"Joke's on you bitch you'll never be free" really grabbed me. As someone with BPD, that's a very real, very strong fear; that you'll never actually grow or change no matter how hard you try. This show really catches you off-guard.
My bestie of over 10 years recovered from her BPD, it's *TOTALLY* a thing! She found the right combo of medications (she also has adhd) and went through Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. THEN she managed to finish law school, get married and have a **delightful** baby girl! All because she put in the work 👍🏾 everybody is a work in progress, just don't give up 💜

Recently, one of my best friends said the most profound thing to me: Love is being messy together. Honestly, when put like that, healing and connection sounds actually doable. :)

You can't fix your brain chemistry just by willing it so, but with medication to help fix it and therapies like CBT/DBT to help you act on your own behalf, you can eventually eliminate the negative symptoms that make you qualify as having a disorder. You'll always be different; both shaped by and best able to understand others with your disorder, but you can live a happy, stable life and become an ambassador for mental health.

I went through a variety of medications before I found the right one and wanted to quit so many times, but once I found the right medication it changed my life so much for the better. I'm happy, I'm proud of what I'm doing, I have a regular sleep schedule, I can call and make my own doctor/dentist appointments, and I have been able to hold down a wonderful job for almost 8 years.
The "I can't ask you to share" is the part that I like the most in this song. The first time she wanted to do polyamory in order to get around having to choose between Josh and Greg without even considering how either of them would feel about it. Now she's saying how it just wouldn't be fair to any of them to ask that. That's growth. God I love this show

It can happen now. She is has three viable suitors whom she wants in return. They all have a toxic past with her, but could the past be left in the past? Rebecca is the Crazy Ex Girlfriend of each of them, but is a little bit more nuanced than that. TV show character or not, I just want Rebecca Bunch to end up happy.
Even though I love Nathaniel, I think the healthiest relationship would be with Greg. Both Nathaniel and Josh were dependent on Rebecca for their personal growth while Greg grew once he got some distance. That’s the only relationship I can see where she’ll get something out of it and won’t be codependent in an unhealthy way.

I mean, props to Skylar for taking the character of Greg (who was basically doomed to be worse if any other actor than Santino played him) and having the same mannerisms and inflections that Santino played Greg as. They couldn't have made Santino come back so the next best thing is get someone who could mimic him well.
You know, I always thought I hated love triangles (or any love polygon) because one or more of the options were awful people, or they were poorly written, or they went on too long. Turns out, even though those may all be true, I'm just not into it. This show has none of those problems but which guy Rebecca ends up with is, for me, the least interesting part of the show. The columns were right: they're all viable options and there's no objective reason for her to end up with one instead of the other two. It really only matters which one she likes most. Even whether she ends up with anyone at all is a more interesting question. Some people have said they want her to realize she can be happy alone, and I get that, but I also think showing that someone with BPD can have a successful romantic relationship would be valuable too.

This is purely subjective, but I think fan opinions that Rebecca NEEDS to end up with any of the three men or to be single is irrelevant. This show makes a big deal about life being a series of personal choices, which can be bad or good. Other people's opinions don't matter until the person themselves have evolved in some way. The show has also done a lot to question destiny in preference for making your own fate. I think the ending for Rebecca should just be whoever she ends up being, be that with Josh, Greg, Nathaniel, herself, or someone totally different. After all, romance still is a big part of her life. Ignoring the men, she's a romantic human who loves love. Does her her happy ending NEED to be void of it? If she can find a way to be happy with herself and with love, why not? Whatever happens, I can't wait to see where she ends up :)
