What a wonderful video! Truly enjoyed watching. Hope you do more. I love all the projects you showed. I have not been on Instagram. But, I will so that I can see other things you have done. You are a natural on screen. My computer had a meltdown in the middle of watching. I was hopping up and down having fits until I was able to get your video again. :) So glad I did - what beautiful work you do. Thank you for sharing.
What a beautiful and endearing young woman you are! You have so many lovely pieces completed and they are all so perfectly stitched. You wouldn’t know me, as I’m an old lady and not in the cool kids club, but your sweetness and kind nature really spoke to my heart. I do hope you do another video - I’ll be watching ❤ You DO deserve joy and stitching and connecting with others brings me much joy and I know you will find much joy sharing as you are. Have a great week!
Are you kidding, of course I know you! I watch all of your updates and, of course, your tutorials are amazing and my go-to reference for finishing ideas (for when I eventually get around to it). Thank you so much for the kind words, you have inspired me so much and I'm so glad we can connect through our hobby ❤️
Welcome Abby! I'm glad you stepped outside of your comfort zone. I love seeing younger people enjoy cross stitching! As far as the raven piece, I think the 1 strand looks good on that fabric. We share the same taste in projects. I have The Bookshelf but have yet to start it! 😊
So glad you decided to have your own floss tube. Your projects are lovely and beautifully stitched. I am 80 and have been stitching for 44years. I love seeing young people loving this craft. Will love following you and seeing you wonderful stitching.
So enjoyed watching your first video this morning… good job!! So fresh…I wish I had learned to cross stitch earlier than I did… I learned in the 80’s used to make gifts for EVERYONE in my family… then I stopped for awhile to try my hand at scrapbooking… just picked cross stitching back up again recently and am loving it… I just want to stitch everything I see!! BTW… I LOVE your red hair… my daughter is a red head… soooo… I’m a little partial…
Cute first flosstube. Welcome to the community. I hope you find other stitchers to connect with and share the joy of this hobby with. I look forward to watching more and seeing where your journey takes you Abby. Waving hi from Northern Ireland.😊
Abby, I thoroughly enjoyed watching your flosstube. You have a nice variety of pieces you are working on /completed. I can’t wait until your next episode pops up!
Way to go, Abby! I enjoyed watching your video and am so happy to see younger people cross stitching. My daughter is turning 25 and she also stitches. I forwarded your video to her so she would know she’s not the only younger person in this community! Looking forward to seeing another video from you. ❤️
I like your raven and the one over two gives it a bit of a prim look which looks awesome with that fabric. When I have a project I start to hate - for any reason - I set a time and stitch it for no more than thirty minutes and then go on to something I enjoy stitching more. Those small bites of time do add up.
Abby, your Flosstube was so cute that it made me a bit teary eyed. It’s refreshing to see young cross stitchers. You are doing what makes you happy and that’s amazing!! I subscribed and I look forward to your next Flosstube!
Bonjour de Paris, France ! 🇫🇷 j’ai beaucoup apprécié tes projets nous avons des goûts similaires. Reviens parce que c’est vraiment agréable de t’écouter et te regarder et voir ce que tu partages. ❤❤❤
Wonderful First Flosstube. You love the same type of projects I do; I can't wait to see more of your progress. Being a senior citizen on a fixed income, I am right there with you on being thrifty with my purchases! Looking forward to your next video.💌💌
I can’t wait to see you come into your own on flosstube! I think that raven definitely needs to be put in timeout untill it’s easier to think about/ plan your next steps for- no point forcing yourself to work on her!
Wow ! Your work is amazing and that you’re young and in college and new to stitching is just so amazing that you have accomplished so much and tried so many things! Like dyeing fabrics, using silks, using so many different fabric counts oh my goodness! Congratulations on your first Flosstube and I hope to see more! So glad you popped up in my feed ! Yes I liked and subscribed !❤️😊 Hope to see you soon !
Good for you! Great first flosstube..wonderful projects and I have a lot of the same tastes in the patterns you showed. Also really like the fabrics you dyed yourself so if you ever want to share your dyeing techniques that would be fun. Off to watch episode 2 and I really hope you’ll continue. Suzette
Hello Abby, you are doing a great job. Your stitching is very beautiful . I live in St. Louis, Missouri and have been stitching since the late 80's. Life took over and haven't cross stitched in a long time. I also quilt, hand embroidery, crochet, garden and love to cook. I was with my husband for 48 years and he passed away in 2020. I was so lost and one day around 2:30 am. I found floss tube and have been stitching every since. Love it. Glad to see the younger generation picking it up as well. You go girl. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.
Hi from Louisiana, Abby!!! I am SO happy you decided to make a FlossTube! You are totally natural, which is wonderful, and your projects are so varied, and fun, and beautiful, too! I was so delighted when you held up Summer Quaker…it’s so gorgeous, and so is your stitching. Girl, if that Raven pattern is giving you the blues, just put it aside for a while. It may be that the fabric weave is just too loose and floppy, and hard to stitch on. Given some time, you may decide to try it again on a completely different fabric. Don’t stress yourself, stitching is our therapy and our joy! ☺️ I am a process stitcher also. I love that you dye so many of your fabrics, and your project bags you made are precious! Please do continue to share your calm, sweet spirit with us again soon. I look forward to getting to know you better. 🩷 Happy stitching till we meet again! Meline
Hi Abby! You’re first flosstube was great! Your stitching is awesome and I really like your style. I hope you do more flosstubes as it’s so nice to see a young fresh face in this super community. Your sewing bags are beautiful. You must be so proud of your accomplishments. You should be. You’re so sweet. Hope to see you soon. 💖
Abby! You have a GREAT start. I’m so impressed with you and your ability to put yourself out there. Please keep at it. This community is exactly for you and we love watching people like you. Your work is BEAUTIFUL. I started stitching when I was about 9 years old and love seeing young girls like you starting early on your life with sewing in any way. You have chosen such beautiful patterns and they’ll be with you forever. Love that you’re thrifting for supplies… it’s a great way to stay within a budget and continue this great craft. I 100% think that somewhere in the future you will be designing and we’ll all be stitching them. And other floss tubers will be spotlighting your designs. The Hathaway Stitchers are one of my favorites, too! They crack me up! Keep going! Can’t wait to see your 2nd video and get to know you better over time. Oh!! And I had NO idea that Teenie Weenie is a birth sampler! What!? Who knew?! I have considered stitching it because it’s just too adorable.
Thank you so much, you're too kind! I'd love to make a pattern one day, we'll see! Also, right?! But Teenie Weenie is too cute to not stitch regardless haha
What a great start to your channel Abby! I love how mindful you are about not overbuying - considering cost over want and only buying what you can or will stitch in the near future- I think that is a great attitude! Keep the videos coming :)
Kudos on your first video! I’m glad you put yourself out there. Your stitching is lovely and I like your pattern choices. Soon you’ll have more cross stitch friends than you’ll know what to do with. Looking forward to #2 whenever you’re ready. 💕
Such great stitching and projects. So glad you joined the floss tube community and just had to click on the video, you are almost an exact likeness of my youngest Granddaughter. Good luck and happy stitching 🧵🪡🥰
You’re so right about the year in the woods pieces. They are way more stitching than they look! I’ve done the three winter animals and am now working on the spring… I’ve done the jackrabbit and am working on the raccoon!
Welcome to floss tube! I thoroughly enjoyed seeing your projects. I look forward to your next video and you introduced me to a few new ones to watch. By the way, your stitching is beautiful!
Great first video! Your stitching is amazing. Hope you keep showing us what you are stitching. I am a thrift shopper too! No local stores near me either.
So happy to have found your channel, have the best time stitching and hope to see you back soon with your lovely stitching everything is up my alley. thank you for sharing happy stitching.
Hi Abby! Your flosstube is great. I hope you continue to make videos and keep up your great work at cross stitching! I was shocked when you said Teenie Weenie was a birth sampler! I never thought of it that way! My daughter has several of the Plum Street patterns of weenies…(she owns 3 weenies). Anyway they are cute patterns. You are adorable and thankful there are young ladies like you that like cross stitching!
I've just discovered your Flosstube and I love the projects you're stitching on and your project bags. I love samplers and that kind of designs too 🥰 Happy stitching!
Great job on your first flosstube, Abby! I love to see young people carrying on with the textile arts. Your stitching is great, but I also want to commend you on your sewing as well. I believe you mentioned you are new to sewing, and project bags are not the easiest projects for beginners. You did wonderfully! Carry on girl! 🎉😂
Loved you and your floss tube. Your sense of humor is fun and your projects are so nice. I really didn't start stitching until 2 years ago. My mom use to cross stitch but I was too busy working and raising a family. Working from a paper chart was impossible for me. Right before I started stitching I tried embroidery because my by-then adult daughter said, let's give it a try. I disliked it for all the reasons you do. Then she said let's try cross stitch and now that we have pdf's, the world opened up for me. I think we are stitching sisters as far as just give me a pattern and tell me where to put the stitches. I like being told where to put each stitch, what each color should be, etc. Lugana is the best fabric for me. So as one stitching sister to the other, I LOVE Markup Rxp. There is definitely a learning curve but I have found it so worthwhile. I'm not sure about how well it takes importing a photo but they have a Facebook page and a TH-cam channel with lots of info so you could check it out ahead of time. Plus you can try the app for free for a short time. And yes, the Lila Studio Quakers. I was watching you as I started the Autumn one. (Want to stitch it with me?) My summer and spring Quakers are started and waiting for me too. Looking forward to your next video.
I decided to buy Markup Rxp and i'm really liking it so far! It's difficult to import photos but its amazing for PDFs (because I also prefer using them). Thank you so much ❤️
So glad I came across your channel. Love all your projects and yes, you should go ahead and start the autumn quaker. Tis the season. Thanks for sharing. I look forward to watching more videos
Great first Flosstube Abby, I’m sorry to hear you were at school when Covid happened, must have been very tough, I was halfway through a masters degree (albeit as a much maturer student). I have a project bag from an Etsy seller in the UK with the same woodland animal fabric, I love it. I’ve also stitched Oct 31 1 over 2 on 36 count and felt it was very thin coverage on the darker parts but now it’s done I really like it, I say keep going. I and am currently working on a Prairie Schooler sampler called November but there are so many others I’d like to stitch including the one you are working on. I love your magazine holder for your WIP bags, I’ve been on the lookout for something similar. I follow all your recommendations for Flosstube, you will love The Thread Gremlins if you don’t follow them already. I am also very thrifty where possible, today in fact I purchased a wooden frame for a finish and two cross stitch books for £6. 💗
Thank you so much! I think i'll put Oct 31 to the side for a bit but I want to come back to it some day. Prairie Schooler has so many great patterns, I'd stitch them all if I could! I also watch the Thread Gremlins, they're so fun! And that's awesome, its so rewarding to find supplies at the thrift store. ❤️
Hello Abby! Welcome to Flosstube❤ I really enjoyed seeing your projects. That raccoon is amazing. I’d like to stitch the jackrabbit and the fox in the series. We have some huge jackrabbits here in New Mexico. Look forward to seeing your next video.
Congratulations on your 1st Flosstube video. You are a very calming person to listen to. Love your finishes and WIPS. You do you no apologies life is too short to keep yourself from doing what you want. If you think it will make you happy do it. And, if it does keep doing it. Hope to see more from you have a great rest of your weekend and, upcoming week. 😊
Abby, you are so cute. Love your hair. Your choices in patterns are great. You did such a great job on your flosstube. It is good to know you are being careful with what you buy. I really do need to get rid of some of my cross stitch stuff and fabric from quilting. Good luck.
Oh I get it- I live in Milwaukee and I’m pretty sure I can’t sleep without sirens 😂 Love your projects and agree- those yearly cottage gardens are no joke! I have the bat kitted up but it’s daunting!
Haha I guess its the price we pay for living in the city!! Thank you so much, they are daunting but so worth it because they're adorable! You should definitely start the bat, its on my list to do :)
Yessss! I'm so glad you decided to go for it and start your channel! And I really hope you continue because your taste is flawless and your stitching and bags are gorgeous. Welcome to Flosstube!
Welcome to flosstube! I LOVE #1's!! Cross stitch and reading r my 2 passions, too! I enjoy psych thrillers and horror, and the occasional hostorical fiction type book. The bags u made r super cute! Love the projects u have going! Happy stitching 🐈⬛🪡❤️
Hello from Friendly Manitoba! What a great 1st Flosstube Abby, congratulations! Your finished projects are beautiful and I love all your WIPS. I have Spring Quaker all kitted up and am looking forward to starting it. I am currently stitching The Fox from Cottage Garden Samplings. Looking forward to seeing more videos from you 😊. Oh, and great project bags!
Oh…. one more thing….. put that raven aside… for a month, 6 months, a year, a few years… just don’t get rid of it! It’s stunning. I have had projects that I’ve ‘retired’ and then went back and jumped right back into them (I’ve been stitching for about 50 years; it happens!). I think you’ll find a time when you’ll love stitching on it again. You’ll know when!!
Good for you! I’m trying to build up the nerve to make one too! I clicked on you because I was stitching on my owl too when I saw your video pop up… love it! Thanks for sharing ❤
You should absolutely just go for it! I was also nervous but it ended up being so much fun and also a great way to connect with others, I'd definitely watch if you started :) Thank you so much ❤️
Love love all your projects! And that basket you keep your WIPs in:😍 Thank you so much for the sweet shout out. Such a great video and can’t wait for the next episode!! 🎉
It’s wonderful seeing “ young folk” enjoying stitching! I was 20 when I started and am now 60! Beautiful stitching! I look forward to seeing more!🧡🤎🍁

WOW thank you! I struggled a bit with sewing in a straight line lol but it probably was a big first project, i'm glad they look ok 😂 ❤️
Great job. I like your stitching choices. I don’t stitch samplers so it’s good to see a floss tube that focuses on other things.

Your bags are so cute, I enjoyed your first video. Love your fabric choices.
Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed!! ❤️
Loved seeing you. Great job. I understand Finding others who enjoy what you enjoy.
Welcome to Flosstube! You did well. Love your stitches, thanks for sharing.
Abby, you are so cute. Love your hair. Your choices in patterns are great. You did such a great job on your flosstube. It is good to know you are being careful with what you buy. I really do need to get rid of some of my cross stitch stuff and fabric from quilting. Good luck.
Haha it can be hard to hold back from buying but I try my best 😉 thank you ❤️
Oh I get it- I live in Milwaukee and I’m pretty sure I can’t sleep without sirens 😂 Love your projects and agree- those yearly cottage gardens are no joke! I have the bat kitted up but it’s daunting!
Haha I guess its the price we pay for living in the city!! Thank you so much, they are daunting but so worth it because they're adorable! You should definitely start the bat, its on my list to do :)
Hello Abby ! Congrats on your first FlossTube !!! You are inspiring me as a fellow Canadian !
We’ve done a lot of the same patterns! I’m also working my way through the tiny towns 😊
I think you would enjoy the Sable Stitchers, Helen D., Laura from Stitching from the shore, Sew On Wednesday, Floss Bossin Cousins, Prime Rose Cottage

Yessss! I'm so glad you decided to go for it and start your channel! And I really hope you continue because your taste is flawless and your stitching and bags are gorgeous. Welcome to Flosstube!
I definitely think i will! Thank you for the love Jen!! ❤️
Wonderful job for a first FlossTube. I look forward to more.
Lots of great stitching! I love seeing all of your finishes and wips.
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed :)

You should absolutely just go for it! I was also nervous but it ended up being so much fun and also a great way to connect with others, I'd definitely watch if you started :) Thank you so much ❤️

Great job. I love monthly series.
So your taste in stitching is totally opposite from mine, but your words at the end really spoke to me and inspired me. That alone is worth a sub.
Thank you! I also watch other stitchers that have completely different taste haha sometimes its just about the VIBES 😂❤️
I think the mottled fabric is Vintage Country Mocha.
