I don’t know why people get so worked up about electric bikes. You get to ride a ton near your house, your neighbors don’t care. Everybody wins. Great video!
Because cars are being replaced by electric ones. No one would bat an eye if they had them side by side for sale. Not bright?

The reasons why are simple---people don't take kindly to being forced into anything like EVs. If they're so great, gubmnet shouldn't have to force people into them by banning ICE powered vehicles while using tax dollars taken from the populace and handing said money to EV manufacturers. It's that simple, not to mention they kinda suck when it comes to range, the charge time sucks and of course the battery recycling part of this "go green" stuff is a joke. Let's not forget the mining of said battery materials along with the transporting of them is done with fossil fuels. Hopefully these bullet points enlightened you.

@@strykerentllc Electric powered anything and the consept of improving run time has been around far far before It became political and or the Government started pushing it.. it is important to remember Before all this political Bs It was simply underground mostly out of sight Diy Hobbyist builders you Know men being men lots of innovative pioneers with Passion for what they love to do Just the same as all the other man mad toys we love. simple as that sure now the government is using it as a tool but they do not own it. lets stop letting this crap divide us. Take a Break from the TV, go outside, ride what you like to ride gas or electric non powered lol whatever it is.. they both have pros and cons both are a hell of a lot of fun..

The E-bike brake set up mimics the typical mountain bike set up. Lots of advantages having no clutch and rear brake on handlebar instead like braking turns going left or holding brakes on while dismounted. That KTM e-bike sure looks so fun, I may have to get one for myself.

I prefer riding an electric bike than not riding gas bike because of the noise….! Just got my kids a ktm sx e2. Amazing dirt bike for kids. They can ride in the yard for an hour, get some food while the battery is charging than go again for another hour. No maintenance. You can adjust the power. I have a big yard but my neighbors are noise sensitive and I understand it. I am looking at the freeride for myself so I can have fun with them. And another thing you wouldn’t think of is when I follow them, I can give them tips and we can hear each other talking. Gas bikes are nice, but electric opens up a whole new world of riding! Rear hand brake is nice doing hard enduro. I went to the Clake double levers years ago and love it.
Hey man love the videos! Just a tip. When you take the rear wheel off, no need to take off the chain. Just take the axle out, and slide the wheel forward, that should take enough slack to just slide the chain off the sprocket.

Good to hear you laughing again on your modded bike! - That means you're very happy with it! That mod obviously works well. You go from locked-up back wheel to spinning & sliding out back wheel instantly!
Excellent job Mike AND for a third the price of a kit! - What were they thinking? - Charging so much for a damn kit?
You'll never know but you may have just saved your own life mate from a future horrific accident, confusing clutch & brake in a sudden, unexpected situation where you've been riding all day & are tired, or something like that. All those dang trees just inches away!
Now your e-bike controls are the same as your gas bike! No dual-muscle-memory nightmares! I'm so relieved you did the mod mate! The bike should have been like that in the first place!
To finish, I'll just remind you again - Only charge it outside, in the open, away from combustible materiaIs & vehicles!

Great work on the foot brake upgrade! You would think KTM would have offered it as an option to keep it more like a gas bike. Are you going to add different hand guards? I agree that the bars look naked, especially the left side. Keep up the great work man!
As someone who also rides mountain bikes, foot brakes are the main thing I hate about riding dirt bikes. I much prefer the control of hand brakes. But I get why you did the conversion.

Mike get a cable wrap / ty-rap gun, You can set the tension of your cable ties and it will snip them off flush. Save your fingers the next time you have to jam your arm in some tight spot where there are a lot of zip ties that you replaced.
Wish you got to try the stark varg in 80hp , even if its too much for you. The video and reaction would be so worth it. Looking at one for my self, as im getting older and just want to have some silent fun.

I think ypu will find your lap times will be much better with the improved braking. You need good brakes to go fast. Just ask road circuit racers. It's also so cool that you can tear around those woods for hours and nobody even knows you're there = no cops. You gotta be loving that.
Awesome Upgrade! I would totally do the same thing! Luckily I'm a Machinest/Tool Maker so this definitely something I could do cheaper at home or at work! 😮 Still you should be using alot more front brake to settle the front end, rear brake is good for a slide into a berm, but you gotta start using the front brakes! 👍
Definitely a good mod. are you going to add some a/m hand gaurds? I just added some Acerbis wrap arounds on mine and there mint.

I don’t use my back brake much, slide a corner, jumping, but other than that my front brake is my go to for most stopping, hitting your back brake literally just slides which can cause you to go down, so it’s very ineffective for actual braking. Maybe I’ve been missing something but it’s rare for me to use a back brake especially when my foot is usually out for the turn in the first place…ESPECIALLY on tracks
The bike would look way cooler without that mud flap hanging off rear fender
And a two-stroke revving to 15,000RPM would be epic even with that rubber shovel hanging off the back fender.

My problem with brakes on a dirt bike is I'm used to riding ATVs and only using my font brake so I just never use the back brake on a dirt bike

Something I've always wanted to do was make a Suzuki 3-wheeler I've always wanted to make a three-wheeler that Suzuki would have made if they would have made it to 250 stroke why don't you try something like that I had a dream one time of a Suzuki 252 two stroke three-wheeler so I have an idea of what it would look like it was weird though the cast take shrouds connected to the front fender I had this dream years ago about 15 years ago and then about a year back I seen that Suzuki made a two-wheeler street bike that the front shrouds connected to the front fender to it was really cool really 1980s looking if you do try doing that you could hit me up for some ideas
How can one man be so happy with a brake 😂 glad it was snappy and worth it but I do like 2 hand brakes if I ever get a foot I'd be like you but opposite 😂
When I got an electric dirtbike I thought the left hand rear brake would be an issue but now when I switch forth and back with my gas bike I hardly think about it
