Diehard FSU fans heartbroken, disgusted by playoff committee's snub

- To Kurt Kenworthy and Jackie Sanelli, it still doesn't seem real. Both are diehard Florida State Seminole fans, and both are currently devastated. Their team went undefeated - and won the ACC championship on Saturday night - but was left out of the 4-team college football playoffs when the playoff committee made its selections Sunday.

UF Gator family here in Florida, the biggest rivals of FSU and even WE know that this was wrong to not give them the CFP #4 spot. This was and is a travesty for college football and support the FSU Team and fans in their claims of injustice and wrong doing.
Even though we all trash talk each other, think ALL Florida teams should be pissed. That decision took millions of dollars in revenue away from the entire state.
Critics were not the people saying that they didn't deserve to be there, the actual deciders thought that they shouldn't be there
This could have been political too. ESPN is majority-owned by Disney and Disney wants to stick it to Florida as revenge for CFTOD/Reedy Creek.
I appreciate the distinction. ESPN SEC-biased talking heads and the committee were the ones saying FSU shouldn't be in the play-off- not any actual fans that watch all of these games.
CFP, Committee for Profits.... This was not about football. It was about money for the networks. College football is not serious about choosing the 4 playoff teams. They require an SEC team, no matter the cost of their judgement and any shred of credibility.
RIGHT ON. Disney/ESPN is about $$$$$ with the $3 Billion deal with SEC. That is why it is a consolation game with two 1 LOSS team.
For the real National Championship game try the Orange Bowl on Dec. 30th.
As of right now, at the start of the 3rd quarter of the Orange Bowl, the Dawgs are showing that they most certainly belonged in the CFP. 42 to 3 right now.
It is said but there needs to be a minimum of 8 teams per season make the playoffs. There are too many teams worthy of competing to narrow it to only 4.

The college football playoff committee was pretty selfish on that decision Florida State should have gotten into the CFP and I feel their pain but at least the playoff will be expanded to 12 teams next season
The expansion isn't going to work-out how people may think it will. What will happen is that four or five mediocre, 3 or even 4 losses SEC teams will be jammed in there.

Both of those teams played a schedule in the top 15 as to degree of difficulty, whereas FSU, #91.

Bama fan here. It may surprise FSU fans to hear me say this, but I, too, was shocked when Bama was put in the #4 spot instead of FSU. Frankly, I’d love to see the two teams fight it out on the field to earn that four spot. As a Bama fan I do think Bama would beat FSU , but that can’t be assumed. Hopefully the Orange Bowl won’t become irrelevant due to key players opting out. If the full-strength Georgia plays the full-strength FSU the game will be as important as the playoff games.
