I tell you my story hopefully it'll help I lost my dad from drugs when I was 19 n it destroyed me to the point I started drugs n done a lot to where I've died three different times. I finally quit at 35 and I lost my mind seeing n hearing God made me schizophrenic I was so scared and the voice's was so much I would cry out to God. N nothing I spent 2 yrs in a mental hospital where I found God I finally prayed not for myself but for him. I said to God I can't imagine what you go through n now I hear one voice at a time. Now I'm better n sober for six yrs but I also gained a friend that's god

@@tjbelcher3144 Brit Turner passed away at age 57 on March 3rd after a battle with brain cancer. Turner was diagnosed with glioblastoma in 2022.
He isn't a member of BlackBerry smoke

This was my intro to Blackberry Smoke, 2014 or 2015 as i recall. Been a big fan ever since. Whipporrwill was the last new music i shared with my son, before he was taken from us. This song's meaning forever changed for me that day. i sent an email to the fan web site, and Britt Turner answered me, showed me grace and comfort. God Bless Britt Turner. Hi will be missed.....

My fall from grace was a sight to see. 42 days ago I overdosed and was left for dead. Woke up on life support. I'm also 42 days clean....there ain't much left of me, but I'm getting there. My theme song!!! Love this song & love this band!!!!
Jammie Jordan you can do take it from Somebody that has had 6 Months clean and relapsed, then 16 months clean and relapsed, and Now I have 26 months just a few days ago! Then Right at 5 Months Ago My Wife & I had a Son the was only 4 Months old and whom passed away from S.I.D.S (sudden infant death syndrome) aka Crib Death)) and Everyone was Verbally afraid that I would relapse and use again. I even had ppl saying Nobody would blame you if you used again etc etc etc! However I DID NOT USE AGAIN! I said that I would Not Let His Death be in Vain, but Rather Use it for Motivation To Continue to Stay Clean! Take is One Day at a Time set Short Term Goals like 2 Months and then 6 Months and Maybe 9 & then a Year and each time celebrate it because that's 1 more Day, Hour, Minute, Second that your not using! Just know it will take People a while to trust you again th at your clean etc but that's understandable because I dunno about you but All I Did Was Lie! So be patient and If you ever are struggling and feel as if you wanna Use Go Get Help do not Be ashamed because that's Normal, but Letting someone know your having a bad Hour, Day, Week, Month, Etc might just Not Only Keep you Sober for Another Hour or Day but Also it Might SAVE YOUR LIFE! I will Be Praying For You!

Hell, I don't even drive and I went to the driveway just to listen.
First time i heard this song youtube algorithm brought me here, about 5 years ago. I was in a dark period of my life, depression and nervious breakdowns took control of my life. It took me a whole year to overcome it, and in that year i found this wonderful song that helped me a lot, and i mean a lot. I listened to it every day, and now that my mental health is strong again i have nothing but gratitude to the band and of course i am very sorry for your loss. Rest in peace Mr Turner and thank you for your help.

I've been in end-stage renal failure, going on three years. Doing dialysis three times a week. I'm very optimistic about fighting for what life I have left. God isn't through with me, yet. I'm still here to make more awesome memories. Heard this song today. Learned the lyrics and guitar chords and sung this song about a hundred times, today. LOL It speaks volumes about where I'm at.

My husband introduced me to this group, he sang this when he got his terminal diagnosis and he said it fit his life, sadly he passed away and didn't get a chance to see them, he missed a hell of a concert but was there with me in spirit. Just recently discovered these guys. Some seriously good stuff. I can hear a tint of Skynyrd, Hatchet and Blackfoot here, but in a nice, more modern package. I'm digging this, and will have to dig deeper into this band. I just hate the fact that it's gotten rather difficult to find these gems as all the mainstream medias won't give them any play time. I consider this my lucky day.

Sometimes you listen to music and a big smile appears but you don't know why. It's the harmonies that make you smile. And these guys do seriously good vocal harmonies.
Love this song. Strikes a cord for sure. I’ve been battling Parkinson’s disease for a while now with some good days and not so good days. Two weeks ago I bought an acoustic guitar and am learning to play. I’m hoping to get the chords to this song. Love to see my other Parkinson’s friends faces when I play this. We’re still here too!
