It’s easy to get chills whenever you hear the opening chant of Lebo M. In “Circle of Life,” accompanied by the rising sun over the African savanna with brilliant colors overtaking the screen. It’s enchanting!
I love the song “When You Believe” from The Prince of Egypt! Whether it’s the film version or the ending titles version, sung by Whitney and Mariah, that song is simply beautiful.😌
@@bennymora3086 Because people believe that 3D is faster to make and that it makes more money. And also for some reason, people like live action remakes more. (Sigh) The greedy desire for the golden touch.
A lot of these songs from movies deserve to be called uplifting. I also would've like to have included: .Feed the Birds from Mary Poppins (1964) .City of Stars from La La Land (2016) .Can't Stop the Feeling from Trolls (2016) .Try Everything from Zootopia (2016) .What Else Can I Do from Encanto (2016) .When I Fall in Love from Sleepless in Seatle (1993)
This Is Me really hits home for me. Also, I once heard that The Circle of Life was just supposed to be used for the theatrical trailer for the movie but that it was so popular that it was added to the movie.
Survivor's Eye of the Tiger got me though one of the most frightening times of my life. 2011, I nearly died of sepsis in my system that did some damage to my heart, and my kidneys. I was a real mess, and almost died several times in a two day time period. I survived, and ended up in rehab for several weeks. My sister could see that I was struggling to get better, so she brought my mp3 player home, and gave it back to me during her next visit. While listening to the device I discovered that she'd loaded all of my sports themed movie soundtracks, including my Rocky movies. And, when Survivor's Eye of the Tiger started playing, I happened to have been in the therapy room, working with the weight machine. I started working even harder, and that, basically, got me well much faster.
I know that it wasn’t on the main list but I’m glad You’re The Best was mentioned on this list! My sister and I love those movies and that’s probably our favorite song from the series. We always get it stuck in our heads after watching it
When You Believe is a powerful song. It delivers the film's message of hope that miracles and great things can happens when you still hold on to fate, even during the darkest time.
Out of all these uplifting songs in this list Circle of life from the Lion King is my all time favorite song ever time I see the majestic opening scene and hear the haunting lyrics it always makes me cry tears of joy as used to watch it all the time at my late grandma’s house when I was little and it has been a big part of my childhood memories to this day 👍❤️🥲
When you Believe is such a beautiful song and the scene in the movie is also uplifting and whenever I hear it I always get chills and it’s the same with the Mariah and Whitney version ❤️❤️❤️and Circle Of Life and Somewhere Over The Rainbow are very powerful songs as well 😊👍👍❤️❤️

As always "When You Believe" from The Prince Of Egypt has been my most favorite song that uplifted my faith including the beautiful duet by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey.
Get Back Up Again from Trolls really deserves some mention here. I'm 39 years old, but that song got me through some of the hardest moments of my life in the past couple of years.
*MY FAVORITES:* "Let It Go" - Frozen "(I've Had) The Time of My Life" - Dirty Dancing "Circle of Life" - The Lion King "You've Got a Friend in Me" - Toy Story "When You Believe" - The Prince of Egypt "Happy" - Despicable Me 2 "Over the Rainbow" - The Wizard of Oz "This Is Me" - The Greatest Showman "Eye of the Tiger" - Rocky III "Flashdance...What a Feeling" - Flashdance "Footloose" - Footloose "Go the Distance" - Hercules

I had no clue "Eye of the Tiger" was from the Rocky movies because I haven't seen them yet. 😮 Classic. "Time of My Life," "Flashdance...What a Feeling," and "Footloose" are 80s classics! Timeless! Never get old or fail to bring a smile to my fse and make me wanna daaaaaance. 😜 "This is Me" is an energetic anthem, fantastic! "Let It Go" is another one, needless to say.
As an old physically challenged woman who has never ever been in a serious relationship with a guy .....i want the time of my life ( from dirty dancing ) to be played at my funeral
There is a video on TH-cam of a rehearsal session of This Is Me and I encourage everyone to watch this!! You can see, hear and FEEL that there is something happening during this rehearsal that nobody anticipated upfront and it is absolutely AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL AND VERY EMOTIONAL!!! Look it up and let yourself be captured by this incredible moment and this unbelievably powerful, uplifting and simply fantastic SONG!! (Or maybe it should be called ‘battlecry’, for its empowering abilities!! )
Love the soundtrack to the greatest showman! Best soundtrack ever! Love the dirty dancing song too as well as time of our lives. As for Disney movies the lion and frozen had good soundtracks too. Gotta love footloose too.
Why couldn't this list be a top twenty instead? And if I were you guys, I'd include I'm Still Here from the underrated Disney masterpiece that is Treasure Planet.
They probably don't count because they're not songs for the movies per se but honestly the Guardians of the Galaxy awesome mixes are absolute fire! I would love to see a video ranking their use in the films! Come and get your love, hooked on a feeling, the chain, brandy, ain't no mountain high enough, dog days are over, these songs in particular always lift my spirits
As a huge Slmudog Millionaire fan I would have also mentioned the awesome "Jai Ho". Speaking of Oscar-winning Indian songs, "Naatu Naatu" from RRR is amazing as well.

We wouldn’t have The Lion King, if they weren’t for the success of The Little Mermaid. And it was also the first movie I’ve ever seen in general when I was little.

That would make sense
The song “Let It Go” is also turned 10-years-old and millions of ‘Frozen’ fans can’t get enough of it.
I just love to hear Kaitlyn Maher sing "Let It Go", she is the one who was a little girl on AGT years ago. When she sings it then I get goosebumps.
It’s a song I would be willing to come back to only once in a blue moon

Circle of live is forever the best intro of a movie ever made , the beginning already showed the movie would be a masterpiece
Growing up in the 1990s when Disney literally had a hit film every year with a soundtrack, it takes me back real fast when I hear any of those songs.
"Let It Go" and "Circle of Life" are not only two of my favorite Disney movie songs but two of my top favorite songs in general!
I miss the “Let it Go” hype in a way tbh.
“Feed The Birds” is definitely the most uplifting song I ever heard.
Yes, Circle of Life is such an incredible song, which is even better to see live on stage.

When You Believe is a powerful song. It delivers the film's message of hope that miracles and great things can happens when you still hold on to fate, even during the darkest time.
Yes. As Albus Dumbledore says "hope can be found in the darkest of times...if one only remembers to turn on the light."
I would add “Someday” from The Hunchback of Notra Dame. Also like Celtic Women’s version of the song too.
OMG YES!!!! I bawl when I hear this track!
Circle of Life and This is Me are my favorites ❤
'Hold My Hand' - Top Gun: Maverick (2022)
This soaring power ballad is brought to life by Lady Gaga's enchanting vocals!
