It never ceases to amaze me how resourceful and resilient these sailors are. To lose the mast and be able to make the boat safe is an amazing skill. I hope Pip makes it to land safely and can look on her achievements with pride.
The very definition of courageous. Anyone can be "chin up" when things are going on along swimmingly. But someone who can take a gut punch like this and stay positive. You can't keep someone like this down. Pip, thank you for sharing. Thank you for inspiring. Thank you.

This is disheartening, she was doing so well, just like four years ago she was getting the best out of her boat. I would so have wished for her to reap a better reward for all the hard work. I hope she gets another chance to prove herself in four years time.
