Thanks for joining our first-ever live cooking session!! Marcus and I had an absolute blast and are very much looking forward to the next one! Cheers and HAPPY COOKING!! p.s. recipe for the pasta is in the description.
Sonny absolutely ragging on Marcus for not keeping on top of things while monitoring and switching between 4 cameras, reading and interacting with chat, and managing everything else while Sonny is just chopping some herbs 😂 poor Marcus needs a raise
Marcus did great! he just needed a little reminder here and there, we'll get better at it but at the end of the day I really just had the audience in mind, I wanted to make sure you guys could clearly see what was happening in the pan etc...
Y’all did great dude I made a pot roast last weekend and used your recipe for it first time I ever cooked down tomato paste made a huge difference love you guys
just know the silliness contributes to the charm. i don't want it all to be perfect. one of the things i love about you guys is the clowning around you do
Sonny, dude, I can't comment for others, but keep these lives going. Show all the good and bad. No drama, only brutal and honest cuisine - what we all pass through when cooking something different. Keep being awesome 👊
I love these lives so I can see how long stuff actually takes to cook.. The chemistry and banter between you and Marcus is absolutely priceless.. I'm hopefully gonna catch the next one live..
that was a genius idea and very well executed. Marcus was straight up juggling jobs (good pasta tossing!) and Sonny was a natural. The collaboration between you guys is a display of something only built up with a long time of working with each other and coordinating. Looking forward to more of these!
Congrats on the first live. This is awesome! Wish I was around to watch it live. Great work can’t wait to catch the next one. Way to go Sonny & Marcus! Job well done.
I JUST remembered something: it was you!! I watched the stream (pretty sure not live, because I live on the old continent) and after a week or so, I started cooking aglio e olio and have had it at least 2 times a week or so! I also tried adding onions (not worth, doesn't add anything) at one point. and shrimps plus lemon zest at another point (THAT I can recommend, and to Italy: shhhh, I know! But I'm not Italian, I just like eating stuff that I like) But it all started with you demonstrating this marvel of a dish =D Thanks, you've inspired me not to only do this dish, but to try out Italian classics (and eventually my own twists to them), because thay are classics for a reason. When you look at the ingredients, they have no business being as good as they are - so it's great to know them =)
That was amazing and I loved every minute of it. It was hilarious to hear Sonny's footsteps walking outside and then just appearing in frame, jump kicking the fridge, I cried laughing a little. I didn't mind any of the quirky first attempt mistakes, I thought it gave it a lot of genuine charm. The only recommendation I have is to give Marcus a mic to talk into, because it can be hard to hear him when Sonny is conversing with him about the on-goings of the stream.
Sonny, you gotta realize that we all love you and Marcus. From a viewer's perspective, you gotta trust Marcus to do what feels natural for him in terms of camera switching. Let go a little and trust in your people. We (your audience) love you both.
Really enjoyed this format. You were right at the beginning; the hard part of learning to cook better isn't the recipes, it's about getting a feel for the timing and a sense for what texture things should be. I always learned the most from Kenji's channel where he just does things in real-time; very few cuts/time jumps. The whole stream I was thinking "why is there no FRIDGE CAM?!" so thank you for setting it up at the end. Was totally worth it!
Don’t worry about the scuff, part of the appeal of live streams are the messups and mistakes because it’s more genuine and relateable. You and Marcus killed it and can’t wait for the next!
As a long time professional cook, you did a great job capturing the chaotic fun of being in a kitchen. Aglio E Olio is a great dish for this type of series as it's a very simple dish that has some important techniques to learn to get it right, but anyone can pull it off with a little bit of effort. Another great pasta for this series would be Cacio E Pepe, which can that lead in to Pasta alla Gricia, and then into Carbonara and Amatriciana. I would say those 5 pastas would be the equivalent to the French Mother sauces. Jumping away from pasta, an omelette would be another great one for a live. Especially the French style.
Julie Child did a great French omelette demo. Not sure where to find it. It involved a lot of butter, good timing (water boiled out of butter but not browned), a thin layer of egg and assertive pan movement.
Don"t put too much of a shine on the show. Just let it happen naturally. Been cooking for 70 years and still love my time in the kitchen! I find your take refreshing.
I'm subscribed. Watch you off and on. When you said my wife, me and my daughters jaws dropped. We thought you and Marcus Where a thing. We don't care either way we still get enjoyment from your content and wish you all the best. Keep it up dude! We love your enthusiasm, especially when you beat the fridge.
A great addition to this pasta is to melt 1-2 anchovy filets when frying the garlic. I also add some freshly cracked black pepper to the oil along with the red pepper flakes.
A long format cooking video would be weirdly revolutionary. Most cooking videos are only 10 or 15 minutes. A live cook like this or a podcast-like cooking experience might be very popular 👍
I'm a little late to the live feed but just want to say that is my family's go to meal. My Mom made it for us and I continue the tradition. We love it with Parmesan cheese and fresh black pepper. My dad loved to make the garlic crispy but we love whole garlic and lots of them. Served with fresh crusty homemade bread and oil. Love your channel keep the videos coming!
Wife sent me a text, “Burnt dinner” Told her we can go out or I can make garlic spaghetti. Had everything but the required parsley. Used what fresh parsley we had. This is a keeper. Thanks again Sonny and Marcus. This dude can cook. ;)
Really enjoyed this live session wish it was longer and you got to answer more questions. Suggestions: 1. Do a Q&A session while you cook/eat the food. pick some questions to engage with us. For example: what’s the story behind the fridge? 2. More Asian cuisine live session? Show us your stir fry skills! 3. Do longer sessions maybe on the weekends, definitely more people and more donations too. 4. Marcus needs to be more involved!! Do a series where you literally teach him how to cook something easy :) 5. Invite a local celebrity to come on and try your cooking during a live session. Lastly, just remember…. Your bald! lol Love you guys hope the channel gets more popular! You know we love you and we are out!
I love your cooking show so much Dude . You are a part of my life for years when it comes to extra ordiary dishes . The refrigerator is a must have and your trademark !
Budders worked for a couple of really good Italian chefs. One was an old man who had a restaurant for many years. He was from Northern Italy, and was known for the best fried Calamari. His secret was to slice the calamari and put it in a brine for 24 hours. When fried with a light flower, it is some of the best calamari ever. Why is it so good? Because the brine penetrates the flesh and seasons it, and also denatures the proteins.
My first mother-in-law taught me to make this. All her legit Italian recipes were better than any Italian restaurants ever!!!! She was awesome, her son not so much. Thanks for the live, Sonny and Marcus! ❤️
I was a few hours late for the live, but I love what I've seen. Can't wait for more live. This is one of my top 3 channels on YT, so please keep the regular videos coming, along with some live stuff too.
This is one of the best things that I’ve seen. i’ve been following for a while and love your recipes and videos. You guys are hilarious and the live feed suits you! Keep it up!
I didn't get to see you live, but I did watch the replay. Reminds me of Emeril going live back in '97. It's great to see real cooking again, and I can't wait for the next one!
He's been contributing more and more lately (last few months) and it's good...I don't know what Marcus wants or needs but I hope Sonny keeps him happy😊
yo marcus goin craz with those camera angles! well done sir! love the live stream that was a lot of fun. i feel like a salsa verde could be a good quick recipe as well
Oh man I’m sorry I missed the live, guys. Sonny you have really REALLY stepped up my chef game. I own a micro plane and there’s always shallots in the house now
Look at those viewer numbers! I never miss a single episode of you Dude! This will be the first channel that I turn on the notifications now that you are doing live. Thanks Sonny and Marcus!
I've been watching for a while. I know long form is your passion but short form was your success. I'm glad to see you trying to make long form work again
Sad that I missed this stream 😢 I just discovered your channel a couple months ago and I have gone through almost every video on the channel and I gotta say you inspire me to want to pursue a TH-cam cooking channel 👊😎 thank you for all your content 🙏
Great Pilot! You easily fill the air and run a good show at a good pace. Maybe Mic Marcus? Dig the quick cuts to the stove, it’s repartee-! Love your stuff, and the experimentation.
SUGGESTION FOR NEXT: Sonny special perfect pan seared chicken breast, a starch of choice (so long as it's potatoes), and a vegetable. Basic 3 course meal for 2.
Please keep doing this. This could be a cheap college meal deal or even a Wednesday quick stuff is going on but we need a 45 minute dinner. Thanks for showing reality. College meals or Wednesday nights quick eats.
I would love to see you live cook something with red meat. So many cooking shows skip over the "keep your hands and work area clean", and those of us at home have no idea what happens between handling the ground beef (or pork chop or whatever), and the final product.
Sonny. Love your channel. Sorry I missed the live feed but I would love to see linguini in white clam sauce. Keep up the great work! Give your fridge a hit for me.
Thanks for joining our first-ever live cooking session!! Marcus and I had an absolute blast and are very much looking forward to the next one! Cheers and HAPPY COOKING!! p.s. recipe for the pasta is in the description.
Jesus loves you and may God bless you ..
Missed you this time, but not missing you next time 😅
Gotta admit you are a great cook/chef as well as funny as hell. Can't tell ya how much I enjoy your show.
Hate I missed the live! Hopefully, I'll catch your 2nd one. Ya'll keep being amazing! ❤
What's the name of this dish when it has walnuts, anchovies, and black olives?

PS. Honesty with viewers is integral.
Agree way more real to follow along. Ingredients needed and follow along. ✔️💯👌😉🙏
Didn't see it live, but watched the replay. Great work guys, first live fridge attack was awesome
I love these lives so I can see how long stuff actually takes to cook.. The chemistry and banter between you and Marcus is absolutely priceless.. I'm hopefully gonna catch the next one live..
I love this. Felt like I was in the room with you man. Good vibes all around.
That’s the vibe we’re after! Thanks for being here

I'd like to see him dare attempt a Japanese omelette haha

@CustardCream33 You have to watch the Matty Matheson video where he tries making omurice, you’ll laugh your ass off
@@Sniperboy5551 seen it, it's brilliant. Love the guy 😂

I do appreciate easy money saving recipes. Especially that I especially can't stand on my feet very long due to Arthritis

I struggle a lot cooking. No cut video are great, being live is a great way to do no cut cooking
Absolutely wondered if there would be a final fridge battle and you didn’t disappoint. Love this channel

Got introduced to this recipe years ago on your channel and it quickly became a family favourite.
I have cooked this dish. It is awesome and I highly recommend it to anyone. It is a flavor bomb. Well done on the cook my brother. It looks amazing!
An ABSOLUTE success. Thank you guys! Had a really great time seeing you.
I WAS HERE FOR HISTORY TODAY! Thanks errrrrbody it was fun
its great fun!
I missed the live chat but love your videos. I love watching you cook. Great Chef
When returning from family excursion's , no matter by train, plane or car. This was our welcome home meal.
I was a few hours late for the live, but I love what I've seen. Can't wait for more live. This is one of my top 3 channels on YT, so please keep the regular videos coming, along with some live stuff too.
My grandmother use to make this all the time in the lent times because of being catholic
She would fry anchovies with the oil and garlic
Don't give up on the dishes from different states! I've made the gumbo a few times and friends have loved it!
That was really fun. Add them to the mix, but keep the high production for the more complicated dishes. I like those too.
This is one of the best things that I’ve seen. i’ve been following for a while and love your recipes and videos. You guys are hilarious and the live feed suits you! Keep it up!
Have done this recipe while in college with Parmesan cheese. Have refined it to using chicken broth and making a creamy sauce.
Love the live format! Great to see real time cooking.
Great job on your first live event! I missed it but am watching it now. I think this will be a perfect format for you.
I didn't get to see you live, but I did watch the replay. Reminds me of Emeril going live back in '97. It's great to see real cooking again, and I can't wait for the next one!
This is fun. I like the winging it part of filming. It is more authentic and makes it interesting.
Fun stuff. I thought you both came off very likable . You made the dish look easy and explaining the why you do each part made it all make sense.

Hey Sonny! I missed it live (this time) but I quite like this live format as something different and interesting. Keep up the good work!
Best live video I’ve ever seen! Honestly, superbly done👏🏻👍🏻✌🏻🤙🏻
These spaghetti are just incredible, tasty and attractive, mouthwatering, thanks for the video I'm happy
Your synergy is so cool to watch. Congrats on the first live. You are naturally entertaining, Sonny
Glad I found your channel
I love pasta dishes, and that looks amazing.
LOL, that might have been the best fridge attack!
I enjoyed the live. I'm looking forward to more. Thanks for the education / entertainment!
great job! Loved the quick stove shots by Marcus when the burner was left on😂

okay, the improvised live fridge attack at the end was awesome!
Awesome job guys. Thank you once again for another simple amazing recipe.

An adjustable truffle slicer works fantastic for cutting super thin garlic, just watch your fingers.👍

LOVE your videos. This one was a treat! You need to repeat the questions. We can't always hear Marcus clearly.
Really appreciate the live format to gauge how long cooking really takes. Great to hear the “production” banter! More, please!
Those final looks of contempt to Marcus at the end! Hilarious stuff lads! Marcus was awsome!
This is awesome man and preemptive grats on 2 mil!
Spaghetti Assassina would be a fun one. I made it the other day and it was delicious.
Loving the grey cabinets, btw

Give your fridge a hit for me.
I love that you’re doing this. You are awesome!!
I'm watching now. I wish I was around when you were live. Love you guys. Y'all rock
The first time I had this dish was at an Italian restaurant in a small town in the woods north of Montreal. It was a revelation.
You guys are Rad!!!! You have taken my cooking skills to the next level!! I have done so many of your recipes.
Great pasta water tips!
Love the fridge attack. I have a copier I need to send you SO BAD!!! Great show, sorry I missed it live!
Loved this so much! If I had some notice that you were going live i definitely would have made sure to block the time out for it!
I just started "don't use the strainer". It is good for the soul. Great video thank you!
absolutely entertaining af. this was really a great live feed. loved the fridge-kick-cam. hahaha well done dudes
I love this and hope you do more of these live sessions.
