How to make Tom-Kha-Goong (Thai Coconut soup)

- Tom-Kha-Goong (Thai coconut soup) is actually really easy! All the classic flavours that make Thai soup so delicious like coconut milk, lemongrass and prawns in an easy to make (and quick) recipe. Perfect for cold autumn and winter nights!

Ingredients:
- 300gm of prawns
- 300gm of mushrooms
- 2x sticks of lemongrass
- 5x Kaffir lime leaves
- 5x slices of Galangal
- Coriander leaves
- Coriander stem (or root)
- 1x Shallot
- 3-5 Chillis
- 400gm of coconut milk
- 2x tbsp of palm sugar (or normal sugar
- 6x Cherry tomatoes
- 5x tbsp of fish sauce
- 2x glasses of water
- 1 or 2 limes (depending on how sour you'd like it)

00:08 - Ingredients list
00:14 - Boil water
00:20 - Add lemongrass
00:22 - Add coriander (or coriander stems)
00:24 - Add shallots
00:27 - Add galangal
00:31 - Add kaffir lime leaves
00:34 - Boil for 2 minutes (the smell should be nice and fragrant)
00:41 - Add fish sauce
00:46 - Add Palm sugar (or normal sugar)
00:57 - Add mushrooms
01:04 - Leave to boil for 3 minutes
01:08 - Add prawns
01:12 - Boil until prawns are almost cooked
01:17 - Add cherry tomatoes
01:22 - Allow prawns to now cook fully
01:32 - Add coconut milk
01:48 - Allow the soup to reach boiling point then turn off the heat
01:55 - Add in sliced chilli's
01:59 - Taste test your soup!
02:05 - Optional: add extra fish sauce if you want a more salty flavour
02:10 - Add lime juice
02:16 - Add coriander leaves
02:23 - The final product!
