I tell you my story hopefully it'll help I lost my dad from drugs when I was 19 n it destroyed me to the point I started drugs n done a lot to where I've died three different times. I finally quit at 35 and I lost my mind seeing n hearing God made me schizophrenic I was so scared and the voice's was so much I would cry out to God. And I'm sorry for the things I could've but didn't change for the better. YOUR timing is a LIFESAVER that makes my TIME save lives.
First time i heard this song youtube algorithm brought me here, about 5 years ago. I was in a dark period of my life, depression and nervious breakdowns took control of my life. It took me a whole year to overcome it, and in that year i found this wonderful song that helped me a lot, and i mean a lot. I listened to it every day, and now that my mental health is strong again i have nothing but gratitude to the band and of course i am very sorry for your loss. Rest in peace Mr Turner and thank you for your help.
Good music. So glad Jesus picked up what was left of me on the street in New Orleans 40 years ago. I would not be here if not for His mercy. Yall are truly loved. ☝️ Thanks for the music. ✌️
I've been in end-stage renal failure, going on three years. Doing dialysis three times a week. I'm very optimistic about fighting for what life I have left. God isn't through with me, yet. I'm still here to make more awesome memories. Heard this song today. Learned the lyrics and guitar chords and sung this song about a hundred times, today. LOL It speaks volumes about where I'm at.
Keep on keeping on man and congrats on learning this song. You have inspired me to go learn it my self, I'm sitting beside an accoustic that I have not played in a couple weeks. I have now found another reason to pick it up again. Thanks.
I've been a rock guitarist for the last 30 years. I remember hearing about these guys when they first came out, though I never got around to listening to them until today. I've missed over 20 years of a great band. Criminally underrated.
Hello there! I was born with Cerebral Palsy, then diagnosed with epilepsy 25, and 37 a brain surgery that turned into two strokes for me. This song helps me so much. God bless
Pretty sure these boys paid their dues, and you get what you got here, some of the best music today..Thanks lads.. Keep it going for as long as you can..
You guys can't imagine how this song is connected to my life.... I'm a 63 year old guitar playing cancer survivor and I've been rode hard and put up wet..... love you guys, I'd pray for the day I could get to jam with you guys....
I'll be a 63 y/o guitar player. Not a cancer survivor but I've been down this road. Danced with the devil. Rained on rode hard, put up wet...all of it. And there might not be much left of me but yeah, still holdin on. And it would be awesome to jam with those guys!! Maybe I'll see you there!!!
Hello to you tremendously talented musicians! --- I'm an 81 year old American lady from California who "happened" on this video of yours in the recording studio; just wanted you to know I played it five times and will listen to it over-and-over because I was "taken away" with your awesome Acoustical guitars and musical abilities. 👍🏻 The "over-all sound" of your song and instruments was incredible! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 In fact, I sent your video to a Canadian friend who has long hair as well but sadly, struggles with Depression. --- I KNOW his spirit was lifted when he watched and listened to your "There Ain't Much Left Of Me!" song and sound! --- Considering the "times" the entire World has been in since 2020, we know people everywhere need all the happy, toe-tapping we can get! --- THANK YOU and God bless from a Great-grandmother who loves YOUR of music and talent!

I’m 66, best song I’ve heard in the last 30 years. I play the juke box electric version every time I go to the local bar. You guys are truly a breath of fresh air. Best wishes for you all, you’ve got a great sound, and a great thing going. Don’t mess it up🙌

God said My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. The Good Lord above can lift you out of the miry clay. “He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.” Psalms 40:2

Here is a spanish boy who never was in America, but i fucking love this southern rock. Really feeds my soul, and make me feel free. Gooood song!!! Rock on guys!!!
Just recently discovered these guys. Some seriously good stuff. I can hear a tint of Skynyrd, Hatchet and Blackfoot here, but in a nice, more modern package. I'm digging this, and will have to dig deeper into this band. I just hate the fact that it's gotten rather difficult to find these gems as all the mainstream medias won't give them any play time. I consider this my lucky day.
the smoke will spread......best pure rock n roll band out to date that will play some country and bluegrass to ....your right the good music you have to find ....research cause the junk on the radio is terrible......lol
Was at my lowest of lows when I first heard this song it struck a chord in me and I've turned my life around and this song has been my anthem through it all thank you for these lyrics this song struck me in my heart and opened my eyes to what I was losing and I managed to see it and changed my ways thank you for the lyrics that changed my life
A song did the same thing for me(Movin On by Rascal Flatts) many years ago. I still refer back to it when I need reminding ...going on 13 years for me and hanging tough, you can too!
Hey Robert...I feel your words... feeling like I checked out... horizon looking bleck...thank the music gods for these guys!!!!🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🌈🌈🌈🎶🎶❤️❤️❤️🥀🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴 medical shit on top of not being in the right relationships..... people can be sneaky...as we all know!!! Hope good things are coming your way....try to hang on... that's all we can do i guess!! friend in arms..... SUNSHINE Daydream ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Hey brother!!!I agree...🎼🎼🎼❤️🎶🎶🎶🌹these guys are the real deal!!songs that speaks of life..fills my soul...I feel just like that...but I am still holding on!!!🤘🤘
This band is Awesome!!! If you ever have a chance to go see them live, you will not regret it! I'm so glad that they are finally being recognized for what they are: TRUE SOUTHERN ROCK!!
Head East, the outlaws, Poco, Osark Mountain daredevils charlie daniels band, the band (yea I know they are from canada), Marshall Tucker Band, Leon Russell 38 special Molly hatchet ARS, ARA, and of course Lynyrd skynnyr, allman bros
My fall from grace was a sight to see. 42 days ago I overdosed and was left for dead. Woke up on life support. I'm also 42 days clean....there ain't much left of me, but I'm getting there. My theme song!!! Love this song & love this band!!!!
Jammie Jordan you can do take it from Somebody that has had 6 Months clean and relapsed, then 16 months clean and relapsed, and Now I have 26 months just a few days ago! Then Right at 5 Months Ago My Wife & I had a Son the was only 4 Months old and whom passed away from S.I.D.S (sudden infant death syndrome) aka Crib Death)) and Everyone was Verbally afraid that I would relapse and use again. I even had ppl saying Nobody would blame you if you used again etc etc etc! However I DID NOT USE AGAIN! I said that I would Not Let His Death be in Vain, but Rather Use it for Motivation To Continue to Stay Clean! Take is One Day at a Time set Short Term Goals like 2 Months and then 6 Months and Maybe 9 & then a Year and each time celebrate it because that's 1 more Day, Hour, Minute, Second that your not using! Just know it will take People a while to trust you again th at your clean etc but that's understandable because I dunno about you but All I Did Was Lie! So be patient and If you ever are struggling and feel as if you wanna Use Go Get Help do not Be ashamed because that's Normal, but Letting someone know your having a bad Hour, Day, Week, Month, Etc might just Not Only Keep you Sober for Another Hour or Day but Also it Might SAVE YOUR LIFE! I will Be Praying For You!
There is life on the other side of fake sobriety. GOOD life. You have to be willing to seek it out, and give it a chance. You'll never go back. God bless you
Omg, my friend if 32 yrs lives you guys. It's even quoted by him on his face book intro. He lived you guys as his #1 band. He was always there for me. When I needed a friend the most. He always loved me unconditionally. I was looking through my old messages from him tonight, missing him.He had sent me this song. Classic Don. I've been listening to this on loop, crying , because it's so me. And so him. He died a year ago. I miss him terribly. But your songs at times I wish he was here, reminds me ... he is. He's in my heart, and in tour music. Thank you
Sometimes you listen to music and a big smile appears but you don't know why. It's the harmonies that make you smile. And these guys do seriously good vocal harmonies.
My husband Robbie passed away unexpectedly of all day's on my brothers birthday April 17th 2019...he loved all of y'all's music and was subscribed to your chanel....today would have been his 63rd birthday.. so we are playing all your music he so much enjoyed... Happy Birthday Robbie we all love and miss you beyond..❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hello Gabrielle 👋 Simple music can make you sing, a simple hug can make you feel better, simple things can make you happy, I hope my simple hello will make you smile.
As one of the old school disc jockeys who has worked both rock and country stations from the late 60's up through the early nineties, I want to say how much I really, really like and respect Blackberry Smoke. I feel I know as much as most about music in general, bands, the recording industry, broadcasting, and all it takes to grow a good band and to produce good, money making music, and I feel Blackberry Smoke has got "IT.". They're GOOD. I hope they're around, performing, making a good living and still producing great music for a L-O-N-G time!

Celine Magdalene NO!!! This is my personal crusade for southern rock. So many believe it died w Duane on his 3 wheeler or Ronnie and others on that plane but in a sense a part did but it stayed true thru the 80s and into the early 90s w GEORGIA SATELLITES (like blackberry smoke they are almost totally radio non existent except for "Keep your hands to yourself" which I believe may have misrepresented them as a one hit wonder. No members have died in the band but radio killed em all w silence. Then I'm like 93 the torch was passed to a young dude named shanoon hoon and blind melon. They came and went quick as shanoon hoon OD (at 27 btw w the greats) and only got one real record in. Then came blackberry smoke true as any other or maybe even more. I don't consider Chris Robinson a true talent. He has progressed into a way better musician but first ( black crowes overshadowed real talent blind melon w a cover of a black artist. ) Very cliche very Elvis like of tha black crowes. Like limp biz kit they made their fame off a more talented artist. Never usually turns out well for a bands OWN artist ability.
texascommtech black sir berry band... all i gotta say is look out rock and roll is here to stay... thanks for keeping rock n roll alive... thats wat keeps my heart at the beets it needs ta be... your all keeping me on borrowed time.... owe ya all one thx
I saw a video of them from 1/23, they played this. I had never heard it. I loved them immediately! It brought me here, I'm late to the party! But, Thank the Lord I found BBS. I have lived this song & still here!
41 years old and I got hit with heart failure, I'm in between the bad turnin to misery. Some days i'll listen to this piece ten fifteen times in a row. Helps keep me from loosing my shit. Thank you gentlemen, you've helped save my life more than once.
Ryan G whiskey Myers is the best thing smoken, us southern boys knocking down Nashville's door, ole Luke Bryan Purdy ass better move over time for real music brother
Seen them many times now over the years, even travelled to the USA to see 'em. Simply superb. Still under rated by many but one of the finest bands to come out of the USA in a long time in my humble opinion. They keep it real and honest but with an edge. Keep it coming boys !!!
I'm not a guitar pro but play well enough to learn "ain't much left of me" I played and sang it last night at a men's drug and alcohol center man those guys loved it ! This song speaks their language . I am a south ga Methodist preacher with a call to minister to all the downtrodden and to you blackberry smoke, thanks for your songs that help me do just that... Love you guys keep on keepin on and keep rockin Ga.
Jeezus....this the kind of song you stay in the driveway to find out "who the hell is that band??!!"....is it a lost track from years ago or is it new?? A magical music kind of moment. Zero bad things come of adding an extra guitar or two when they harmonize like this. Epic as fuck.
I will have to say this band is amazing and Charlie Starr stands out for sure because he's playing a beautiful hummingbird guitar- I love that guitar and excellent on slide sir!
I can’t believe it took me until 2024 to discover these guys! So glad I did , BlackBerry Smoke is the best original music I’ve heard in the last 10 years or so … killer guitar playing and songwriting by some cool ass dudes! Dig it
Not even close. BBS has their own sound and better lyrics. BBS only "wannabe" playing great music, their own and the covers they do to honor other greats. Respect.
Just talking about this band with a man at a tavern in my local home town, he died last week, this is one of his favorite tunes. He called this band " the modern day skynard" Here's a beer for you Harold. RIP
Matt Kaminga That story is heart warming but The Cadillac Three to me is the new Skynyrd but nobody will ever be in the same conversation as Skynyrd. I like these guys too. Make sure you check out TC3. Favorite songs are Bury in My Boots,White Lightning,Runnin Red Lights, and just about all of their others. Lol. Sincerely, Joe Deer-Tay
Discovered BBS while learning a song on Six String Country, a great bunch of super talented musicians themselves. Anyway thought I would give BBS a listen. Wow! Southern rock at its finest. At 69 have grown up listening to some great music from the US and here in the UK. BBS without doubt my favorite band atm and makes me feel 50 years younger. Thanks guys, wishing you all the success you deserve.
I just caint say how much I Love this song, and what y’all are doing. Good to see and hear! Play on the juke box all the time. All I can say is Thank You! Hope you guys go far. Very, very Good! Youre rocking it, still got the country. All the rest of your songs are good too! Thank You boys🙌
GREAT SONG, great tone, arrangement, vocals and lyrics, just brilliant!!! Doesn't get any better than this, just different! God bless Blackberry Smoke!
I don't know how I got here. But the instant I hear the song, I kept listening until 1AM, missed my homework due tomorrow, and the song is still stuck in my head when I went to sleep. I love this song!
Homework is temporarily in your life & you may learn something from it. This song will last you a lifetime & what you may continuously reveal to yourself about yourself & about life because of a song, may be more than anything else in your life that can provoke a catalyst. Music can uncover things once lost, or revel the things to come, yet still, it can be the driving force for achievement of them, or even insight for the insight into who it is you are, or(&) what it is you want, or are inclined towards. Cheers! 1:11 something about that. maybe look it up, Syncronicity.
My husband introduced me to this group, he sang this when he got his terminal diagnosis and he said it fit his life, sadly he passed away and didn't get a chance to see them, he missed a hell of a concert but was there with me in spirit. He went down fighting the illness as much as his body would let him.
This is my first time seeing or hearing this band. This is fantastic! I'm not a country fan at all - at least not the plastic Nashville scene. But this is fresh and interesting and the 70s look works so perfectly - happens to be my teenage youth years. Song is really good, vocal is really, really good. All the playing is excellent. I got very interested when I saw that Hummingbird, that's one of my favorites. Love the Taylor baritone combined with the acoustic bass. Killer low end, very clean and full. At 4:25 in I had to write this, love this band!! Great concept, great song, great playing, KILLER vocal!
Don't know if I call this southern rock, or just good rock and roll. But you guys are extremely talented and obviously having a blast doing what you're doing. So keep on doing it, we'll keep on listening. Peace brothers.
Blackberry Smoke Thanks guys... Love you guys... GREAT MUSIC... I'm a truck driver, and my cb stays off while the SMOKE stays on.... Thank you all very much....
Such a great band! This song carried me through a bunch of mess in my life! I saw ya'll Houston, and I thought you guys wern't going to play it, but it was the encore song! I got misty eyed! Wish I could have snagged a band set list sheet. What a show! Come back to Houston PLEASE!
done bought all your cds I can and attended the nearest concert here in Texas your talent is well worth the money and more never stop spreading your gift and I hope it brings you joy in your heart to do so
Signed my divorce papers this week. Moved into my place yesterday.....after deep depression for the past 14 years...I am ready for new life. Great song!
I think you guys are an exception to the rule. So talented. My Dad would have loved you if he was still alive. He taught me when I was knee high to a grasshopper to play guitar and sing. I can tell you sing from the heart. I love how you play the guitar, Charlie. You give a combination of steel guitar and acoustics. I live in Ohio and I would love to see you in concert.
Perfect description of my life and man it hits me pretty hard in the center of my soul. Thank you guys for this incredible song. It has so many different effects personally... reminds me of my mistakes, reminds me of where I've been and what I've made it through and what ive come to be and that I'm human as everyone else. My own mistakes have been some of my greatest lessons in life. But I still cant seem to get it right. Ain't much left of me... but I'm still here!!!
Heard about them 4 weeks ago; front row on right seats at their Jacksonville concert on 12.30.19...this song so reminds me of my husband I left of 30 years and everything he cost us and our dreams he lost due to his addictions and to many 2nd chances
Love this song. Strikes a cord for sure. I’ve been battling Parkinson’s disease for a while now with some good days and not so good days. Two weeks ago I bought an acoustic guitar and am learning to play. I’m hoping to get the chords to this song. Love to see my other Parkinson’s friends faces when I play this. We’re still here too!
Sorry to hear about your health problem but with your kind of attitude, I think you’re not going to let it take you easily. Good on ya, good luck, and God bless!
Keep practicing.. (.I put mine down 5 years now,and I'm at the parlt of the lyrics in this song that say "no-one cared what became of me..." PLAY till your fingers bleed..... Use super glue on your fingers to get ya through practice... Good luck. I'm a lefty it's been interesting...

I always thought I was the only chosen one, till I opened my eyes and received all of you. Thanks for making the lonely boy feel like an accepted man. We all owe this blessing of life to each other.
Got my transplant in 2013. So far, so go. Keep your chin up and never give up!!
Best of luck Mr. Doug
Keep on keeping on man and congrats on learning this song. You have inspired me to go learn it my self, I'm sitting beside an accoustic that I have not played in a couple weeks. I have now found another reason to pick it up again. Thanks.
GOD BLESS YOU DOUG KICK ASS TAKE NAMES
You hang in there Doug....God is not done with you yet Man...*winks*
I've been a rock guitarist for the last 30 years. I remember hearing about these guys when they first came out, though I never got around to listening to them until today. I've missed over 20 years of a great band. Criminally underrated.
Same mistake. 100% agreed.
@@daviddavidson8522 agreed. looks like i'm going to have to get some of their music. Love it!
Hello there! I was born with Cerebral Palsy, then diagnosed with epilepsy 25, and 37 a brain surgery that turned into two strokes for me. This song helps me so much. God bless

51 year old guitar player, lung resection for cancer. Been beaten conscious :)

Charlie, you are one of the best complete artists ever. Vocals, guitar,
songwriting and passion. Not to mention the best band ever!

The Good Lord above can lift you out of the miry clay.

This song proves that there is still good music being made. I'm inspired. Thank you, BlackBerry Smoke
Amen Brother
i can recommend .. the death south.. candians, with humor and great text, and some damn good musicians
@@MissBehaven1974 try Blackberry Smoke and whiskey Meyer's for the best new band s
Music full stop you mean. Imo throwing samples together, pressing play and singing over it isn't music. That's 99% of " artists " today.
Plenty is great music being made in all genres, you just have to work to find it.
Southern rock is still alive and well!!!Love this band!!!! BBS great music god bless u guys!!!🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍
It's amazing how a simple melody can move so many. Keep it up Blackberry Smoke.
I consider this my lucky day.
yeah..i can hear a little Allman bros too. They were live at farm aid. check that out.
Mainstream is trying to divide and destroy. We need music like this to empower our mind body and soul.
Search for "Gems on VHS" on TH-cam.. Lots of good music.. you might not like everything but I bet you find some gems
the smoke will spread......best pure rock n roll band out to date that will play some country and bluegrass to ....your right the good music you have to find ....research cause the junk on the radio is terrible......lol
Both of you are right, 5 bands are more. The best bands. In one. Wow.
Was at my lowest of lows when I first heard this song it struck a chord in me and I've turned my life around and this song has been my anthem through it all thank you for these lyrics this song struck me in my heart and opened my eyes to what I was losing and I managed to see it and changed my ways thank you for the lyrics that changed my life
Amen Brother !! BE carried by His strength and stay in His Mercy...
A song did the same thing for me(Movin On by Rascal Flatts) many years ago. I still refer back to it when I need reminding ...going on 13 years for me and hanging tough, you can too!

Jammie Jordan

Omg, my friend if 32 yrs lives you guys. It's even quoted by him on his face book intro. He lived you guys as his #1 band.
He was always there for me. When I needed a friend the most. He always loved me unconditionally.
I was looking through my old messages from him tonight, missing him.He had sent me this song. Classic Don.
I've been listening to this on loop, crying , because it's so me. And so him.
He died a year ago. I miss him terribly. But your songs at times I wish he was here, reminds me ... he is. He's in my heart, and in tour music.

Hello Gabrielle 👋 Simple music can make you sing, a simple hug can make you feel better, simple things can make you happy, I hope my simple hello will make you smile.
BBS: One of the few bands putting out exceptional music. This group is one of the best talents in music today period!

Thanks for helping the people when they need it. That is an important job and you answered the calling. Right on!
Jeezus....this the kind of song you stay in the driveway to find out "who the hell is that band??!!"....is it a lost track from years ago or is it new?? A magical music kind of moment. Zero bad things come of adding an extra guitar or two when they harmonize like this. Epic as fuck.

Blackberry Smoke- The Whippoorwill album. You're welcome 😉
I heard them the first time on the Rush Limbaugh A.M. radio. Fucking modern/classic music if ive ever heard it.

Dig it
Now that's Blackberry Smoke at it's finest. Great lyrics, Charlie sings with conviction. Feelin that guys👋🏽
Not even close. BBS has their own sound and better lyrics. BBS only "wannabe" playing great music, their own and the covers they do to honor other greats. Respect.
One of the best acoustic ballads I've ever heard. Outstanding...
Just talking about this band with a man at a tavern in my local home town, he died last week, this is one of his favorite tunes. He called this band " the modern day skynard"
Here's a beer for you Harold.
Mr Popeye stfu blackberry smoke ain't much left of me is about as southern as it gets

Incredible words, I may have to copy and share them!
Lol Anonymous fan man I love this song and love how it is worded and Orchestrated and I like the perspective it leaves you with after a guilty 12pack

My husband introduced me to this group, he sang this when he got his terminal diagnosis and he said it fit his life, sadly he passed away and didn't get a chance to see them, he missed a hell of a concert but was there with me in spirit. He went down fighting the illness as much as his body would let him.
Sending hugs 🤍
Brothers and sisters - you can now download the audio from this performance on our website. FOR FREE! Thank y'all for listening!

My own mistakes have been some of my greatest lessons in life. But I still cant seem to get it right. Ain't much left of me... but I'm still here!!!
Thanks for your honest and sincere love towards my work,we have you to be most thankful for . 💓🙏🙏

(.I put mine down 5 years now,and I'm at the parlt of the lyrics in this song that say
"no-one cared what became of me..."
PLAY till your fingers bleed.....
Use super glue on your fingers to get ya through practice...
Good luck.

Full of crap. I knew his Uncle Ray.
What he did is unforgiving to his Family. He can cram his achey break heart up....I see him on the Ohio River. Oops accidentally pushed him in. 😆 lol
Uncle Ray RIP.
