I'm selling my laptop to buy an Xbox because my laptop just isn't powerful enough for me. Why play Skyrim on minimum settings and deal with the game constantly crashing because it's on Ubuntu (I have to use Steam Proton to run it because my laptop literally will not let me install Windows) when you could play at 1080p with proper shadows that don't bog down your system at all AND do it on a quieter console. My laptop is a 400 dollar budget laptop with an AMD A10 quad core APU from the Bristol ridge generation. It certainly doesn't suck, it's actually the most powerful laptop I can find for the price I'm selling it for (300 dollars) but for what I play and how often I play it's more sensible to buy an Xbox and a mouse/keyboard. I love PC gaming, but I'm a poor guy, so I've gotta stick with console. And I absolutely refuse to buy another PlayStation. I was a lifelong PlayStation fanboy until the PS4. It was great when I first got it, but the piece of shit has gradually slowed down more and more to the point that it can't even run certain games anymore because they just crash the system. My PS4 Pro doesn't crash but it's legitimately so loud that I thought a real jet was flying around my house when I first turned it on. The noise is even so bad that it covers the sound of a window air conditioner and the TV at nearly full volume. A console shouldn't be making sounds like it's about to explode the second you turn it on. Will never buy or recommend a Sony console ever again.
Look guys. If you're a PC player good for you, but don't put other people down for wanting to play on console. I personally love console because I grew up with it and it'd be hard for me to convert to mouse and keyboard. But this overall is about people having opinions, and you read my opinion. The least anyone can do is respect it and not run it to the dirt.

But xbox one s doesnt even does that in the way the scorpio does. The main thing is however its weaker than the original ps4.. If you still think its better and more worthy than the ps4 then please do a favor and visit the nearest psychiatrist asap..

Got mine with the bf1 bundle last week. Sure it isn't much of an upgrade from the Xbox 1 however it is an upgrade for me since I'm upgrading from a 360 and I'm happy with mine

I absolutely love my Xbox one S. I haven't upgraded to a new console and have had the 360 for awhile. Also, I was able to get a nice 4K tv for $400 this Christmas. The S and the TV pair together very well!

For under 200 or around 200 it is a bid deal but if you have around $500 you can build a pc that is stronger then xbox X and even for $400 the pc will still be better if you know your parts

upgrading from X1 to the X1S , to me, was a wonderful choice. also nice to have a 4k bluray player at a much cheaper price than the devices that just do that and nothing else unlike the X1S.
I got one today.... I am a hard 24/7 Xbox gamer, I really like playing RocketLeague it has a lot better graphics than the Xbox one. I also have Fifa 17 and personally it is %100 better! I recommend it and the controller feels really good! From a loving Xbox one s gamer.

I'm late, but I plan to buy my second console (my first console was a wii back in 2010 when I was 6, I'm 16 now, my parents never let me buy a console ever again since that time, I was promised a xbox 360 I even got a game that day, but I never got it) Here I am today I started working and I ask my mom if I can buy myself a console and she said yes, but she told me to wait to see if a deal pops up in any store. So I hope that she actually lets me buy the console. (Anyway, the video definitely helped 👍)

this'll be my first xbox one. 500gb white xbox one s with battlefield 1. i've been a pc gamer for the past two and a half years, and now I'm going back to Xbox because it's simply cheaper than upgrading my current pc, which already plays the games I really want out of it. and it has battlefield 1... so there's that haha will be nice to have an xbox again. last was the 360.

I mean, consoles are catching up, I won't lie - and yeah, other then MMO's I would rather play multiplayer stuff on my PS4 - a bit more even ground that way, but... mah mods... mah delicious, delicious countless single player mods.... so.. much... awesome. I'm pretty much never getting any Bethesda game on a console, even though they are adding mod support now - its still limited compared to the fun I can have with PC versions. aka - PC has its advantages still :)

Just grabbed the Xbox One S, Gears Of War Deep Blue Console from Gamestop for my six and 12 year old. Think we'll love it coming from a Xbox 360. Using a Samsung 4K with it
As a PS4 player this is interesting to say the least. It certainly makes me consider switching to Xbox. I defiantly would if I didn't hate the feel of Xbox controllers.
pwnznoobs7 I'll keep that in mind, thanks. Maybe in the next generation of consoles I'll go with Xbox. There are other factors but they are really similar. Other things that factor into my decision are graphic and the ability to film for TH-cam. I'm getting a capture card so the filming for TH-cam doesn't really matter. If the next Xbox has better graphics then that will probably make me get it.
I was a PS guy before and the Xbox controller felt really weird at first, but when you're playing you notice how ergonomic it really is. It's like you're not holding anything and it doesn't hurt even if you play for dozens of hours. I hate the feel of the Dualshock 4 now lol

Oliver Stravanger well the Scorpio will be as powerful as a PC (unless PC becomes more powerful than it is now) and since red dead won't come out until next fall and possibly will get delayed I'd say buy the Scorpio

As someone who actually understands the parts that go into a gaming system, PC's are much, much cheaper, and several times easier and cheaper to repair and upgrade. Plus the fact that almost all Xbox games are playable on PC, and that cross-play is becoming more popular, the amount of reasons to buy a console are diminishing with amazing speed.

This console is perfection to me, its powerful, really cheap, reliable, can run all games at at least 60fps and is still slim and quite flexible (and really good looking too) the overall size rule of xbox: avoid the original ”big” versions if possible, they usually sort out the problems in the ”slim” versions: true with both 360 slim and one s, and about the one x: yes it is marginally more powerful, but it is also about twice as expensive: twice as good? Nope, no way

I say just wait for the Scorpio, if you really want a console. At least that thing is rumored to have the new Vega GPU. The Xbox One's performance was really disappointing to me; games running at 720p to 900p. The Xbox One S isn't much better, all they did was overclock the GPU from 850MHz to 915MHz, whoop ti doo. Dealing with subpar visuals and low frame rate was pretty much why I opted out of consoles. Think of the Xbox One S as between a GTX 750 and a 750Ti. Wait for the Scorpio. If you have a 4K TV, you could buy the Xbox One S as a competent and cheap Ultra HD Bluray player.

Used to be a 360 boy back in the day disregarding my childhood with the PS1/2. Ever since then I switched to PS3 and PS4 because most of my friends were on there. But now, most of them barely play so I’m switching back to Xbox. I was planning on getting a 1X but I don’t own a 4K TV plus I’m not really about the graphics. Morley FPS but it’s alright, if I wanted those I’d be a PC gamer. I think the 1S is a great choice, it’s cheap and just beneath the X1 in comparison. I love that Xbox allows early access games like Subnautica and other games which is what I didn’t really like about PS4. Either way, I had a white PS4 and the 1S black and white looks really sexy. Just look at that controller!

PC hardware comparisons would be the Ryzen 5 2700x combined with a 1660 super....the CPU is around 250-300 and the GPU currently is around 600 bucks, this thing is a steal if you don't want 100 fps at 1440p
I just got one and it uses less power and as for "less vents" the whole thing is a vent. The side that has the disc slot is solid but the rest is perforated all the way around so air can escape pretty much anywhere.
Depends on what you want man. Are you a casual or a hardcore gamer? S is 299.99 and the Scorpio might be 499.99, it would come with high tech for those that call for it. If you barely play then the S is for you. It's up to you man.
I got my Xbox one S with RDR2 when it launched for 200$! Best deal I’ve ever made. I never thought I’d get one since I had a PS4, but that deal made it impossible to not buy one LOL. After I got it my PS4 just started gathering dust, except for when I want to play Uncharted and The last of Us. Everything was better than the PS4 imho.

@LXVE PC's are damn nice for single player though. I mean, consoles are catching up, I won't lie - and yeah, other then MMO's I would rather play multiplayer stuff on my PS4 - a bit more even ground that way, but... mah mods... mah delicious, delicious countless single player mods.... so.. much... awesome. I'm pretty much never getting any Bethesda game on a console, even though they are adding mod support now - its still limited compared to the fun I can have with PC versions.

Other things that factor into my decision are graphic and the ability to film for TH-cam. I'm getting a capture card so the filming for TH-cam doesn't really matter. If the next Xbox has better graphics then that will probably make me get it.
I was a PS guy before and the Xbox controller felt really weird at first, but when you're playing you notice how ergonomic it really is. It's like you're not holding anything and it doesn't hurt even if you play for dozens of hours. I hate the feel of the Dualshock 4 now lol

As someone who actually understands the parts that go into a gaming system, PC's are much, much cheaper, and several times easier and cheaper to repair and upgrade. Plus the fact that almost all Xbox games are playable on PC, and that cross-play is becoming more popular, the amount of reasons to buy a console are diminishing with amazing speed.

This console is perfection to me, its powerful, really cheap, reliable, can run all games at at least 60fps and is still slim and quite flexible (and really good looking too) the overall size rule of xbox: avoid the original ”big” versions if possible, they usually sort out the problems in the ”slim” versions: true with both 360 slim and one s, and about the one x: yes it is marginally more powerful, but it is also about twice as expensive: twice as good? Nope, no way

I say just wait for the Scorpio, if you really want a console. At least that thing is rumored to have the new Vega GPU. The Xbox One's performance was really disappointing to me; games running at 720p to 900p. The Xbox One S isn't much better, all they did was overclock the GPU from 850MHz to 915MHz, whoop ti doo. Dealing with subpar visuals and low frame rate was pretty much why I opted out of consoles. Think of the Xbox One S as between a GTX 750 and a 750Ti.
Wait for the Scorpio. If you have a 4K TV, you could buy the Xbox One S as a competent and cheap Ultra HD Bluray player.

Used to be a 360 boy back in the day disregarding my childhood with the PS1/2. Ever since then I switched to PS3 and PS4 because most of my friends were on there. But now, most of them barely play so I’m switching back to Xbox. I was planning on getting a 1X but I don’t own a 4K TV plus I’m not really about the graphics. Morley FPS but it’s alright, if I wanted those I’d be a PC gamer. I think the 1S is a great choice, it’s cheap and just beneath the X1 in comparison. I love that Xbox allows early access games like Subnautica and other games which is what I didn’t really like about PS4. Either way, I had a white PS4 and the 1S black and white looks really sexy. Just look at that controller!

I just got one and it uses less power and as for "less vents" the whole thing is a vent. The side that has the disc slot is solid but the rest is perforated all the way around so air can escape pretty much anywhere.
