from the heavens...
I cannot...stop...laughing
Well said… lock it down sir…it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure it out …..
follow your all the time love to see all the places your going to from south africa
Thanks for the shout out! You guys were awesome to fly with. Let’s do it again soon!
Are you headed to SNF this week?
@@Highmaintenance_chels Absolutely! We will have a booth in the Warbirds section.
Blue Skies!
the way she looks at you…. You two are so cute
Cheer!
As always, thanks for sharing, Josh. You are a masterful aviation video storyteller. Sedona / Canyon Country never gets old.
I Suggest that you watch Martin Pauly Lean of Peak on TH-cam. Great stuff!
Okay, I’m now subscribed! Josh and Chelsea, it was nice to have you both attend my friends celebration of his life. Cool that others there recognized you both. Enjoy your upcoming excursions to the Bahamas! Captain Dave
As always, a top shelf production.
We make it a point to stop for the night in Sedona on the way to KLAS from KTRL such a great town and beautiful surroundings. We will be coming in Thursday for Vegas and a little Ron White
Thanks for taking us along for the flight! Great to watch!
Haven't seen a video of yours in awhile. Came back to some couple love. Super happy for you. She is a great compliment for the channel and obviously you.
I like the restaurant at the Sedona airport. Been there several times in my brothers 172.
bro i have never seen one of your videos before, this is the first time for me. i have only just seen the intro and bro..i subscribed istantly.. this is just too good
So Beautiful!!! Thanks for taking us along!
Great video Josh and Chelsea. There are a number of us who are able to "live vicariously" through your adventures. Seeing the country from the air as you get to do, it's a real treat. You make a fantastic couple and thanks for sharing your adventures.
Thank you for sharing that, it is so rewarding to hear that people enjoy the post production of these experiences. We are incredibly lucky to capture these adventures, then Josh spends A LOT of time in post production to retell the story cinematically. Thanks for your kind words and for tagging along, we'll see you in the next one friend!
@@Highmaintenance_chels you be faithful to your man and dont be looking at other dudes
Fantastic video!!!
Thank you for all you do for the aviation community. I’ve been following your channel for a few years now and you have never disappointed. In fact, you were instrumental in getting me back in the air after a 13 year hiatus. Now you’re inspiring me to take longer trips. I’m based in the southeast and have added Sedona and the rest of the southwest to my bucket list. You and Chelsea make a great team.
A joy to watch you two enjoy. The way Chelsea looks at you should be cherished.
Exactly what I thought. when a woman looks at yuo like that it is true love.
Spent my entire life trying to achieve the lifestyle and the copilot that you have. Wow, how fortunate you are. Good films too.
Fabulous video. It’s lovely to see the way you guys are growing together while producing some amazing entertainment for us. Thanks so much.
I live near Sedona I'm fortunate to have this view everyday 😍, the positive energy of Sedona Valley is amazing.
I love your channel and the adventures and happiness you experience together wishing you a great life.
You two are actually very adorable together in both directions. I see you the same as I saw my wife of 30 years, 31 years ago.
I’m definitely adding the airport to my bucket list
Fly there now on Microsoft flight sim. My home airport.
Looks like you two are living the dream! Take care of each other. I don’t think I ever seen a more beautiful couple. Fair Skies and Happy Landings!
I didn't realize until recently you guys are now based in Kingman for a while. My wife and I own a Cherokee 160 across the way at Sun Valley Airport, A20. We have done Sedona and Grand Canyon multiple times together. One of these days we should meet up and fly somewhere double date style. 😊
Hello to you and your wife!!!
What a beautiful country we live in , without you some of us would never get to see it! Thanks for what you do!!
Amazing views. Arizona scenery wasn't too bad either.
real original
@@stingweeber6394 Its TH-cam, have you ever seen an original comment on here? It's the same ones repeating on every channel.
Looks amazing from the air.
Great video you two. Look forward to lots more soon?
First time to your channel and LOVE it. Having been to Sedona, loved seeing the airport from high above. You both are such a cute couple and I'll look forward to more episodes. My BEST to you both.
Josh, she is definitely a keeper! Love the channel, keep it up.
I was just at the Mesa grill two days before this dropped! It was my first time in Sedona...what a wonderful place to visit. Great video!
She’s out of most leagues! She’s out of this world!!
Josh And Chelsea Great video I love watching your videos you guys are very good pilots can't wait to see more videos in the future
Thanks for a great trip. I flew into Sedona from Kansas in a new 182 in 2007 on the way to Camarillo California. Absolutely best scenery ever.
These videos are always great. You two rock. Someday I want my license and maybe my wife will fly with me! You two keep it up👊🏽
I take my students there from Nogales occasionally.
We are looking to do a run along route 66 across AZ and land at all of the Airports and strips soon!
Sounds like an awesome adventure! Fly safe
@@Highmaintenance_chels Always allegedly I may get some stick time in 'Sara' The trusty Saratoga!
Liked the video before watching!! Thank you Josh for your inspiration to me :) . Also your editing levels are top league!
LepititePrince in the vision jet when you were on final. He went from a Bristell to a vision jet! Can’t miss his voice
If you ever find someone in life that looks at you the way Chelsea looks at Josh you probably made it 😊
Fully agree. Are they married?
True it’s nice to see, none of our British women look at our men like that 🤷🏻🇬🇧
yep money talks
@@dalemclean5103 u mad bro? couldn't be that they just love each other, right?
@@thatsoslender dude women do not love you they only love what you can do for them.
Love the way that Chelsea looks at you! You're definitely one lucky man! Just found your channel - love it! Stay safe!
Josh, loved the video!! I enjoy living my dreams through your cameras!!! Keep up the great work!! If you ever make it up here to 77S, let me know and I would love to stop by the aerodrome and say howdy!!! 👍👍😎😎
When I began my Flight Simulator hobby on microsoft flight simulator. The first flight was a tutorial flight in Sedona. This brings back the good ol' memories.
Josh, With your plane you have the skies, but with Chelsea....The Heavens.
I'm blushing - very sweet compliment
That is perfectly said. So beautiful. Seems so down and earth and cool. Great couple. Lucky man and lucky woman
that is the dumbest comment ever
What no name said. I've been with the same beautiful girl for nearly 48 years. Trust me, you two have something special that others can only dream of. Cherish it, and each other.
I concur...Josh is an extremely blessed man.
Found your channel not long after contemplating life while sitting on the vortex rocks below you at 6:39. Thought I may have seen y'all since there was a near full moon when I was in the area, but then right after you mentioned your timeframe for having been there. With any luck Northern AZ will have changed my life. Cool to see it from the air, even if vicariously. For now.
Dude, I'm only 15 seconds into the video and I'm already mind-blown! It's been a lil while since I last visited your channel but in just a few seconds, I'm reminded of why you are the #1 Aviation TH-camr of all time, in my opinion. Your vids are incredibly inspirational 👊🏾
Have you ever seen any lights or Ufo's Uap's flying fro. Pheonix ,Az to Sedona,Az alot of sightings around Bell rock have been documented
I just wish my wife enjoyed flying, you two make it so enjoyable.
We landed there on RNWY 21 last month on a Coast 2 Coast Adventure starting from Jacksonville FL to San Carlos CA.
