  • This interview was done in Los Angele. It is unedited. At the end, Mike tries to make the uncomfortable cut-aways better by asking me funny questions. Mike's final appearance was on Two and a Half Men A wonderful actor who passed away at age 91 on January 26, 2017. Mike had leukemia.

    mannix was the greatest tv show ever made. in its 8th and final season, it was still a top 10 show. more importantly, mike was not only a great actor but a very kind special person. he is missed but will always be remembered. its a joke that tv land has mannix on at 2am. it should be on during the evenings on prime time. every one should call and write and e-mail tv land to let them know this.

      I sure miss the late great actor Mike Connors. I still enjoy watching Mannix and his plaid suits. He was a very humble and talented man. Also Gail Fisher was the perfect secretary and a beautiful talented lady 👍🏻 Thankyou for showing this classic up close and personal interview with Mike Connors he was the best 👍🏻

    I fell in love with him when I was only twelve years old. My other girlfriends were loving Bobby Sherman and David Casidy, Davey Jones and I was nuts over Mike Connors 'Mannix'! I would go to the drugstore to find magazines that he might be in and if he was I'd buy it.I had a bulletin board full of his pictures and knew everything about him. I'm a young 62 now and my guy is George Clooney. I will always love Mannix. I noticed George and Mannix are similar and even have similar faces. Look at their eyes! I wish I could have had the long loving marriage Mike had. I loved his looks, his class, and how he was so tough yet so gentle. Rest in Peace Mike "joe" ~

      Class of actors like Mike, James Garner, Tom Selleck, Robert Urich, Sherman Hemsley, Clint Eastwood, Angela Lansbury, Dihann Carroll, John Ritter, Ed O'Neill, Sidney Portier, Denzel Washington and many others from the old days are almost non existent now. It's sad too because their appeal is what helped make television and films so iconic.

    The TV series of the 60's and 70's were so much better than the ones today. Mannix was one of my favorites. It is currently being aired on the MeTv Network at 2:00 A.M. eastern standard time. All eight season are available on DVD.

    Thank You for.Posting This Video. Steve mcgarrett was the best cop but there was no greater private eye than good old "Mannix" he was something that is never displayed today.
    He was honest, ethical, had morals, and didn't over charge his clients!!! Look at the smut and filth we look at today does any of it compared to him? I Think NOT!!!

    I love Mannix!!! I first initially started watching the show back in 1999 on a retro TV station. But lost track of keeping up with it. Had so much going on. I picked up on watching it again in 2017 consistently that I decided to go ahead and buy the whole series. From 2018 onward, I've been finding time to watch it. I'm currently on the 6th season with the last DVD in the 6th season to watch. I hope to get to season 7 and 8 in January or February of 2023. If I didn't work so much among having a lot of other things going on, I would've been done watched all of the episodes back in 2018-2020.

    • @patsvideos4471
      @patsvideos4471 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had Googled Mannix a little while back and found out why the show was canceled. An article said that It was because of The Johnny Carson show. Producers of Mannix felt that they couldn't compete with the Johhny Carson show getting a lot of ratings while Mannix was in the 8th season. So they pulled the plug on Mannix. ☹️ It was stupid because the producers could've finished up the Mannix episodes since it was in the 8th season. The article said that Mike Connors said that he was sad about Mannix being canceled.

    I sometimes watch Mannix on MeTV at 1 am. (usually seasons 5-8 on non-school nights, but also bits of season 4, VERY LIMITED season 3, BUT NOT ONE SINGLE EPISODE OF SEASONS 1 and 2!) So when an episode of Mannix I don't really like is airing, I watch seasons 5-8 on my DVD, particularly when Mannix is on the air.

I never missed a Sunday at the Braille School sometimes things weren't always Pleasant, I am thankful that I could watch Mannix that always made me happy. I read Mike Connors biography he was a very kind man on TV and off TV married man and you don't see that too often in marriages where one partner is an actor he was true to his wife and children even when he faced Temptation it said he turned away from temptation he was married to his wife for 65 years and his wife's name is Mary Lou and they both passed away in 2017 and they were very close and they never wanted to be apart if you get a chance read his biography a very wonderful human being and a very wonderful man

      It sucks that they took it off the air. Had nothing to do with ratings but it was a disagreement between executives at the studios. I read in an interview that he said he felt 'so lost' when the show stopped. He seemed like a genuinely nice guy. I own the entire dvd series and recently started to watch it again. Amazing show with great actors and production values.
