- The Bourgeois OM Deep Body Hog Top with Honduran Beeswing Mahogany is a guitar that redefines what acoustic excellence truly means. Combining Bourgeois’ renowned craftsmanship with some of the most sought-after tonewoods and construction techniques, this guitar is a rare gem that will thrill any serious player.
At first glance, the Honduran Beeswing Mahogany top, back, and sides are nothing short of mesmerizing. The shimmering grain pattern of the beeswing mahogany adds a luxurious visual touch that immediately sets this guitar apart from the crowd. It’s more than just beautiful-the mahogany provides a warm, woody tone with a dynamic midrange response that’s perfect for both fingerpicking and strumming. It has a rich character that feels alive in your hands, resonating with a natural, organic voice.
Adding to the magic is the Aged Tone body finish, which not only gives the guitar a vintage aesthetic but also enhances its tonal depth. This proprietary process simulates the sound of a well-played vintage guitar, offering a “broken-in” warmth and responsiveness right out of the box. Paired with Aged Tone Torrefied Adirondack Spruce braces, this guitar has an unmatched clarity, projection, and sustain, giving you the feel of an instrument that’s been played for decades. The animal protein glue construction, a nod to old-world craftsmanship, further enhances the guitar’s resonance, making every note sing with precision and emotion.
The tortoise binding is a subtle yet elegant touch, framing the guitar with an understated beauty that complements the stunning mahogany. It’s these little details that make the Bourgeois OM Deep Body not just a guitar, but a work of art.
Tonally, this guitar is a dream come true. The deep body design provides an extra layer of resonance and bass response, which is particularly noticeable in an OM-sized guitar. You get that familiar OM midrange punch, but with a richness in the lows that elevates the entire tonal spectrum. Whether you’re playing fingerstyle, blues, folk, or singer-songwriter material, this guitar responds with a clarity and sensitivity that draws you in deeper.

Those deep body Bourgeois OMs are goldilocks
Impressive sounding instrument - strong overtones, yet they’re complementary to the fundamental rather than ‘splashy”.
Beautiful tone and playing Matt.
I expected to hear the best and wasn’t disappointed

Great sounding guitar! Wonder what that shape would do with some different tonewoods ((Adirondack, Lutz, European Spruce of some flavor, or Sycamore for a top) and back of (Madagascar Rosewood, or sinker mahogany or walnut or maple). Just a thought...
