Abby, you have mentioned several times about your hands hurting. When you can afford it, a Lowery stand or some other stand, will help with that. I had the same problem until I started using a stand.
Abby, I thoroughly enjoyed watching your flosstube. You have a nice variety of pieces you are working on /completed. I can’t wait until your next episode pops up!
.👍🪡
Hi Abby, I really enjoyed to watch your video! As you, I`m planning to stitch "For the love of nature" , it´s an adorable sampler! And I love cats too... I have a lot at home🤗
I like your raven and the one over two gives it a bit of a prim look which looks awesome with that fabric. When I have a project I start to hate - for any reason - I set a time and stitch it for no more than thirty minutes and then go on to something I enjoy stitching more. Those small bites of time do add up.
Cute first flosstube. Welcome to the community. I hope you find other stitchers to connect with and share the joy of this hobby with. I look forward to watching more and seeing where your journey takes you Abby. Waving hi from Northern Ireland.😊
Abby...loved #2 posting...thanks for sharing your beautiful stitching...best wishes ❤
Abby...it has been delightful watching you and all your beautiful projects...thanks for all you shared..best wishes ❤
A fun video!! Loved all your work :)
I would really like to see how you dye your own fabric it’s beautiful. I live in a Canada about 2 hours from, l also buy white Aida from Amazon to tea or coffee dye.
I am really enjoying your videos and would love to see a video showcasing your hand-dyeing process.
I love your work!
Good for you! Great first flosstube..wonderful projects and I have a lot of the same tastes in the patterns you showed. Also really like the fabrics you dyed yourself so if you ever want to share your dyeing techniques that would be fun. Off to watch episode 2 and I really hope you’ll continue. Suzette
Hi Abby from Newfoundland. Another great video, your finishes are lovely. Isn't ordering from Canada frustrating, shipping is ridiculous. Happy stitching.
Love you video, your finishes are very nice ❤
Great video! My name is also Abby, and I’m a 20 yr old cross stitcher! It’s great to see someone my age on flosstube!
Congratulations on your first flosstube I just uploaded my first flosstube yesterday.
Good job and I enjoyed your podcast. I am wondering if you would consider sharing your method of how to dye your cross stitch material in a future episode or is there a tutorial on TH-cam you would suggest? ❤️🇨🇦
What’s the name of the mushroom pattern on the brown fabric?
Hi from St. John's. A great first flosstube, you came across so calm and confident. Can't wait to watch more.
Have you tried audiobooks? They take some getting used to and you loose some of the detail because you can't be focused all the time, but I find it helps when I'm in a slump because you can just put one one while doing house work for example
I've so enjoyed watching you and hope you build a connection here with us crafters. I love to see a new generation of crafters ! I enjoy seeing what you choose to stitch., your colors, etc... I am amazed at your projects. I reside near the Canadian Border -Northern VT and hear of the shipping issues. Not sure if there is such a thing near you but we have places that US ship to (Bordering towns) and then Canadians drive down to cross into the US just a mile or so to get items and keep it under the limit to cross back. Will be looking for your next video !
Hi Abby! Great video! I would recommend a day retreat to start with. The weekends can be overwhelming but very worthwhile. Lovely projects! Take care! 🌸
I love your stitching, thank you for sharing.❤
Those finishes are amazing! barbara ana is one of my all time faves. I loved seeing all the fall projects!! 😊
Thank you Marjorie!! Barbara Ana is a genius, I really want to start a new one asap 😏
You're doing an awesome job stitching and your flosstubes are so real and genuine. You have found many friends in this community. Look forward to more beautiful pieces.
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it :)
Ive been in a reading slump myself...i LOVE horror n psych thriller; most that i have read lately have been meh n left me disappointed, but under this red rock by i think its mandy mcginnis was a pretty good quick read! And i liked the series from nadine Matheson! Buying fabrics is SO much fun. I wish i had an lns near me that sold all the awesome hand dyed stuff cuz id love to look at em in person cuz its hard buying them online! Especially when the pics end up being so different than what u think ur getting. And they can get quite pricey so its hard for me to buy a fabric if im not 100% sure of what im getting and that i have something lined up to use it for! Happy stitching 🐈⬛🪡❤️
Ouu i'll look into those books! And I totally agree, having an LNS with hand-dyed fabric would be amazing!! The colours can vary so much so its almost impossible to know what you're going to get haha.
Coming from an old stitcher I love your honesty it’s helpful. Going to look into Theresa koguts pattern you liked. I wouldn’t have thought of that pretty buttermilk 20 ct.
Thank you so much!! ❤
Beautiful finishes! ❤ Your wips are beautiful, too.
Thank you so much!!
This was the first video of yours I've watched. I really enjoyed it and your projects. Excited to see your next one. 😊
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed!! ❤
Hi Abby, I’ve just found your videos. Welcome to FlossTube! I jumped in earlier this year and everyone has been so kind. I have a fabric obsession, too. Mine is for hand dyed linen. I love all the colors, the textures, it’s all so beautiful! Happy stitching. 🧵 🪡 😊
Thank you so much Jackie, I love your videos :) Hand-dyed linen is just the best!!!
What a wonderful video! Truly enjoyed watching. Hope you do more. I love all the projects you showed. I have not been on Instagram. But, I will so that I can see other things you have done. You are a natural on screen. My computer had a meltdown in the middle of watching. I was hopping up and down having fits until I was able to get your video again. :) So glad I did - what beautiful work you do. Thank you for sharing.
Absolutely love your Barbara ana pieces
Thank you so much, she's an AMAZING designer!
Awesome video! Beautiful stitching . Happy stitching!
Great flosstube ❤Your stitching is absolutely beautiful 😍
You remind me of myself 😂 i love your videos 🖤🤭
i guess that means we have to be besties hehehe <3
Sign up for Primrose Cottage cross stitch newsletter. They just started a once a month free cross stitch chart. You can’t get it unless you sign up for the newsletter. Be careful as they have a separate quilt newsletter.
I love your pattern and fabric choices. If a fabric feels tight try another size needle like a 26. What is the name of the mushroom and flower pattern please?
Thank you ❤ it's Witching Hour Nature Walk by Sprouting Lupine :)
It's great to meet you! I am also a fabric addict, hahahaa! Welcome to the community, and thanks for sharing your lovely work!
Nice to meet you!! It's always great to find fellow fabric addicts ;) thank you for watching!!
She’s following a plannnnn slay. 💅🏻 you’re amazing and I’m so glad you filmed again 💖🤭💖
Thank you queen 🥺 YOU'RE amazing <3
You are a beautiful stitcher and share pieces that no one I watch stitches or I am not aware….plus you are genuine and kind and not putting on a show….that’s why I really enjoy you! Your pillow finish looks awesome! Really enjoyed my time with you today! See you next time!
Thank you so much Vonna 🥰 your support means so much to me!
Love your fabric haul! Congrats on the pillow finish 🎉 Thanks for the sweet mention -Stephanie
Thanks Stephanie!! ❤️
Another wonderful episode Abby- you really are a natural! Good for you for treating yourself with some haul! I can’t think of a better way to spend your spending money 🍁 Keep stitching and keep filming🍁Already looking forward to the next one🍂🍂Happy Thanksgiving 🍁
Thank you so much! Happy Thanksgiving :)
Your videos are great! I love seeing the “youths” into cross stitch. (I’m old 😂😂😂) your projects are awesome and love that you stitch a wide variety. I’m contemplated starting a flosstube but fear of sounding dumb stops me. So it happens to all of us. 😊😊😊
Thank you so much!! You should definitely just go ahead and try to film one, it is so fun once you get started :)
Thanks for the mention! Really enjoyed your flosstube! You have lovely projects and they are such beautiful new fabrics! I find using a bigger needle stops my hand hurting (26 vs 28). Also I stitch in different ways so I'm not doing the same motion all the time: in hand, in the hoop, with my q-snap on my lowery stand. Hope that helps. Happy Stitching :)
That's so interesting! I always thought a smaller needle would be better but I will try a 26! Thank you so much :))
The Jingle Ball is a lot of fun and verrrrry good for shopping. 😉
Yay!! I'm excited :))
Another lovely video Abby! You are such a prolific young lady! Love all your wips! Fabric stash is a MUST! Lol
Thank you so much! And yes, absolutely a must!!!
Such a wonderful flosstube Abby! This is a great community to belong to. You’re doing an awesome job and your stitching is wonderful. You have so many great WIPs and your finish is beautiful! You remind me of my husband’s goddaughter who has beautiful red hair like you, plus your mannerisms. Keep at it girl! You have lots of new friends.
Thank you so much, that's so kind!!
123stitch has really affordable shipping to canada
Yes, they're one of my favourite places to shop!!
You are so sweet and fun to watch! Do videos whenever it works for you…no worries, worth the wait
Thank you so much!
Hi, Abby! I am so glad you made another video. I have been enjoying them so much. I am a fellow fabric addict 😅 and I really love all the fabrics you dyed yourself. You should be so proud of all your fully finished projects, too, you did a great job on them! I enjoy all the variety of projects you are working on. You have a great eye for color! I would vote for seeing you more often…really long videos seem to be the trend among a lot of Flosstubers, but it is difficult for me to take that much time at one go…not meant as a criticism, just my opinion. 😇 Thanks so much for the joy you bring with your visits! 💙 Meline
Thank you so much Meline! I totally understand that its hard to watch long videos, especially when there are so many amazing flosstubers to watch. I might do more frequent videos!
