I'm going to definitely steal these activities for my future clinics. I love the stressed points, like the whistle tone(foul coming out versus a PK) or the hand to call a PK, explaining why. I would also throw a curve ball, like telling the center privately to ignore the drop, so the AR has to bring the center's attention up. The run at the end is fun, but can be dangerous without a proper warm up.
Hello - thank you for your question. Can you please clarify? Which part of the video/session are you inquiring about? For general reference, please see the 2021-2022 Laws of the Game (pages 197-201) which detail Assistant Referee communication practice: downloads.theifab.com/downloads/laws-of-the-game-2021-22?l=en .
This is brilliant! Will use some of these drills on our local assistant referees in Bergen, Norway!
Amazing drill. Genius, Joe!

They were so worried at the drill in the beginning about making the wrong call - that they whiffed on the whistle which was the easiest

Hey Fletch! Why don't you put the cones in a circle instead of a square, that way they don't have to keep stopping and turning. Looking good though! 😄

Ok. This is a silly exercise. Who comes up with this?
