I love the Honda element, its a very roomy and comfortable vehicle without being overly complicated. I love the EX model with the All Wheel Drive and the large rear sunroof. I test drove one years ago when it first came out and fell in love with the Element, i also love the reliability and the durability of the element and they are great in the snow with the All Wheel Drive. Hondas are great vehicles, the biggest reason is that Honda doesnt mess with success. When they have a great vehicle and powertrain, they do very subtle changes to it and slowly work in the redesign. I also love the CRV and the Pilot.
I owned a 2005 one for my first car, and have a 2008 one now. (First one got totaled after an accident -__-) But, it's a really good car. Very comfortable for first time drivers, I'd say. The rear doors are obnoxious, how they only open if the door in front of them is open, too. And at time you do feel like you're punching it, but I love my Element. It's reliable, it's safe, overall a chill car.
I love it because I'm always spilling drinks, and it doesn't care how sloppy you are! It's like having a built-in maid! Comfortable seats, and I can get my stand-up bass-fiddle in here!
That cup holder on the ground in the center is ideal for my dog's water cup and long trips. She slops water everywhere. Killed an iPod once when it fell in. At least the seats are waterproof.
I love my element wouldent trade it for anything...helped 3 friends move, its extremely versitile and comfortable...plus in the 5spd its pretty fun to drive. it handles great which is suprising...i went from a 2000 maxima se to this and i must say i love the element more than i did the maxima..will buy another one when i put 200k+ on this one
I personally love the element....but I think Honda designed the element with personality and customization in mind ( like scions).....I have seen some pretty amazing customization with these vehicles with just a couple thousand dollars.
I owned one for about 6 months, paid cash for it and traded it out due to HORRIBLE gas mileage. I drove carefully on acceleration but it just didn't matter when in the city. I got 15 miles in the city and 23 miles on the Highway on a GOOD day. The check engine kept flashing, took it in to the dealer after he made me wait for 2 weeks thinking it was just my gas cape. Never again. But if you like the style and the roominess, yes, go for it.
Actually, Karl Friedrich Benz invented the first true gasoline powered automobile. Before that there was a guy from Scotland who invented an electric automobile and another guy that invented the steam automobile from France. "Knowing is half the battle" -G.I. Joe
lol, I knew someone in high school about seven years ago who bought one of these (or his parents did) and got made fun of to end and ended up trading it in within about a year. I'm looking at a compact SUV and this one's styleing is still too weird for me
@Turkamel those two cars are very dissimilar. i sincerely doubt small, low, dual sliding door, commercially viable (think uk white vans) vehicle was first introduced to the world by the peugot partner(1997) not 100% on this but, like i said i sincerely doubt it as i could think of at least two japanese examples that are decades old. as far as originality, "these days" - i think we're getting close to running out. seriously though, dont you u see a lil of some other in most cars nowadays?
Yea. Let's overlook his voice. His style of clothing. And overall demeanor. The guy is clearly old enough to drive. A lot of people look young these days.
I've driven the Honda Element for 4.5 years now. It's been very reliable and very comfortable as the driver, but this vehicle presents some difficulties. First, it is quite underpowered. I struggle to pass and merge onto the freeway without gunning it. Second, I HATE the rear access doors. If you actually have rear passengers, this design can become VERY frustrating. Also, the car itself just has a very, VERY cheap feeling to it - typical on all Honda's. All in all, it's just an okay vehicle.
FolkRoots Honda is for people who care about reliability than keeping up with the jones I rather a ugly car that gets from point A to B without breaking the fuk down. I rather a car that all my pay cheque does not go to maintain the fuking car like I'm working for the car even if I was bill gates I would hate to take all my money to service some fancy unreliable junk
Comfort is personal . . If you like to slouch, are short and chubby, you nat nit like tge driving position. If you're tall, and like a furm driving psition with few distractions while driving, youll probably like it. SUV is a marketing term designating a trucklike vehicle unlikely to be confused with a sedan. Its been applied to vehicles that 20 years ago would have been called station wagons and full size pickup trucks with passenger compartments grafted in place of the bed. The S in SUV is for sort ir sporty, but the sport does not have to be offroading. An SUV does not need to be AWD, or a rugged offroad vehicle. A vehivke wurh 4wd or AWD is not necessarily an SUV. The vagueness of the term SUV has resulted in subclass qyakifuers. Full size , mid size and compact suvs indicate relative size, not capability. A Ford Expedition, Land Cruiser and Humvee arr not equal in capability . Nor are a Honda Element and a WW2 military Jeep. The Elenent has a more utilitarian looking interior than a Honda CRV or a Ford Escape, but the appearance is deceiving . The materials of the Elenents interior are easier to clean, but no more rugged. He rear cabin is more spacious, but the cargo weight carrying capacity is lower. I would categorize the Element as a Compact Flexible Light Utility Vehic. It's a good substitute for a compact station wagon.
@naekerb i heard..seriously honda is disappointing me more and more with each move they make...the old ones where great now they are geting so tasteless and boring..WTF HONDA
@xvrhernandez349 because you americanes don't know anything about good cars, last time I was in the usa I never saw Opels. Fiats, Citroëns, Renault or even Seats... only boring and big cars like fords, toyotas, hondas or pontiacs...
Huitzilopochtli Calmanani u dont know anything about cars nothing beats Japanese cars ur European unreliable junk should stay in Europe in case u didn't know North America rules the world everyone trying to live like us ur ugly mr bean cars in Europe should stay in Europe

@naekerb IMO it doesnt have the personality the element has and i have drove my dads 03 element and they drive great
I've seen this guy before and was thinking something similar.
i dont see a diffrence with a 08 and a 06 they look the same
dude, did you see the ending...?

Many people are nicknaming the Element ,The Toaster.
@hugeo8 Thats why you review cars and he makes fun of looks on youtube.
@Turkamel those two cars are very dissimilar. i sincerely doubt small, low, dual sliding door, commercially viable (think uk white vans) vehicle was first introduced to the world by the peugot partner(1997)

i have a recurring nightmare where the only things that survived world war three are britney spears, a honda element, and me.
haha yes they are, in video games! xDD

Is he old enough to drive?
Most people who hate this car seem to only do so because it's ugly. It just shows how shallow people can be.
omg lmao that mad me laugh so hard. what an idiot. how did no one catch that and edit it out
everyone? lol I don't know anyone that owns one now
@Turkamel lol t es tombé sur la tête hhahaahahaha...vas me faire un café a la place
Element owners love them for all those reasons and mainly because they are weird. Toasters Away...
@Turkamel why cant people SHUT UP about what it copying!? :)

my name is Kelsie... and im a girl
Americans know enough to have invented the automobile..thanks to Henry Ford.
not legaly
Why don't they bring it to europe. Seems like some twisted Honda logic to me, there certainly is demand. We don't want to buy similar French crap.
