    "This setup is so budget friendly" - has GTX1070, "I'd consider this budget" - has a $1000 ultrawide monitor and macbook. I think Frank thinks that everyone has at least $5000 to spend on computer equipment.

      Nice video, but if you're doing a "Budget" edition, you need to have a price cutoff. Do like $500, $1000, $2000 dollar episodes or something like that.

      Budget is subjective is the problem. He should call it the "$2500 or less Budget Setup Edition" because that defines it. All a Budget means it something you define and attempt to stick to or stay under for whatever reason that it's all you have, all you want to spend or to just see what you can do for under a set amount. To someone that can spend 5k on a setup 2.5k will seem like a very affordable budget friendly setup.

    I never understand why setup channels use the word budget ''wrong'', budget could mean any amount...if someone can only spend $500 max than his budget is $500 but if someone can spend $10.000 max than its still a budget, just a budget of $10.000 ... its a personal limit, I think these type of segments would be less confusing if they would include the budget amount in the title like.. $2000 budget setups or $1000 budget, that way viewers wont type comments like ''how tf is this a budget''

    Yes, because a 1070 ($500), 4790k ($400), 4k monitor ($500), a $300 case and a $250 dollar set of speakers is totally on a budget.

    • @Th3MysticGam3rs
      @Th3MysticGam3rs 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      and I see people saying look up the definition of budget, I understand this but that's not what budget means in the context you've used it, everyone has a different budget so most viewers would obviously presume it must be aimed towards people on a tight budget, rather than people on a huge budget

    • @Th3MysticGam3rs
      @Th3MysticGam3rs 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      also for the whole definition thing, it's been used as an adjective, and the definition of budget used as an adjective is literally "inexpensive"

      +The Mystic Gamers budget may have a specific meaning in this scenario but if most people interpret budget in a different way then the best thing to do is translate it into a way that everyone properly understand.

    • @Th3MysticGam3rs
      @Th3MysticGam3rs 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Britannio Jarrett yes precisely, instead of changing the title and thumbnail to something that makes more sense, he just basically called everyone stupid and told them to look up the definition, even though you'd think after hundreds of people interpret it the exact same way you'd think maybe you were in the wrong, but apparently not...

    Everyone complaining, the thing is Budget doesnt define a number. Its just cheaper that what he usually shows. I consider a budget setup under $2K as a good costs a lot. My Pc costs $1400 but the rest of my setup doesn't cost that much. Budget is more about everything other than the PC, not wasting money on $1000 Headphones or mic, etc.

    I liked the video because I do enjoy this series, but I agree with other commenters that for a budget, absolute max for gaming should be $1500 most. Many don't want to spend more than 1k. When you have a set up worth $2500 of coarse you can have a solid set up for the amount. You could have a $1400 amazing gaming desktop with a $600 for a great monitor or duel setup and leave $500 for speakers, headphones, mouse, keyboard and desk easy.
    I might recommend making a price max for a budget episode, such as, "Room Tour Project: Budget under $1000" to really help those out that really don't have a high budget. You could even include the pricing such as $2500.
    That's just my feedback! Still an awesome episode, and keep making great content!

    Thanks for having R.F.P.. Its awesome to be featured on one of your videos. And yes I did make this build a few years back. I know everyone is like this isn't a budget edition video. Everyone has a different definition of budget. If we are just looking at the builds that you had on there it is budget compared to all the other builds that have been on this channel. When I built my PC I really didn't have a budget. I knew what I wanted to get and for my PC I totaled $1200 with all peripherals. At that time I thought that was expensive which was 2 years ago. I also updated or added to the build. And on the entertainment center is for sure way more expensive than my PC build. Keep putting out awesome videos R.F.P.

    • @randomgaming6808

      Do you even know what budget means? I could have 10000 dollars to spend on a build and guess what it's still a budget build. Now it won't be your budget it my budget

      The systems are all budget systems. Except for the 1070 one, it's a bit pricey. It's the monitors, keyboards, mice, desks, and speakers that drive up the cost. Even when cutting costs those things can easily add $600.

    I dont get all the hate, because before you comment about It not being budget etc. you need to watch the whole video.Then you see Frank gives disclaimers the whole time about that it May not be very budget but the price for what you get is good or something like that.
    I enjoyed this roomtour project Just like al the other ones. Keep up the good work!

  • @JecciClark
    @JecciClark 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Not to hate, but i think just cause u show really serious, really expensive builds on the regular. It still doesn't make these less expensive builds "budget"
    they're more higher-mid ranged pricing

    i think a budget setup should be something like this:
    CPU: i5 whatever gen...
    MOBO: any brand without OC needs (I prefer H97)
    RAM: any RAM will do (8GB/16GB)
    GPU: GTX750Ti or max GTX950
    Case: NZXT S340 (really nice look tho)
    PSU: any non-modular PSU with 500-600 watt
    SSD/HDD: up to self preference
    Monitor: 1080p monitor is just enough...lel
    Peripherals: a simple mechanical keyboard, a gaming mouse and you r done.

    Alright alright. The word *BUDGET* doesn't mean $250. It doesn't mean $400. It's not specific. This may be a *BUDGET* video, just a *HIGHER BUDGET* video. Not everyone has the same budget as you. These people may have had a higher budget. Your budget was $250, his budget was $2500. End of story.

    I don't think you get that to most people, a budget setup refers to a low budget. Your idea of budget being "making the most of your money" would mean a 5000 dollar set if spent wisely will fit into the category of budget set up. Your definition of a budget is that of a budget that is a noun, like a budget of so and so dollars. A descriptive meaning of budget refers to being inexpensive, like budget mouse(a Redragon mouse for example), and that's why everyone here's feeling upset.
    Throughout the whole video, you're trying so hard to convince us that each setup is a budget setup, but if you really have to try to do that, then there may be an issue. These aren't budget setups dude. It's generally considered that a budget setup ranges from under 1000 to even 1500, and 1500 can still be really pushin it as a high-tier budget setup, so many will stop at around 1000 to be considered a budget set up.
    If anything, I think it'd be more helpful to put a price range in the title for the budget to make things more clear. This way people will know it will be bout setups of "a" certain budget, rather than being a budget setup.

    This isn't what I meant by budget setups. I meant like actual budget setups. People with old monitors, last gen consoles, using laptops that aren't 2500$ macbooks, ect. My setup has a dell ultrasharp that has a resolution of 1280x1024, a samsung monitor that comes out to 1680x1050, a cheap generic keyboard, a dell latitude e6430 powering everything, and a ps3 and xbox 360 for games. I have some lights and an extended mousepad but those were on sale so its a miracle i could get them. all together I paid less than 1000 for my setup, i'd say closer to 700$ (thats including all of my games).

      Budget is not defined by a number "sub $1000"

      +randomfrankp By your logic every build is a budget build. I agree that your use of the word budget is correct by definition, but when you say "budget build or budget set ups" people expect things to be on the cheaper side. Definitely not a system that has a $200 Mobo a $300 CPU, accessories that are well over $100.

    Clearly there is a misunderstanding here...Frank calls these setups "budget" because he compares them with other high end setups while most people compare them with their setup and they think they are not. So for Frank (who has a godlike setup) these are budget setups but for most of his audience the title of the video is misleading.

  • @hyp3rfr3sh_80
    @hyp3rfr3sh_80 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Not sure why everyone is complaining about "budget". $2500 is an incredibly small amount of money when you consider all of the components that go into building a PC and outfitting a setup. Even $5000 is a pretty tight budget in that aspect.
    Not sure if I'm the only one, but Frank's setup series is easily my favorite out of any because of how mature and refined most of the setups featured are. I might be nit-picky, but I really don't want to watch a video about extreme budget setups that feature nothing but a PC built with outdated technology, mis-matched 4:3 monitors, and a hand-me-down desk from someone's grandparents. Just not interesting.
    So, Frank, thank you for understanding that under $5000 can be considered "budget".

    To be honest, I'm a budget gamer, I buy $15 led keyboard which I like and $10 gaming mice which I also like very much. I don't need a $50 mouse or a $100 keyboard. My desk was giving to me by my dad because he stopped using it, so I got it for free. I connected my laptop to my TV through HDMI to have a dual monitor set-up, I couldn't be happier. I recently bought some rgb lights to put around my desk so it looks like these amazing desks ( I hope it works lol). My point is, sometimes you could use something you don't use for something new (ex. what I did with my TV) and you don't need a $5000 budget to make you feel like you have a monster setup. I feel great about my setup because I did it. Anyways, those are my points.

    I don't know why people are saying these are too good to be budget setups... These are perfect. These people used the best out of their money, and these are truly budget setups. When people think of budget setups they think of poor, messy, garbage, and cramped setups. No, it's either that they spent too much money on useless shit, or they don't care. I have a stable job/income and I can afford anything I want for the most point, but my setups are just like these. These comments are really strange. When I first decided to start gaming on PC I set my budget at around $2,000. And that budget included EVERYTHING, Monitor, Peripherals, PC, Desk, Chair, and everything else (Including RGB strips) lol
    I purchased everything in a span of a year or so. I started off with a PS4 PRO (I already owned it, before deciding to build a PC) First, I bought my desk and chair ($200 for both), and a Acer 4k Freesync monitor ($250 on sale at Best Buy) I gamed on my PS4 for around 6 months, while I saved enough money to build my PC ($850) I didn't want to ball out, and buy the best of the best just yet, so I didn't save up more money, it was going to be my first PC. Mouse and Keyboard ($100 for both) Logitech G502 and G410. Headset Arctis 5 ($70 on sale at Best Buy) I think that's about everything I got that was necessary to game. I did buy some extras like speakers and pop figures and a little fake plant. Anyways the whole point of my comment is to define a BUDGET. Everybody's budget is going to be different. I know this video is old, but I felt like I needed to point out how a budget works lol
