These are great tips. May I share one I discovered? For tiny parts and small PE pieces, I use a white colored Crayola crayon to pick up and hold the piece. Because of its waxy properties, there is a very weak adhesion effect. I prefer the white one so that it contrasts very well with the part so it's easier to see when placing the piece into position.
Very good tip, I have seen some jewellers wax pencils to do the same thing.
This series of tips has been so useful, thanks
Glad to hear that mate 👍
another great tutorial! thank you for sharing Metodi!
Thanks for watching mate 👍
Great tips.
Just what I was looking for.
I am building a 1/35 scale cannon and have some ridiculously small parts to apply.
Thanks and keep up the good work.
Thanks mate, happy to help 👍
Great tips. Big fan of the tape that’s taped down. Use it on both the cutting mat (for assembling small PE) and a small block of wood (assembly, painting and storage). I’ll have to try the CA glue on toothpick.
Thanks mate!
Your tips are always so helpful. Thank you!
Great to know, thanks 👍
Great tips, I also use lollipop sticks with tape or even a little blue/white Tack for those small parts. Thanks for sharing mate and looking forward to the next build video👍
Thanks mate 👍 Yeah bluetack works well too... i forgot about it :)
When using masking tape, I simply stick one end on a popsicle stick, ruler, or paint stir stick, fold it back and wrap it backwards against itself, sticky side out. For toothpicks, it’s easy enough to just roll it backwards in a slight spiral, sticky side out.
For me it moves too much when on a roll and yeah the tape on toothpick works well.
Another excellent episode with lots of simple ideas/tricks to make modelling far more enjoyable and less frustrating. Will be definitely checking out your next build when it appears on the notification bell!!
Hope it's helpful and entertaining :)

Welcome aboard!
Hi, maestro. Thanks for the tip. I want to share to you and everyone I also use a rhinestone picker tool to pick up smallish parts like PE parts. The waxy end allows for instant pickup and placement due to its pencil-like form. Thanks again 👍
Thanks mate, I came across one of these wax pens somewhere on the internet and should order one. it looks rather useful tool.
Metodi's Modeling Hacks - stay tuned for the next episode 😄
😀
Best tip is cut small off on lightly sticky tape and use a toothpick with dried mr mask or latex to pick up said part
Its very useful indeed!
I love the masking fluid tip. Great advice and thanks. Ian
Thanks for watching and commenting Ian 👍
@@MMScaleModels no problem 😊
As others have said my friend, that was some very simple but good ideas, I think small parts are the bane of a modellers life, looking forward to your new build video, best regards to you and your family, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia.

Better late the never I guess :)
Yaaaaaa, I'm not so stupid after all. These are what I do.
Me. Holds small item with tweezers. Piece snaps out and flies a mile away into a bail of hay in a Feather factory
I am pretty sure some of them small PE pieces go straight into another dimension
Brilliant tips, thank you mister! 👍😉🖖
You are welcome and thanks for watching 👍
Very handy tips there, Well done 👍
Thanks mate 👍
Thank you for sharing 👍
thanks for watching mate 👍
rally amazing edition!👏
Thanks mate 👍
Thank you for your video. I have to attach a very small, side mirror on an HO scale locomotive. It is a clear plastic piece. Should I try using the wet toothpick method and CA glue? Does the glue brand matter? I don't have any modeling experience so I'm pretty nervous about doing it right. If I mess up, I could damage a $260 train. Advice is appreciated.
Just got to your comment, I hope it is not too late. If you have no experience I can suggest using PVA glue instead of CA. Once settled it can hold the part but also can be cleanly removed if necessary. You can find "industrial" grade PVA at any hardware shop I believe.
@@MMScaleModels Not too late at all. Thank you. I'll check into it.
Very good tips!
Thanks mate 👍
C'est ce qui s'appelle de la précision.

Excellent👍🏻
Thanks mate
Thanks mate 👍 🙂
How do you sand small parts
Carefully 😁 Most oftrn I scrape them with the scalpel while still on the sprue.
