So the tip is to cook it in a pan over heat… thanks for that… I was trying to cook it on a bed of dry ice all these years and I couldn’t understand why it wasn’t working
Salmon also raises it's temp by 10-20degrees AFTER it's taken off the heat, so experiment with taking it off the heat at different intervals to see what works best for you. Digital thermometer is king
I use a similar method Cold pan, cold oil, salmon skin side down. Season salt pepper Medium heat 2 - 5 mins Place in top of oven 180, 7 - 10 mins based on how rare you want it salmon cooks from top and bottom from heat of pan. Remember to flip the salmon in the hot pan for last minute off the heat, when removed from oven.
i think cooking the flesh right is more important than crispy skin and dried out flesh so as long as you are liking what you making, das all that matters (:
Cast iron skillets hold in heat incredibly well. He heats the skillet on whatever stove top/burner he has, then brings it over to the table for the camera shot. That wooden plate is essentially a coaster to prevent damage to the table. That "bluetooth heating" is just a joke on this channel. Edit: I guess making jokes instead of actually answering questions gets you noticed these days. He explains it himself in the comment section of one of his videos here: th-cam.com/video/vDvq5Y4YhaQ/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=SenpaiKai
He said medium low, how would that be too hot? I think the albumin leaking meaning it's overcooked is just one of the cooking myths and lot of people believe. It's not necessarily bad that it's leaking its just bad for presentation, and that's what restaurant chefs are trying to avoid.
Does the skin have scales? I know that’s a dumb question but when I’ve gotten it from the grocer it’s had scales on it, and if so, I assume those are safe to eat once cooked?
thats the mistery of this channel :)) but the truth is that it's only good editing.. he preheats the pan and puts it on the coaster and films for 5 seconds the meat frying and then he continues on an actual stove
Senpai can you drop what it is and where can we buy that brown heating device you use for your recipes? I really would love to purchase one:) Salmon looks 🔥
I use TheGoldenBalance’s recipe for salmon in the air fryer all the time, just some mayo, sriracha, and hot honey and cook at 400 for like 10 minutes. Absolutely incredible every time.
Looks good, but the laziest way to cook salmon is, hands down, brush with melted butter + lemon juice and set under the broiler of a toaster oven for 10 minutes. Comes out with a nice baked texture to it. Skin doesn't crisp up, but I don't really like the skin away. I've probably quintupled the amount of salmon I make since I learned I could do it that way.
So I tried to cook salmon today but the skin stuck to the pan and messed the whole dish up :( I used stainless Stella as that’s all I have and heated it up then put oil in.
He heats the pan on the stove and brings it to the table. There’s no secret especially when he’s mainly using cast irons that are renowned for their heat keeping abilities.
@@Visceralx1 come on now bro you think I’m genuinely that dumb? Haha I work in a kitchen I just love reading the comments on how he keeps his pan so hot 😂
Stephen King's nuked salmon is the laziest method of cooking salmon. Wrap salmon in a paper towel and microwave it for 3 minutes. No babysitting and no cleanup
So the tip is to cook it in a pan over heat… thanks for that… I was trying to cook it on a bed of dry ice all these years and I couldn’t understand why it wasn’t working
nice one

He's making it look easy. Look at Lisa Nguyens salmon
@@stevejung6470 hey what is that wooden pad on the table
😂🤣😂🤣 Sarcasm at its finest
He has that Bluetooth stove.
How does that work?
@@ImaginaryCheeeeese It doesn't.
@@ImaginaryCheeeeese the cast iron skillet keeps its heat for a very long time so he can cook it after heating the skillet
Wait, the wood thingy under the pan isn't it electric stove or something?
@@Engiction no lol, its there to prevent the table from heating up
I would actually throw that pan in the oven at 350ish in the oven.
skin side down the whole time, i shall make an update video :D
Do you use olive oil or canola?
Do you wash your chicken?
@@rossei4317 washing your chicken does absolutely nothing, besides contaminate your sink.
Or put on a lid if you feel extra lazy

The senpai makin sure to get some salmon in along with all the lox bagels he's been eatin in NY

That's exactly how I do it. I love cast iron for cooking salmon skin, always comes out so crispy.
You don't need cast iron to get salmon skin crispy.
@@GamingBT I always use a carbon steel pan, it preforms quite well, definitely super crispy as well
Wher do u get the Bluetooth pan

bluetooth stove
bluetooth induction burner
When your cooking is fire you don't need a heat source fucking duh
Too hot, all the albumen is leaching from the salmon. A certain fish focused *** in nyc would have had my ass for that back in the day lol
What's the problem with the albumen leaking?
He said medium low, how would that be too hot? I think the albumin leaking meaning it's overcooked is just one of the cooking myths and lot of people believe. It's not necessarily bad that it's leaking its just bad for presentation, and that's what restaurant chefs are trying to avoid.
Good timing. I’m cooking salmon and zucchini for my pops today 👌
i just chuck it in the air fryer and so far no misses
that sounds super good too :D
How to not cook salmon throughly lol
What are you using to heat your pan
Do you grow any herbs? Or anything like that?
oh yeah brotha. i grow much herbs. i post updates on my IG often
Do you use gas appliances or electric?
It’s something about raw fish besides sushi that I can’t get behind
So is it still raw on the top? Does the top cook with steam?
I do mine like this too but stick it in oven around 375 for a couple of minutes
Easy and simple, just as it should be. What do you recommend to eat with the salmon?
Was that his stove/hot plate??👀 and how come there wasn't any seasoning?
How are you cooking the food on the pan thats not on the stove ?
Do you get that portable stove in ikea?
Wow it’s actually cooked perfectly. I’ve seen so many other TH-cam “cooks” overcook the shit outta there perfect salmon
I like cooking it on the pan also. But I like to flip it on the flesh side and when it gets some crispy bits it comes out sooo good
It it safe to eat medium rare?
Where do you get them plates
The even laziest method
1. Put it in a baking tray
2. Bake
“That’ll be $30!”
Only 30?
Would this same method work in a stainless steel pan? Or non stick? Don't have a cast iron :(
Laziest way he said then finished up with a bouquet.
Does the skin have scales? I know that’s a dumb question but when I’ve gotten it from the grocer it’s had scales on it, and if so, I assume those are safe to eat once cooked?
Hi I'm sure you've probably found your answer elsewher, but fish scales are bad for your gut so scale your fish when you catch or buy it.
is it safe to eat like that? what's the whole thing with the other side staying orange
How do you heat your pan? It doesn't make sence
I'm eating grilled salmon right now. Your salmon looks bomb!
you are a major Chef!❤🎉
How did u cook it without a stove
Is there a lazier version? I couldn’t find browned butter or tarragon flowers at the store and gave up
"Okay sir that's going to be 10 trillion dollars."
What is heat?
Someone's gotta tell me what that thing is that he puts the pan on and how he cooks on it 🤔
so.. overcook the skin and keep it raw on top?
Do you descale it ?
Yes
no color on the top?
Do you flip it?
why do u put flowers on all of ur dishes?????????????????????

You need to press that down for about 30 seconds to get a good crisp
Every time I make salmon, I can get crispy skin, but it loses its crisp, and goes soggy in a few minutes. What am I doing wrong?
Toaster oven.....15 minutes 300 degrees ..way easier...
