Sir no problem in video. I want to know smthg more..... How is the connection of relay when we use REF for a line? and What is REF non directional stage 1 start or stage 2 start and stage 3 start
Today I read this scheme from the book of JB Gupta, I hardly understood the working principle, but after watching this video, it's crystal clear. Thank you
Sir apane bahot achha bataya hai.....I m also electrical engineer....but college me jitana nahi samjha usase kahi jyada ap ne achha smjhaya hai....thank you very much sir🙏🙏🙏 for your efforts....
Ye video dekhkar aaj muze lag raha hai interview me agar muze pucha jaye aur me definitely iska ans kar pauga and mera impression bhi positive rahega..
Great upload. You explained really well. Next topic: How to choose the CT ratio and C value (C100, C200 etc) so the CT doesn’t saturate during a fault?
Very important for field engineers! Very well explained. One more point can be added like why in CT secondary current flows opposite concept of P1-P2 ~ S1-S2..so that if it gets reversed in wiring that fault can also be found.
Sir you have explained beautifully. Thanks for sparing time & making such informative video . I have few queries, request to address them . 1. Why this REF protection only use in transformer having capacity equivalent or more than 2.5 MVA? 2. REF protection Relay will be installed in primary side of transformer or secondary side ? Once again thank you very much for this video . 🙏🙏
Abhishekji, beautifully explained. Can you just add, what will be the scenario if the transformer winding is delta connected? How the CTs will be connected?
Restricted Earth Fault Protection scheme explained very well and in a very easy to understand manner , sir .. One request sir .. can you please make video on topics , [1] 400 KV Busbar differential Protection scheme and [2] 400 KV Line Distance protection relay scheme ? please do the needful sir .. Thanks & Regards ..
Very clera and sound as well as informative, Thanks . Please make a detailed video on transform oil testing and action incase of oil contain danger gas, furan test analysis and action.
1)Why nct is not getting saturated but phase CTs are getting saturated due to high fault current? 2) What is the zone of protection of lvref and hvref in a 33/11kv substation?

Beautiful explained.mai Aaj tak samajh nahi pay tha ye concept but now I feel confident.lekin sir ek question puchhna Chahta hu .apne kaha jab fault hota hai to fault current k opposite CT ka secondary current flow karta hai. Kya normal condition me jab sab kuchh sahi chal raha ho to CT k secondary ka current flow kiss direction me rehta hai.pls sir ye bataiye.kyunki Maine book me padha tha normal condition me CT k secondary aur primary me 90 degree ka difference hota hai thora confused hu.pls clear kar dijiye sir
Sir...you are doing very great job for us in simple language to make us understand.. I hav bit confusion if fault occur outside then current will also come through stabling resistor in relay or will follow other path to NCT...kindly clear my doubt..🙏
Sir when fault occur outside the restricted area, u said magnitude r same so resultant current is zero but stability resister affect one side of magnitude ,then might be chance of energies of ref. (Plz clear sir) Also make a video on when to use metrosil? And its calculation ?
Mere solar plant me 5mva TRAFO ka REF tripping relay operate hota hai jab outside area (substation) me earth fault hota hai.. restricted area k bahar k faul pe operate nahi hona chahiye na... Stabilizing resister work nahi kar raha kya? Please suggest more....
Mera ek question hai ki Books me likha ki differential relay ko jab transformer (delta star) k protection me lagate h to CT delta side star me aur star side delta me connect hota h..but actually Maine power transformer (delta star) me dekha h ki star side CT ko bhi star connected kar rakha h...aisa kyun karte h? Aur kon sahi h books ya practically.
Jab resistriced zone ke andar fault hota hai, tab bhi current I2 lowest resistance path kyun nahi karta? Kya tab stabilizing resistance series mein nahi hota hai?
