Being around other happy people can sometimes make you feel good, but if someone experiencing problems with their mental health was told to just be positive and look for the good, it would be confusing for that person. Because if I’m dealing with something that’s making me anxious, I won’t be happy until those things get solved. It’s not about just changing emotions and being happy, it’s about actually looking for effective strategies to solve those problems. That’s what makes you happy when you’re going through bad stuff. But in this case, like with this comment, yes. This girl’s positivity can light up a room. People like that are such good friends to have.

as an artist, one of my favourite things is when people complement the stuff ive made. especially when you notice a specific detail i tried really hard on and put of a lot of effort into. its the best and it makes me so so happy
I‘m kind of an artist myself but if someone compliments my drawings I feel like it’s just cause they wanna be nice or polite but doesn’t really mean it. So to me it’s not that of an compliment even tho it should be
Last year some girl told me I had a great smile. If I knew her I would literally thank her every day because now I smile all the time and I feel so confident. One compliment can go so long for someone. Especially if their very insecure. Be nice 😊

i think a really good compliment is when someone compliments you for being short because short people usually hate their height like my bf said to me "don't let anyone say anything bad about your height, it makes you cuter than you already are" and i literally screamed
