Yes sir, it's looking sharp, the paint job will be the icing on the cake. Always like watching the rebuilds, especially when it involves these classic old tractors. I'm working on my 1963 Massey Ferguson 65, it was my very first tractor and a classic. I have a long ways to go, but I have plenty of time to get it there. What I may be lacking in is money, but I'll do what I can. Thanks for sharing your experience with us Chris, I hope you have a fantastic Friday.😉
Really enjoy your enthusiasm for restoring these old oliver work horses they were really ahead of their time in raw horse power nothing could touch them so keep on keeping on
It’s amazing how much smoother your builds/repairs go vs Ross the Oliver Man. I guess there’s something to be said about a shop with a concrete floor and new parts. 😂
Looking good! She's definitely starting to come together. Is there a chance someday you could do a video on your 525 combine? I don't know why, but I've always had a soft spot for combines.
I just made the parts guys happy ordering a bunch of new iron for the planter. I also got all new opener discs for the drill, so that stuff is going to be happening soon.
Hey Chris the engine is looking really good. Are you going to do a video on timing the injection pump? I got my block final cleaned today and set back on the stand. Going to start assembling here over the next few days.
@@ThatOliverGuyChris ok sounds good. Ill post pictures of my progress. Ill have to show a picture of the direct drive clutch plate (the thick one one the front side) out of the 3speed. I have never seen one that badly worn!!
That is a somewhat complicated water pump and thermostat setup. Guess it was the engineering of the day. Sorry but my OCD would mandate making those copper lines with nice straight lines...
Are you going to rebuild the hydro power new clutch?what else do you got to do to the tractor. Maybe a update video? I just put a thermostat in the 185 I've been working on $$oh my , and when did the price of batteries get so crazy 🤪. Waiting for the weather to warm up to spray the silver on the tin work . What I have put on looks great from turkey creek farms be safe n thankful
I rebuilt the 3 speed last winter, there's a couple videos on that. The flywheel and clutch went on this week. I've been checking out the rear end as well. More videos will be coming!
Here’s a question, unrelated to this video but I’ve got an Oliver 1600 and I think it’s stuck in reverse and 3rd, I can’t pry it out of either, anyone have any ideas? 😂
I assume you've pulled the shifter? You may have to rock the tractor back and forth some while trying to get the shift rails back in place. The gears may be bound up with the pressure of being in forward and reverse at the same time. If you pull the cover and the right platform, you can take out the base that the shifter goes to, and it also gives you a bigger opening to work through.
I have tried rocking the tractor and yes the shift lever is out, I did not know that piece it goes into comes off, that will be a big help, the shifter hole isn’t very big! It feels like it’s bound really tight, hopefully I can get more leverage with a bigger opening, or at least see more of what’s going on. Thank you!
Starting to look like an engine. Better hurry this project up because you'll hopefully be in the field soon. (By the way - the re-upload of the hillside hitch explanation video is coming -- I had to re-film the whole thing. Apparently, the video cranked out by my new Gopro Hero 9 doesn't work well with my video editor. Had to re-film with my phone. Video should be up in a day or so. My internet is slow - sometimes takes almost 24 hours for a 15 minute video.
Wow, I thought mine was slow. I just uploaded Sunday's video.. it's almost an hour so it took mostv of the night. I'm looking forward to your new video!
Great vid kiddo! I really like all your updates and additions to make her a RUNNER!
Thanks! I'm checking out the transmission now (future videos) and that is in great shape. So there's hope for the old girl to run again.
Coming along well bro and yes look forward to see you turn the key. Safe travels.
Thanks 👍
Thanks Chris
Thank you, those bucket screens did their job this week.
I am excited to see this one done! it's coming along nicely compared to how projects usually go for me! Magic hands Chris!
Thanks! Hopefully it gets to run this spring
@@ThatOliverGuyChris patience pays off, or slower is faster. That is what my Grandpa always told me. In good time it will be ready.

It’s probably because his tractors didn’t get dragged out of the woods 🤣
Hey now, this tractor came from a dairy farm.
@@ThatOliverGuyChris that’s true, this is quite equal to the 1365 in condition. #dairylife

I'd like to get it running again, but that is going to take engine work. I did crawl up on it at the end of a live stream during planting last spring.
Coming together. Good details.
Thank you!
Nice, to see the engine looking more like an engine! Thanks Michael
Thanks for watching!
its looking good
Thanks!
Looking forward to hearing it run and the turbo whistle!
Me too!
Coming along nicely. It's getting close to planting. Looking forward to preseason checkups !

Adding a coolant filter?
Wasn't planning on it, but it is a good idea.

Yes. I just finished that part, and I am planning on it being Sunday's video.

You pick a mean banjo. Are you putting a nice coat of meadow green on it to.
It will be getting paint before it fires up. Meadow green and Clover white

Was that the Stanley Brothers?
Don't know but it's good music...
It's called Reuben's Train by Nat Keefe and the Bowties
@@ThatOliverGuyChris I can never remember that bands name when people ask. I just tell them it’s Nat King Queef or something like that.
