@@BobandBradThat's great! Have a good Easter, all of you at Bob & Brad and to your families, and thank you for providing us with the help many of us wouldn't otherwise get (and some of us wish they had found it much, much sooner, so now sharing with just about anyone so that at least their unnecessary pain could be prevented).
I became a pilates reformer teacher at 63, after several years as a pilates practitioner. I bought my own reformer and began doing 3 to 4 sessions a week. I've had kyphosis in the upper thoracic spine and I've been working on stretching my pecs (scarring and implants after mastectomy) and strengthening my back muscles as well as delts and rotator cuff muscles. I also teach extension as much as possible as a teacher, as well as mobility and strength building in shoulders, hips and abs. I also like laying on the Balanced Body "Oov" which works like your posture wedge. It feels great to place my spine along the Oov. Also, the abdominals need to be strengthened too, and that will help with holding the improved spine in neutral alignment. Great video. I'm going to bring our dowel rod into the classroom using the "W" movement.
I am 69 , tall with a long neck. Being a pianist all my life slouching was my bad habit. I am currently going through all these kinds of exercises with a PT. But it is important to realize that years of slouching will not be reversed in just a few weeks. Got to do this multiple times a day to counteract forward bending.
I noticed sitting in my car does a really bad thing to my posture so I'm trying a new position with the back more straight up. It's helped my neck pain.
Keep up the stretches! The Hallejiuah stretch is a great one to continue to not to revert back to bad posture. Being aware of your posture is another great way to stay on track.
Well I ll tell, if I go down to the floor, I’ll be staying there because I won’t be able to get up! lol. But I will to the upright exercises because I have a slouched back!

Good posture solutions *****
That wedge pillow looks good.
Great exercises....I use a thinner pillow under my back in that position to sleep many times.

Gr8 vid 👍 I have Osteophytes in the upper spine ... would these exercises be helpful at all? Thanks!
Spinal Spondelthesism pains may be tempoarily relieved by my bending slightly forward, from the waste/hips region, while keeping the back straight.
how to keep posture good once it’s fixed??

Are there exercises that help with camptocormia?
I have added this to our to do list!
❤❤❤
Thank you for watching!
Don’t let the old man in. Don’t slouch, stand and sit-up straight.
It's not just about letting the old man in, it'll help prevent a lot of other pains caused by bad posture! No sense in living with pain!
👍
Thanks for watching!

Are your heels up against the wall too?
Do not start with a foam roller!!!! If you are that tight start with a small towel roll.
Thanks!
Brad is a bit loud in this video - maybe mic problem
Thanks for the feedback!
Just adjusted my hearing aids.
