Flatland Cavalry are a throw-back to bluegrass country from the 1930's and 40's time period that was borrowed from the old Bluegrass era of the mid 1800s Kentucky and Smokey Mountains type folk songs. The kind of country my grandpa used to listen to and captures your soul with it's deep southern rooted tone and melody.
These boys are from west Texas, the Permian basin, Mojo country and they are damn good, especially my nephew through my brother’s marriage. He’s the one the cajon box, the drum box, no really all these boys are real fine musicians and your going to hear more of them in the near future! They’re just that good, if they come to play in your town I suggest you go see them. Keep up the good work boys, appreciate you!!
