Map based characters seemed like pawns at first glance, but had such an interesting faction history and personalities to explore via their voicelines. Their eyes reflected the sorrow and misery they endure in battle, others reflected determination and professionalism, but rarely indifference. I loved feeling part of that setting. Modern agents scream for recognition, but there's nothing interesting or noble about them. They're the analogy of poorly written protagonists which the author wants you to like. Yeah, but honestly that doesn't matter as much anymore if you consider that it essentially comes full circle and goes back to "choose your own character" either way. Got pissed off with cs and picked up Tomb Raider remastered in a bit of serendipity. Wonderful change of pace. Valve really doesn’t care, it’s as clear as day. They want kids opening cases and the money that brings. They are close to moral bankruptcy in my opinion.
honestly cases, skins and overall steam as a trading platform has been a downfall for valve in terms of creativity (its a goldmine in terms of finances ofc) they are victims of their own success those 3 things basically generate infinite money for valve so they dont need to make video games because the cash is always going up and up, they dont even make the skins because fans make them for a small cut of the profits
@@lefunnyN1 - On the flip-side, they could have also not invested that money into engineering the Steam Deck, as brilliant of a device as it is (I incidentally sold all of my CS2 items for good just to buy one), but in fact they did, and they've improved on the device significantly as well. When Valve invests money into innovative hardware and software, they stand to win a lot more. I think Valve isn't bothered by off-loading the making of skins to the community because they don't find it to be an innovative process anymore. With current Valve, you are simply not going to see a new game or a piece of tech until it contains something that is incomparable to anything that came before it. Censorship really is a bitch. It strips basically anything of it's charm or personality and makes everything overly generic and safe. Definitely a big reason as to why so many things nowadays feel soulless or bland.
Finally! We've removed the controversial things from a game where you're either a terrorist or a counter terrorist police force, where the terrorists can blow up a nuclear reactor and have hostages.

There you are, playing the PvP in your contemporary shooter, and all of a sudden, you're a terrorist. You didn't ask for this. You didn't choose this. Yet, there it is, and it's treated no different than playing a counter-terrorist.
CS2 unfortunately can't distance itself from the previous title because it replaced it and forced all players to switch to it. Comparisons and criticisms due to missing content from CS:GO will continue for a long time.
Exactly. We were forced into a change with less features and poor performance, with the already existing issues of CSGO exacerbated and they still dont deliver quality content to make up for it even though they make 40 milllion euro each month just from case openings alone.
When the announcer says "Counter terrorist win" I feel offended, it implies the opposite team are terrorist when we don't really know what lead them to where they are 😢

Well... fuck... I honestly think that the only way Valve is going to fix the cheating issue is when cheating in games becomes illegal in a country... which is basically never....
You can be a unique game that shows the gray reality of this world (controvercy is a part of this world), while remaining unique among many. Or get lost among many family friendly games that try to please everyone. The 2nd has been choosed it's path. Fortunatley we stil can play in 1.6.
7:32 saw your little text popping up :D it is a NVG ("night vision google") and it looks so weird because it´s a monocular NVG that only goes over one eye. since actual NVGs are very expensive this is a more budget friendly option compared to the more common binoculor (covering both eyes) it sits so high up because it sits on a "rhino mount" meaning the part that connects the NVG to the helmet. It enables the NVG to flip out of the way when not used. This is nothing crazy or unrealistic but I suppose people rarely see a NVG being flipped up
10:42 >"people ***think*** the game has" ? so philip doesn't think there's a huge cheating problem in counter strike? bit of a shame really - not enough people are talking about it, and the r/globaloffensive mods aren't helping by censoring everything related to the problem

I really miss the Separatists. They were so iconic, especially the "I hate these chickens" line and the beef they had with those birds.

That's... not good.
Sure, hardly have to deal with it myself because my trust factor apparently is high enough, but I also played with a Wall Hacker about 2 weeks ago. He would call all enemy positions throughout the round. We reported him and so did the enemy team, yet his account is still not banned. Valve really doesn’t care, it’s as clear as day. They want kids opening cases and the money that brings. They are close to moral bankruptcy in my opinion.
honestly cases, skins and overall steam as a trading platform has been a downfall for valve in terms of creativity (its a goldmine in terms of finances ofc)
they are victims of their own success those 3 things basically generate infinite money for valve so they dont need to make video games because the cash is always going up and up, they dont even make the skins because fans make them for a small cut of the profits
@@lefunnyN1 - On the flip-side, they could have also not invested that money into engineering the Steam Deck, as brilliant of a device as it is
