Thanks for trying my suggestion of balsamic reduction/vanilla ice cream! We served this where I work for a long time. It was a hit with most customers who were willing to try it.
My wife owns a bakery and during the fall the most popular pie she makes is cheddar apple but instead of a slice of cheddar on top she shreds sharp white cheddar into the dough so you get little pockets of saltiness and cheddary goodness in every bite 😋
Right, why not do it with "ethnic" foods from around the globe, like big ol' grubs, crickets, fruit bats, goat brains, and other "delectable goodies"! ;D LOL
My daughter and I have been watching your videos together for over a year and we love you guys. She is giving a snack recipe that is her favorite: Ruffle sandwich with Feta Cheese filling (literally two ruffles as buns and feta inside). She is 9 and loves it! Keep it up, Sonny and Marcus. You’re the best!
We need a sequel to this video.... Doritos with veggie cream cheese. A double smashed cheeseburger with bacon with a glazed donut bun. Instant ramen with American cheese. Cuttlefish jerky with Tabasco sauce. I can on & on...lolz😂
They didn't make the joke, but every time they said "hot chocolate and oaxaca cheese", my brain said "hot chocolate and hawk tauh cheese" The internet has ruined my once innocent mind 😅
Peanuts in your Coke is an old Country thing. I did it when I was a kid. Barbara Mandrel mentioned it in "I Was Country When Country Wasn’t Cool". Pepsi and milk, commonly referred to as “Pilk,” has a rich history dating back to the 1970s sitcom “Laverne & Shirley.” The show’s character Laverne DeFazio, played by Penny Marshall, frequently consumed Pepsi mixed with milk, often referring to it as “milk and Pepsi.” In regards to ice cream and crackers, try ice cream and pretzel chunks. Blue Bell had a flavor called sweet and salty crunch that was milk chocolate covered pretzel pieces in vanilla ice cream and it was fire.
Marcus was the star of this video. You could feel how angry he was with the pineapple and anchovy. Back and forth across the kitchen looking for a garbage can and/or something to break. 😂 Double bingo boy boy boy yip yip yip yoi yoi yoi - Ethan is pretty great.
The OJ, coffee creamer and 7-up is very similar to a drink called an Orange Julius that was made by a popular mall kiosk chain in Canada - they used fresh squeezed OJ, a big scoop of their secret ingredient - which was just sweetened powdered coffee creamer, and chipped ice, topped up with soda water. It was a favorite treat.
This is one of the most entertaining 20min videos I’ve seen in a long time. You guys are great and should do more videos like this where your interactions with each other are the focus
okay, I'm going to go make that Eggo/7-Up/OJ drink. That being said....one of my favorite things to eat is getting some good quality pita bread (the ones with the space inside...not the bready flat kinds), and you put Prego Spaghetti sauce on it, add big chunks of mushrooms (not the sliced ones...the whole button ones in a jar), cover with some mozzarella and sometimes a little crumbles of goat cheese. It's SUCH a good pizza, even though it's spaghetti sauce. The pita crisps up, and the outer edges of the pita that have spaghetti sauce caramelize into a sticky delicious edge. Highly recommend!
I'm not sure what kind of Eggo stuff that is. I'm not familiar with Eggo products at all. Is it the 40 proof "Eggo™ Brunch in a Jar Waffles & Syrup Sippin' Cream"?
Anyone else does this video and I turn it off in less than 60 seconds. These dudes do it, and happily watch to the very end with several LOL moments. Great job, guys!
One of my childhood favorites was this: freshly made white rice put in a bowl, then add some mayo and soy sauce. Then break up some nori and/or furikake. Then mix it all up together. So good.
If you do another one of these, you need to do a sandwich: Whole wheat or granary bread, peanut butter, shredded cheddar cheese, cranberry jelly and banana. So good.
Sounds good, except for the bread; these are supposed to be "crap alternatives" to real food!! You know, stuff that drunks and druggies concoct, whilst they are stoned!! LOL ;D
A weird one my mom's side of the family always enjoyed was a sweet pickle wrapped in a piece of salami, sometimes added cream cheese. I still eat them and now my wife loves them!
I gotta say about the ramen noodles with butter and ketchup - when you're hardcore broke and crave a little variety...yeah, ramen, butter and ketchup. Or anything else in the cupboard. You make do. There's things I love because I grew up with them, but I know that they're "what you can afford" food. So thanks, awesome video!
Try pepperoni and cashew pizza. It's delicious since the cashews cook and release their oils and soften up, and the cashews actually turn semi-sweet. Try to find the low-sodium cashews though. My parents made this when I was growing up, they said they found it somewhere in California, I assume around San Diego. It's great!
A bowl of old fashioned oats made with skim milk, a pinch of salt and three types of hot pepper flakes. Then add chunky peanut butter and raw honey. It’s sweet, savory and spicy - so good.
Real talk, when his wife came in, I was shocked. All this time I thought that him and Marcus were... you know. I didn't know that he was married. This just make me want to watch more of his videos to see what he cooks for his wife.
One recipe me and some friends would do when I was a junior in high school was a bologna and cheese sandwich with a good amount of Italian dressing poured on both sides of the bread slices (not too much that they became soggy), then microwaved till the cheese (we used either American or cheddar) was fully melted. It smelled pretty weird, but tasted really good. And yes. We were stoned.
Okay my wife and I tried the orange juice 7up and creamer. We couldn't find the Eggo stuff so we subbed Italian sweet cream because that was the only one they had that kinda made sense. Holy crap that's good!!
I grew up on coke and peanuts and I've never seen someone use a glass. The logic is that in my great grandpa's generation when you had a long walk to and from school or work, you could buy a packet of peanuts and a glass bottle coke for not much money. Then you take a sip or two and fill the space with the nuts. After a minute or two the flavors meld and you can get a few peanuts in your mouth to crunch on with each swig, and you can walk along and have a salty sweet treat without needing to stop to eat. My gramps taught me about it and I've carried it into adulthood.
Same here- never seen it drank from a glass or cup. We’d buy a glass bottled Coke preferably or plastic bottle if that was all they had & empty the pack of salted peanuts in there. Every now & then we’d get a pack of the hot peanuts for something different, but that was mostly done by the ole men lol
I suggested apple pie with cheddar to a guest at a kitchen I worked in years ago and he was so vocal in his praise that I ended up selling almost ten more on the spot. Killer combination. Also, vanilla ice cream with a good olive oil and maldon salt!
German Sausage Sandwich: Rye or white bread, grape jelly, german sausage cooked and cut into discs, then mustard. You can also use blackberry jam or jelly if prefered.
Used to have a work colleague have microwave fried rice, sweet chilli sauce and mozzarella! He had it regularly and insisted it was amazing. If you do a sequel to this video please try this as I definitely don't want to haha!
In times when food costs are twice as much as just a year ago, we engage in exercises such as this one. 😂 Absolutely love it! I must try the watermelon/cinnamon combo! 💕💕
Okay, you did the Coca-Cola and peanut thing wrong. I grew up in Alabama in the 1970s and saw many adults do it this way - you drink a cold Coke out of a glass bottle and you drop a few peanuts into the bottle and add more as you drink it. Even as a kid, I thought it was weird but not bad. I've never seen anyone pour it into a glass and add peanuts.
This was one of the funniest videos I have seen. I tended to agree with Marcus, his facial expressions were classic as were his visceral food reviews. You both, and Sonny's wife, should be commended for even trying many of these abominations.
A lot of this stuff is high/drunk snacks. The apple pie with cheddar is actually a regional thing. The OJ, 7up and coffee creamer is basically an Orange Julius - that was the same thing they were shooting for with the OJ and milk.
Weird snack we had was Saltines and Helman's... You obviously need to like mayo... Also good with sliced tomato and or a little potted meat. Another was Cashews and raisins. The only way I like Candy Corn is with Cocktail Peanuts - Just like a Payday candybar! The only way I'll have ketchup with my fries is with Tabasco added to it.
11:25 It's better/easier if you use bottled Coke, lol. It's an old-school southern thing, my parents did it all the time when there were only glass bottles of Coke (and any other soda, because plastic bottles weren't invented yet).
You know what isn’t cursed? Rice (obviously with butter and salt) with a bit of ketchup on top. I kind of discovered that on my own as a kid, I still love it. I hope you try it in your next video!
Everytime I go to this one coffee shop near me I order the orange espresso tonic and I love it--in a really weird way--but every time, the baristas look at me like I just ordered the water from the bottom of the compost bin.
You have to spread the peanut butter thin on the bottom bun, good mayo on the top bun for the burger. Definitely even better with sweet pickled jalapenos and bacon.
As a Bostonian I say CapeCod potato chips and homemade tollhouse chocolate chip cookies I'm saying this because they both were invited in Massachusetts MAKE A PART 2 SONNY!
Anything crunchy and salty with ice cream is solid...particularly pretzels, etc. Pretzel chips laid over an ice cream cake can add a wonderful crunch factor, etc.
You gotta add Coca Cola to your Orange Juice and Milk drink! Also a touch of vanilla extract. And frozen orange juice concentrate + additional ice in a blender is the best because it can basically be a shake.
Chilly con carne+sugar(a spoon full)+a hot sauce with Madame Jeanette(to your liking) is good, but a simple thing to do is just putting sugar(if you like sugar 2 teaspoonfuls)+toast. We call it a "Avelino"❤❤
👍🏻 My personal combos .. ⭐ Toasted: egg (fried), cheese (cheddar, gouda), and Pecks Anchovette or Redro (fish paste, think mashed sardines and anchovies). ⭐ Toasted: chicken mayo, cheese, and chutney (Mrs Balls peach chutney). ⭐ Toasted: bacon (fried), banana (fresh, slices), and brinjal (fried, and seasoned with Worcestershire sauce). ⭐ Swiss muesli with milk and 5-7 drops of bitter almond extract per portion, plus optional sweetener. ⭐ Popcorn with butter, salt, and powdered cloves (instead of black pepper) ⭐ Fresh crisp lettuce dabbed with Bovril (similar to Marmite, but better. Like thick spreadable beef bouillon. Used to be made from ox blood, but now they use nutritional yeast)
@@beckycaughel7557 Thanks! Yes, it works particularly well if the muesli includes dried apple, apricot, or cherries, because their seed kernels or young shoots naturally taste of bitter almonds.
vanilla ice cream with crushed korean red chili flakes, a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of sea salt is more delicious than you would ever expect.
I've always liked a sour thick cut hamburger dill on a ritz with peanut butter. I've also seen Ritz, peanut butter, cucumber slice, and sweet chili sauce.
One of my favourite weird combos is McDonald's fries dipped in a chocolate sundae. It has to be the chocolate sundae. It's surprising how many people I've heard do this too! My mum's favourite weird combo is a vegemite, cheese and lettuce sandwich. Marmite, that's for amateurs!
Wish I would have know about this sooner. But that being said, make a grilled cheese sandwich but use waffles instead of bread and drizzle with maple syrup. Another one you may consider is watermelon with Old Bay seasoning.
Marcus...i said oj and milk would make you sick to your stomach not kill you! Lol.. .and i was surprised you remembered the apple pie and cheese combo..grandma used to tell you "apple pie without cheese is like a hug without a squeeze". Heres 2 more to try...oreos with regular potato chips and saltines with butter and strawberry jam. Yum. Great episode btw! Love , Mom ❤
Ham sandwich, mayo, pickles, and Doritos. I use spicy. Toasted cheese sandwich with grape jelly. Fried catfish with brown gravy. Vanilla ice cream with cinnamon sugar. Use condensed milk with coke or OJ instead of regular milk.

The apple pie and cheddar has been around for a very long time. I grew up knowing it as a Vermont apple pie. It’s pretty classic in New England

Glad you chose my suggestion. I’m sure there were several that mentioned the same. Cheddar cheese on apple pie. 😊
Hummus and dorito sandwiches were my go to in high school. Best use of dorito in a weird combo.
Miracle whipe, canned tuna and a pinch of cinnamon in a sandwich. Surprisingly good
Bro you gotta try pear salad. Canned pear halves with a dollop of mayo(don’t over do it) sprinkled with shredded cheddar cheese.
18:14: "...someone might have been trolling us"
18:18 "I like it" "THAT'S DELICIOUS"
i DIED.
