Making my recipes two days in a row I see! Great work 👍🙏 Tom Kha means soup with galangal. For this dish I’d say that galangal cannot be substituted by ginger since the taste is completely different. It’s ok to experiment if you can’t find galangal but since I know you had some galangal challenges the other day I figured I’d give you a heads up! Hi! No, the Thai chili paste and Red curry paste are made using different herbs and process. Try to find Mae Pranom brand chili paste to use with the soup if you want a bit of color. The paste is not needed for the actual taste of this soup so you can go ahead and make it without. When do u add the chili paste?
Hi! Chili paste is optional. If you want to use a little - then add it at the same time that you balance/finish the boiling soup with fish sauce 🙏
