Arcus has quickly become my favorite speed run streamer. He has a Bob Ross gentle quality in voice and presentation that I love. The sound effects and little songs are great. Great bleeps and bloops.
In technical sense it is best, but daring shift of gameplay in Simon's Quest gives it strongest influence of them. They are all great and OG Castlevania has best cover.
Interesting. That looks better than part 2, which I finished at age 7 when shown to duck with red Crystal. I consider battletoads to be the best game NES version, and yes, I paid $60 or $80 for that when it came out and was able to fully complete it, so so so hard, but to finish that back then, wow. Final Fantasy 1 was excellent also, not the remake on PSP. Zanac is a good one to see if you have the ability to dodge. I had a nice neighbor who had 100 games who would exchange with me. I could not really talk that well back then. He did find me when I started to talk on TH-cam. Strider is an awesome NES game, somehow I beat Ninja gaiden 2. Later in life but had to use the save function for Ninja Gaiden 1. Showing Ninja gaiden 2 to my daughter was kind of like a horror film. I played through it many times for her acting out the voices and she would always cover her head when the girl gets stabbed. I completely forgot I wanted to act out the voices for a video. I am worried that I might anger people if I speak like they do in a bad 80s film, the voice for the FBI would be funny with a southern accent, a real proud one. And for the girl, a voice of a unicorn fairy princess.

A strat that may save some time is: Instead of walking to end of staircase to climb it, jump through the staircase holding up and angle of which u wish to climb, landing on the 3rd or 4th step. If u do that to every staircase you can save time throughout the run.
I've had a love/hate relationship with Alucard in this game. He was a neat idea, but for his path they stuck you with the absolute worst levels in all Castlevania, and they were often designed that you couldn't take advantage of the bat power. So they gave you this cool toy, but never let you use it.
What's the difference between this and the Any%? I don't know anything about this game. I see that the Any% record is 14:49. Whereas the Alucard run is sitting at 25:42.
@@MrJerkkeri if you're not doing 2nd quest it is, but Grant can just go faster than anyone else in general but unless you already have him (such as in a 2nd quest run) as a partner you have to also play the entire clocktower for him.
Of all my NES games, thats the only NES game, I never could beat, just to difficult and the controlling is awful, and you running through it like a god, amazing!
Awesome job! I’m 43 and have been a big fan of Castlevania series since the first game released. The series on Netflix was very good except I don’t ever remember seeing Alucard getting screwed up the a-hole but an Asian dude in the series. Just more forced woke political propaganda shoved into our entertainment where it doesn’t belong. I have no issue with any race, sex, or gender affiliation in life or in the entertainment (movies, shows, video games) that is produced for the masses. What I do have an issue with is when they force it in things where it shouldn’t belong. Also the mass race swapping from white to black is getting annoying as well because it’s been happening a lot. If you have an issue with this wokeness then you are labeled as a racist or Homophobe which I am not. We have messed up double standards that so many are in denial about. Imagine if a new Blade, Black Panther, Luke Cage, Malcolm X, A Different World, Family Matters, etc came out and they were played by a white dude or white cast. There would be a HUGE uproar yet vice versa is celebrated. Need examples of this? It´s just devastating for me. Arcus just casually runs through segments of the game that took me WEEKS to master as a child.

Any% does a wrong warp in block 4 to skip half the game practically
@@levelengineSR That any % glitch is crazy. Alucard has to be the fastest complete run since turning in to a bat will drastically shorten the game.
