Also, you wondered where they find the time to write stuff like this. Take into consideration that this IS their day job. This is what they DO on the daily. Also, they don't do this stuff alone. Their boss Bang PD graduated from the most prestigious university in Korea and majored in stuff like this. He's deeply involved in what RM puts out for BTS. He's also a very philosophical guy. Their connection is real on so many levels.
If you like reading, there is a RM books list you can find on Google. And there are actually reactors try to finish all books and react on that, very interesting and you will then feel why RM can write deep lyrics. He is like Lyric King of his generation.
There's also a pretty expansive book list on Goodreads thats specifically books that either members have suggested/been seen reading, or books that explain/align with MV/song theories.
This is why BTS fanbase is diverse in age. They do not just sing the typical love song. The themes in their music, the symbolism in their lyrics and videos really challenges you intellectually. I find what they do so clever and I appreciate them for directly or indirectly making us aware of these things. What they talk about is relatable but presented in such a mature and intelligent way, which I do not get from other artists. I like that you can go deep into their songs and music videos, or just enjoy it as it is. I agree that you could take BTS songs and MV and teach literature, art, psychology, philosophy etc. It is amazing that they can not only entertain but educate their fans. That is why I believe that there is no one in their league.
i’m actually a baby army and my journey of learning all these stuff coincidentally aligned with your timing for the reactions, and i am really enjoying doing this with your videos!! the comments help me so much too, i appreciate every army that is here to teach :)
I'm so glad you're getting deep into BTS World. I have never seen such a good positive influence. Thanks to BTS millions of people (not only adolescents) are reading interesting, complex books, going back to the museums, making donations for different causes and so many amazing activities. I mean only BTS can make possibile what could be impossible. 💜
One thing that's important to know is that when it comes to those elaborate narratives, concepts and music videos, is that they are very much a group effort of a lot of people at Big Hit, not just the BTS members. They decide on those themes and concepts together with their CEO and team and then lots of people work on the details. Big Hit is a very creative, artistic and detail-oriented company. They also only work with the best people from outside. If you look at the credits on music videos, you will usually find the name Lumpens, who is the director they have been working with for years. The members very much stress that team effort and consider the people they work with their colleagues.
Stuff like this is what really made me love bts… I think that bang pds open way of dealing with them and their journey as a group. His way is not the traditional way in the slightest. I think he himself is gifted and extremely smart with an open mind… his choices were made with the hope of true growth and healing for not only these boys but for anybody to discover in their own time. There are so many different instances where I’m amazed with the attention to detail in everything they do. It is so particular from their clothes, makeup and hair colors… the reason they’re constantly changing is because they’re evolving with all of the concepts. They don’t just make music and decide to create a cool video bc it looks cool for the most part… everything is so particular and I just find this type of artistry so fulfilling and there’s just so much to discover and stories they tell… I love the journey and books and stuff that I’ve wanted to read bc of them… it’s a beautiful trend to follow for sure!
Thank you for taking on the monumental task of a BTS video a day! ARMY very much appreciated your effort in getting to know them, their message, music, and personalities!💜
There is another channel "Bookish Theories" created by an Italian who had well researched, reviewed and analysed most of BTS and other Kpop artists' songs and MV.
Gidkiddad, given your personal interests, you are going to truly appreciate analyses by "Bookish Theories!" In this video, she also talks about "Singularity" and "Black Swan," so you may want to experience their official music videos before watching. th-cam.com/video/ytTUPFRQzR4/w-d-xo.html
BTS discography is a MASTERPIECE. Every lyrics, concepts have deep meanings. You must start on the STORYLINE. They are such genius every thing they do. BTS is the only artists I know that can do a music video, concepts, lyrics from a BOOK and etc.
A few add ons: - The first painting is (as mentioned) The fall of the rebel angels. The balcony painting which V symbolically jumps into is Landscape with the fall of Icarus. Both by Pieter Bruegel the Elder. - The ceiling above the room where we first see the members seated together is a baroque fresco by Ginaglio Quaglio. It's illusionistic and distorts it's surroundings (to make the ceiling seam arched). It depicts the transfiguration of St. Nicholas and the persecution of christians (/religion) - The statue behind J-hope in the water is Pieta by Michelangelo. It's the virgin Mary holding the crucified Jesus=he has washed our sins away. - In fact every piece of art in the video is very specifically chosen for it's meaning! - If you're confused about some of the depicted scenes it's because they're from the japanese version. You have to watch the japanese versions too when you get into the storyline as they hold some of the clues as well. Phew, I'll let you breathe now... 😅
I left a comment on your second bts video saying that it wasn’t until reactors did a few BTS reactions that I can tell the difference between genuine and respectful reactors and the rest, because you were upset about some of the comments you had received. You’ve now proved that you are willing to listen and learn and understand. Not just that, but you have quickly become my favourite BTS reactor because of how in depth you go into each of the music videos and how much attention you pay to the details. As someone that pays a LOT of attention to lyrics and meanings of music, I like watching reaction videos in the hopes that other people see these meanings behind songs for themselves, and I usually get disappointed. However it is always refreshing when I do stumble across someone that pays the same level of attention to symbols, lyrics and meanings as I do. I have no one in my life that I can have discussions with about this stuff and reactors like you, that are genuine about their interest, are like a substitute for that to me. Thank you for sticking with BTS even though you weren’t getting the most positive comments in the beginning. I hope you now understand why ARMYs can be overprotective mama bears. The intelligence, thought and care put into every song and video is incredible and it’s very sad to see how many reactors never give them a chance or only superficially like them to boost their views and subscribers. Thank you for showing genuine interest in these boys and what they have to say.
Same! I just watched like a few reactions and then i saw that he continues to learn and dig and are really open to comments and discussions, and is really genuine to react made me finally subscribed. I feel giddy whenever reactors catch the symbolisms that we caught and they analyse it in detail oof that’s just 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Wow!! You're one of the few reactors I feel like we are genuinely having a friendly, civil conversation- connection with. Thank you so much for your videos and hard work!
"BTS is on another lvl" yeah, that pretty much sums it up. Sadly only fans and those who dives into BTS knows it, and all others thinks Butter and Dynamite is epitome of songs that truly define BTS essence🤦🤦🤦. Sometimes i want BTS just to drop something like this again as Main single, but we all know general public will never gravitate to that. And anyways for general public Blood Sweat and Tears was song about "Money, Money, Money" even if in reality there was nothing about that in actual lyrics, but auditory it sounded like that. So if you not even bothered turning captions on, "Lyrics are not important" watching this video all you would see is decadence, s seductive choreography and chorus that sounds like "Money, money, money" and here you go , another song about nothing you have. 🤷🤦 People see what they wanna see. But when people spread their own blindness and it comes main narrative it is infuriating. That is why fans go so hard core to correct and educate new fans and general public. That narrative that is painted about BTS is not only insulting to us, but also not acurate. Everytime people start comparing BTS to some other group who existed ARMY gets instantly pissy and hearing these comparisons leaves bad aftertaste for us. It is not that we look down upon those groups, they were amazing in their own way, their success hella impressive. But for us who knows all the things BTS brings to the table it feels not enough. Like you looking at Monet painting, but compare it with all other painters paintings that came before Monet instead of just concentrating on beauty that is actually in front of your eyes and trying to study it now while it is fresh not when painter is dead and becomes acknowledged as legend. BTS is so multidimensional. They bring so much on the table that it is not enough to compare them just to one group or artist. You will need 4-5 and still there will be so much left out of what makes BTS , BTS that in fans eyes it is just stupid to begin with. Yes they can be in some aspect like One direction, Beatles, etc. But it is just similarity between them is such little drop in a BTS bucket, that is is not the ven worth of mentioning. So why even bring that one drop in a bucket up when there is whole bucket to talk about? Also there is steriotypes associated with those groups and music they make. So when in your mind BTS is just another version of band who in your mind sings only about love relationship all you will try to find in BTS songs is songs related to love and spin all the lyrics in that direction. There is reactors out there who concentrating on lyrics diving into another artists with open mind and it very interesting, but when they start doing BTS it is like they just can't break out of that steriotypes they have, they can't see nothing beyond that cliche. It is disappointing, a bit insulting and clearly shows what damage comparisons like that can do and why fans have to push back on this culture of comparison, even if it makes us look bad and aggressive for "No reason".
I have to read 'Demian' now too. I am also searching for a good book on greek mythology. BTS mvs encourage people to actually think and learn. I love that. 👍💜
Oh, and in case it wasn't already said, it's not just this MV, but the entire WINGS album that was influenced by the novel 'Damien'. BTS has so many layers. Each song has it's interpretation, but then each album tells its own story, then each album connects to the overall Storyline of the Bangtan Universe (which also includes album notes, blog entries, webtoon series, mobile game, and performance VRs). The songs themselves are pretty personal to BTS, and they have a lot of creative control when it comes to album themes, but Big Hit/HYBE (and the Production company Lumpens) is primarily responsible for the MV concepts/storyboard (with the members able to add their own input/creativity).
BS&T is on the Wings album. Almost the entire album is based on Demien. This means it’s nearly all Bangtan Universe storyline. I know you’ll be wanting to get into the storyline, but it’s extremely important to be able to recognize the members. It’s confusing and hard to follow even if you do know the characters. So, try to avoid the storyline until you are comfortable with each member and of course you read Demien. You’re doing an excellent job. Thank you for your reactions and passion (or fashion, nvm :) ).
@17:20, you are so right, their music very much reflects their real lives. Their entire discography is in fact very much a reflection of their experiences (like a musical autobiography, to be honest). If you pay attention to their lyrics, you'll get hints of their troubles, thoughts, and realizations in the earlier years as growing young men and artists. Just recently in their 2021 Festa roundtable discussion, Jimin shared that he was so immersed in the concept and theme of their earlier albums, The Most Beautiful Moment In Life. RM, and all of the members (though indirectly) also talked about how the Love Yourself Series meant so much to them: that in the process of making these albums, they were learning the true meaning of loving oneself. All of the music they put out is personal, meaningful, and gives fans a glimpse of how they are at that moment. This is why being ARMY feels like going on a life journey with BTS. :)
i don't know if this will help you with remembering their ages/age order but here ya go In kpop, just like how there's a rapline, a vocal line and a dance line, there's also a hyung line and a maknae line. hyung=older maknae=younger. The "hyung (heyoung) line" consists of the older members of BTS. -JIN -SUGA J-HOPE -RM The "maknae (magnae) line" consists of the younger members of BTS. -JIMIN -V -JUNGKOOK so, when remembering who's older and who's younger, try remembering them within their lines. So, there's only three to remember in one line, and four to remember in another.
The chant is also good to help remember their order (except RM as the leader is first - by age he’s the middle) Kim Namgoon Kim Seokjin Min Yoongi Jung Hoseok Park Jimin Kim Taehyung Jeon Jungkook BTS!
I really love this reaction and loved hearing your analysis and perspective --- i truly enjoyed how far you delved into the meaning of the song - i do think this song is a masterpiece - behind the catchy hooks, choreography, melody and charm of BTS, they were able to incorporate very deep philosophical ideas in the song- im not sure if there are many popular artists that brave this endeavor but BTS, they are just in a league of their own.
Love the reactions and I’m enjoying learning alongside you new things about this crazy group, I too have recently fallen into the dark hole of all this and I’m utterly enjoying it. There are even more layers, like the styles of paintings/art in each scene represents for the example the Banksy like outline when they release the balloon, the moves in the choreography etc. it’s like a Russian nesting doll. It’s art, carefully created art that they care about details all wrapped in a catchy pop like tune. This video utterly hooked me on them.
? Do you know that before BTS releases a new single/album/video they release to ARMY's clues to what the songs/album/video will be about? ARMY's become detectives in their quest to discover what the new project is about. They gave us clues 2 months ago what we thought were clues for BUTTER, the deeper we got into solving the clues, the more we could see that there had to be another song/album/video coming. These clues have nothing to do with Butter. And yes, on July 9th, BTS will be releasing something new.
RM is a literal genuis, his IQ is 148, he scored in the top 1% in the country, he self studied for the TOEIC and scored one of the best scores one can get. He is known to have amazing lyricism, and a great wordplay (that can get lost in translation unfortunately)
I love how deeply your going into all this. I am also ordering The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas (I know I will enjoy and re-read Ursula K LeGuin), but will get Damian through our local library. I’ve been putting off really going deep because I’m lazy lol, but you have inspired me to finally take the plunge.
In addition to RM being a genius, many in HYBE have degrees in Aesthetics. What a combination! Thank you for sharing your background too, which so matches BTS.
You have become my favorite reactor. I just love your willingness to dive deep trying to understand the meaning of their songs. Hats off to you especially seeing so many reactors were puzzled about the MV but didn't bother to find out the meaning behind it.
This reaction was great! Actually I think you’re the first youtuber I saw who reacted to this explanation video, and it’s pretty obvious that you like reading and learning. That’s really nice, we need more people like you!
I think you do a lot of video reactions that are hard to understand in person. 😂 I hope you react to videos that are light enough to enjoy and meaningful after this, like Silver Spoon/Baepsae, Anpanman, Go go, or maybe Dope. Or also rap line or vocal line songs.
Top 10 favorite reactor videos to date. I love hearing from ppl who care about this stuff and actually discuss every step of the way and seek more material to expend on each aspect of BTS' artistry. It speaks to the content creators capacity tbh. LOVE . So amazing. Very stimulating.
I had nearly written you off after your first BTS react. Nearly. I’ve been watching and I also just ordered Demian. I’m going to go try to figure out discord so I can join the chat there. People think I like BTS simply because they are gorgeous, young, hot. I’m 47, femme, and not dead but I’m also not shallow enough that I can not intuit the symbolism and the sentiment in BTS songs and videos. I am studying Korean, and in translating the songs, I’ve come to love the actual words and meanings. See you in discord! 💜🌈💜
There's a trilogy in their album "map of the soul 7: Persona, shadow, ego) that have good explanation videos and are based on the book "Map of the soul" by Jung (a swiss psychiatrist)
I literally just put all of your videos in my watchlist because of how you amazingly articulate a lot of your thoughts and how you genuinely review the music and the meaning behind it. I really appreciate your reaction videos (it also makes me relive my baby army days, so thank you) and really glad to witness your journey.
I must assume that BTS has a pool of creative writers/researchers and undergoes brainstorming before to come up with this comprehensive concepts & next level ideas in this MV.Truly a product of hardwork and excellence.
I'm going to have to check out these books too! I had the best time in my college literature classes. I was lucky to get into a 15 person world lit class in my university of 50,000 people and we traveled the world through literature that semester and it was the most eye opening thing ever. I totally get your interest in digging further into this.
When I first watched the MV of Blood Sweat and Tears I saw many of the referrences, I then had to re watch it and keep pausing it and thinking oh that's the fall of Icorus, oh look that's the fall of Lucifier painting etc etc I remember thinking there's so much symbolism in this video. I remember thinking ohhh loss of innocence, the discovery of self. I listened 3 times to RM and thought I'm sure that's a quote from Daimen by Hermann Hess. So I went and put the quote into google along with the book the writers name. Thank you for going through this 'What Does it All Mean' as I've not seen this before. It's nice to see I was on the right track.
it becomes more amazing when you realize ALL Mv's are connected. We were teased about the damian book in Danger MV because of a tshirt (you don't really pick up on it until it is revealed). And earlier videos almost always have a butterfly, writing on a blackboard or static tv screen that are linked to the HYYH. Also writings or subtle details are linked up togheter. Even in Wings area the birds or feathers on clothing or flying around is such a small detail but it is there. As a fan since before the beginning (like since the twitter came out) I was immediately drawn in not knowing what was to come.
That atheist point is such an interesting one, I haven't heard it before. Thank you for the discussion! You are absolutely right, it feels like they are living each of their albums, and each of the messages themselves. It's almost like a separate layer, seeing how they personally change and soak in each of the lessons. For Damien, from what I understood, they all read the book before deciding what to do with it for the album, which is super cool - I guess RM made em read it? I think that's a big factor in why there are so many meanings to it across the board, all of them interpret it differently and then discuss.
Fun fact: Paulo Coelho (author of The Alchemist) is a big BTS fan and has been so for a long time - he even tweets about them occationally eventhough he says it has cost him a lot of followers (who don't know BTS), but he doesn't care. He wrote on the 22nd of May: "I am losing a lot of followers because I posted a tweet congratulating @BTS_twt but this is the price to pay when you support people you admire. The boys overcame so many difficult moments, prejudices, etc. and THEY WON!!! Purple heartPurple heartPurple heartPurple heart"
I love the idea of a BTS Book Club! Over on his YT channel, Jack Edwards spent a week in February 2021 reading every book recommended by RM and linking them to the relevant MVs. Looking forward to your thoughts on how the books provide a larger context for BTS and their incredible art. ^_^
You did great! I missed so much the first time because the song is so good and the dancing was so beautiful I couldn’t focus lol 💜 you need the Japanese version before you move on, seriously don’t leave Blood Sweat and Tears till you hit it up. 💜
The storyline in their MVs (and or albums) are developed by a team in their company, which is then pitched to the members and their producers. The members then would give feedback and share what they want to incorporate in the theme. They are given creaative freedom so they are very hands-on with the direction of their song and albums. Once they decide on a theme - it can be a word, a feeling , a thought - they would develop it from there. Because of this marrying the MV concept, the song production and the message behind the lyrics comes very naturally. The people in the company are very invested in storytelling and do not shy away from incorporating art, literature, social topics or anything that would spark a conversation. The members as well are avid readers and sometimes the books they've read are usually incorporated on songs/albums they write/produce. An example would be Carl Jung's book Map Of the Soul which inspired their Map Of the Soul album series and Into The Magic Shop by James Doty which isnpired the fan song Magic Shop.
I have a masters in clinical psychology and have, just like you, enjoyed both reading and philosophy, and discussions on any subject. I enjoy your reaction videos so much and I'm probably going to read some books from RM's reading list and share my thoughts on your discord channel.
Hi, I am back. Good reaction, ty. Love this video. Love the song and the production. They inspired so many bands after them to be as creative and as complex. It's wonderful. I have not read the books. I am ok as is for right now. Oh the temptation topic I totally got from the choreo i mean it was in my face!!! Eep. stay safe. -baby Army NY USA💜
BTS is the first, last and only music group witch one I always want to know more. More about the members, personality, habits, feelings, mindset, more about the story of BTS (a incredible succes story like in a Hollywood movie , with darkness and light), more about each song, the lyrics, the context, the soryline, the meaning behind, the symbolism... And also the creative process for the song and the melody, the film making process (I mean, the film maker and artistic director are so connected with the guys, It's a true marvel ! Really a team work, and the result is true pieces of art ! ) , the choreo and dancing composition, the concept clothes .... ALL is interesting ! BTS is a whole world, and I'm never bored to explore it. But 24 h per day is not suffisant Lol !
YES!!! I too believe this resonates with BTS themselves deeply just like all of their deep and meaningful art pieces. We just don’t know how or to what extent. Because they haven’t opened that door within themselves as individuals, to us. It’s privet and theirs. Still, they want to connect to us and so I believe art like THIS, is them giving us a piece of themselves, they are sharing with us in the form of their art. Surely they must have their own beliefs and political views (not limited to governments but of everything), and i am giving credit to BangPDnim, that BigHit has (to me as I feel personally) allowed the room as much as they possibly could in their culture and industry environment, for BTS to be free and open about it. And BTS (and their creative team) is so, so smart. So smart to have some of these ideas put out there in this manner, which if we put into today’s society’s simpler words, they would likely get backlash and canceled. They’re on a level of their own it’s mind blowing, it feels new even after eight years!!
Thanks for reacting!! 💜💜 Enjoyed your reaction and your opinions. This is my opinion and it can be different from other people’s opinions, but I think that (at least in America) we aren’t taught (at a young age) to debate without it getting toxic and that it is okay if people don’t have the same opinions as you. Also to debate without getting angry as soon as someone says something different than your opinion. I think this is especially prevalent with online stuff. (It doesn’t help we don’t know the tone people are speaking so sometimes a comment can come off mean when reality the person didn’t mean that). Now this isn’t everyone and this is just a large generalization. These are just my opinions and to others it can be different. Edit: I agree they amazing story tellers and I don’t know how they find the time for everything.
I like that this video is a book report on Demian. I like the other videos as well that point out all the symbolisms and references that weren't pointed out in this video. Also, please link the videos you watch. This one says there's a link but maybe I'm blind...
I'm a bit surprised that Carl Jung was never mentioned in this video since there's a lot of Jungian influence in the Demian novel and can even be seen within the BU. But at least there are other videos that delve into that aspect of analysis. It's still a good video though :)
@@michaeldecker3480 Oh, well, I haven't heard about it. But this video is also good knowledge about different types of arts since it analyses the video (Bst) and it's inspirations like the book Demian by Hermann Hesse - notions of good and evil, lost of innocence and temptation.
this is the content i've been waiting for!!! now it gets me more excited for u to see the Wings Shortfilms and react to each individual songs on that album~~ (much better to have the shortfilm and lyric vid in one vid since it's short and confusing without the full song 💀) it's a pure masterpiece 👌✨ even the WINGS tour trailer is so artistic & aesthetically pleasing, the concept itself is so great and then there's a whole lot happening in the storyline along with literature reference symbolisms, bighit is actually insane for doing these things so believe me I understand when u cannot describe how much they could do to artistically convey a message in different ways possible
While there's no doubt in the value of BTS' take on art, kudos must be done by their team too, starting from their CEO Bang Pd, a brilliant man with a vision (he also took part - and still does - in the writing and producing of BTS's music), their producers, coreographer etc. BTS are amazing, but their team is amazing too.
If you are reading Demian, you should watch after it the wings solo trailers (7 of them, a minute each and they each have a quote from the book being read by RM (like he did in BS&T) + Jhope's "Boy meets evil) those do have symbolism from the book but they also tie into the BU
As you embark upon reading "The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas", here's a fun fact from Wiki. Whether this translates into a deeper meaning is anyone's guess: "Le Guin stated that the city's name is pronounced "OH-meh-lahss". Le Guin hit upon the name of the town on seeing a road sign for Salem, Oregon, in a car mirror. "[… People ask me] 'Where do you get your ideas from, Ms. Le Guin?' From forgetting Dostoyevsky and reading road signs backwards, naturally. Where else?"
Also this was the song when JHope became one of my bias wreckers i mean just look at the way he dances letting the emotion take him over and also his legs omg they are long. also this MV has so many deep hidden meanings that even tho I've watched it thousands of times I still see little details that I missed before also this choreo is my fav choreo out of the entire choreos they have
Culturally, Koreans are supposed to follow orders. individualism isn't a histoically supported idea, although it's getting better and better. BTS have lots of songs that go against tradition: spine breaker, baepsae ect...
Oh man, I really would love to see you react to some of DKDKTV's explanations of BTS songs. I really enjoy getting deeper cultural meanings for their songs, especially stuff like "UGH!" for the explanation of "ahem" and I didn't expect to have missed so much in the "Idol" MV that was explained so well by DKDKTV. (Honestly, all of their BTS explanation videos are great though.)
Glad you’re finding your exploration of BTS’s art (music, lyrics, ideas) interesting to say the least. Hopefully, some of your viewers will also be drawn to dig deeper into their rich discography, and realise that they’re not just about summer bops like Butter and Dynamite. For me, a senior, their work gave me back my faith in music as a vehicle for ideas and a conduit for empathy and healing, which they made their explicit mission. BTS’s music is at its core, not just expressive but relational, communication between the artists and their audience, whether in gatherings of like-minded but diverse people, but also as individuals one at a time, in their loneliness. Look forward to seeing a live performance of Mikrokosmos. But do listen to BE as their pandemic album, in particular the devastating tracks, Blue & Grey, and Dis-Ease, but also the uplifting numbers, Fly to My Room & Telepathy, and the calming philosophical Life goes On. Please do spread the word in your socials, not to dismiss or disrespect BTS, because of sheer prejudice or the language barrier.
Western artists should take notes. There is a reason BTS are so popular. People really do want more than a$$ shaking. This video is not just beautiful but also thought provoking.
The order of older to youngest is: HYUNG LINE (line of the oldest) Kim SeokJin (Jin) - 1992 Min Yoongi (Suga) - 1993 Jung Hoseok (J-hope) - 1994 Kim Namjoon (RM) - 1994 MAKNAE LINE (youngers line) Park Jimin (Jimin) - 1995 Kim Taehyung (V) - 1995 Jeon Jungkook (Jungkook) - 1997 So they are, in the mv: Jungkook and RM, Suga and Jimin, V and J-hope. And Jin is alone because he's the oldest.
You should read "The Complete Conversation with God" by Neale Donald Walsch. Its really good...very spiritual and not religious. It made me cry cos I can relate.
He is like Lyric King of his generation.
thanks, I didn't know that...💜
YesSss
Literally no one 💜

Once you're familiar with the members' faces you should totally get into the BTS Universe storyline!
I like BT response better tbh.
"Bookish Theories" is genius! Brilliant!
Before watching rise of bangtan ,you definitely need to watch their early songs first.
Wow...you are so busy today. Didn't expect this. Thanks for the surprise
BTS discography is a MASTERPIECE. Every lyrics, concepts have deep meanings. You must start on the STORYLINE. They are such genius every thing they do. BTS is the only artists I know that can do a music video, concepts, lyrics from a BOOK and etc.
A few add ons:
- The first painting is (as mentioned) The fall of the rebel angels.
Nicholas and the persecution of christians (/religion)
- The statue behind J-hope in the water is Pieta by Michelangelo.
yes, dont overwhelm yourself... just enjoy your BTS journey!
As an older army this is what I found interesting about them. They make you think.
You literally wrote my mind i tell ya!!! Thanks for this comment..cuz that's what i feel
i don't know if this will help you with remembering their ages/age order but here ya go
In kpop, just like how there's a rapline, a vocal line and a dance line, there's also a hyung line and a maknae line.
hyung=older
maknae=younger.
The "hyung (heyoung) line" consists of the older members of BTS.
-JIN
-SUGA
J-HOPE
-RM
The "maknae (magnae) line" consists of the younger members of BTS.
-JIMIN
-V
-JUNGKOOK
so, when remembering who's older and who's younger, try remembering them within their lines. So, there's only three to remember in one line, and four to remember in another.
The chant is also good to help remember their order (except RM as the leader is first - by age he’s the middle)
Kim Namgoon
Kim Seokjin
Min Yoongi
Jung Hoseok
Park Jimin
Kim Taehyung
Jeon Jungkook
BTS!
rm has recommended so many amazing books to read!! if you like reading i am sure you will love them💜
ITS A GOOD DAY TO PLAY EVERYBODY.!! WELCOME INNN.!! just the way i like it.. hehe..
I really like this explanation, and I’m definitely buying the book
Being army and getting into bts is a full time job😂
Please please please do "The writing styles of BTS"!!! 🙏🙏🙏
I hope you react to videos that are light enough to enjoy and meaningful after this, like Silver Spoon/Baepsae, Anpanman, Go go, or maybe Dope.
Or also rap line or vocal line songs.
Yeah haha. He jumped headfirst
Thank you. I appreciate your reactions as its all well thought of. You look at the songs and videos in depth and not just the facade.
Top 10 favorite reactor videos to date. I love hearing from ppl who care about this stuff and actually discuss every step of the way and seek more material to expend on each aspect of BTS' artistry. It speaks to the content creators capacity tbh. LOVE . So amazing. Very stimulating.
You are awesome! Also the ARMY that is guiding you through this journey I can not say THANK YOU enough.
I saw a comment here but I want to say it also please react to “the writing styles of BTS” hahahha
You're young comparing to my age of 61.🤣
@@seec4856 we’ve got plenty of time to love these men! 💜보라해
@@jendiademalleyhart3027 I'll definitely love BTS until the day I die. Borahae!💜💜
There's a trilogy in their album "map of the soul 7: Persona, shadow, ego) that have good explanation videos and are based on the book "Map of the soul" by Jung (a swiss psychiatrist)
mind boggling. music+movie+dance+novel+puzzle+enlightenment all in one.
That is amazing.
How can you not love these guys??? This MV itself is a work of art 🤍
Philosophy is for people who like to tie their brains in knots. Fascinating.
There's also a reference to the 2010 film 'Chat Room'
Fun fact: Paulo Coelho (author of The Alchemist) is a big BTS fan and has been so for a long time - he even tweets about them occationally eventhough he says it has cost him a lot of followers (who don't know BTS), but he doesn't care. He wrote on the 22nd of May:
"I am losing a lot of followers because I posted a tweet congratulating @BTS_twt but this is the price to pay when you support people you admire.
You're great reactor. Iam also new to the bts world and you are only reactor explain clearly every detailed of blood sweat and tears mv..thanks
Early again, I commented on the last ones a lot of stuff but I always love your BTS reactions, have fun getting to know our boys💜💜
Thank you for your reactions
Thanks for reacting!! 💜💜
Enjoyed your reaction and your opinions.
I love seeing how happy this made you. I recognize what I felt when bts really caught me
Got excited when I saw BS&T but then...
He already did the mv
@@marirezende8478 I was hoping it was BS&T from the 60-70s
@@michaeldecker3480 Oh, well, I haven't heard about it. But this video is also good knowledge about different types of arts since it analyses the video (Bst) and it's inspirations like the book Demian by Hermann Hesse - notions of good and evil, lost of innocence and temptation.
Malaysian army here..love ur reaction
Thank you , im waiting for you to react on this and tge fact that you going to read the book and gave another insights for this can't wait for it .😁👏
I love the path you are taking for this journey. Love your reactions and the videos you choose to react to.
thank you!
this is the content i've been waiting for!!! now it gets me more excited for u to see the Wings Shortfilms and react to each individual songs on that album~~ (much better to have the shortfilm and lyric vid in one vid since it's short and confusing without the full song 💀) it's a pure masterpiece 👌✨ even the WINGS tour trailer is so artistic & aesthetically pleasing, the concept itself is so great and then there's a whole lot happening in the storyline along with literature reference symbolisms, bighit is actually insane for doing these things so believe me I understand when u cannot describe how much they could do to artistically convey a message in different ways possible
Yes ! I am so happy see this reaction from you ! 💜
Thank you 😊 I love BTS and I like how you react and respect to them 💜
BTS did it at this level.
Coldplay, MJ, Janet J did theirs too.
BTS have lots of songs that go against tradition: spine breaker, baepsae ect...
love the reaction! look forward to you getting into the Bangtan Universe:)
Welcome to the world of kpop
Western artists should take notes. There is a reason BTS are so popular. People really do want more than a$$ shaking. This video is not just beautiful but also thought provoking.
Thank you so much for doing this! I love your reactions!
The order of older to youngest is:
HYUNG LINE (line of the oldest)
Kim SeokJin (Jin) - 1992
Min Yoongi (Suga) - 1993
Jung Hoseok (J-hope) - 1994
Kim Namjoon (RM) - 1994
MAKNAE LINE (youngers line)
Park Jimin (Jimin) - 1995
Kim Taehyung (V) - 1995
Jeon Jungkook (Jungkook) - 1997
So they are, in the mv: Jungkook and RM, Suga and Jimin, V and J-hope. And Jin is alone because he's the oldest.
Hahahaha welcome to the rabbit hole 😏 You’ll gonna love it 💜
