Great video works perfectly for 2017+ as well. I found that using a zip tie attached to the pull cable head makes it easier to route the pull cable under and around the reel.
I have the rev 3 and for the life of me cannot find a good way to route them. The throttle snaps back perfectly but if the cables get touched at all the rpm’s will not come down super dangerous. The weird part is I can feel the return cable doing its job and getting the throttle back to zero but the rpm’s stay up anyways I don’t know what to do
Yeah, I can't remember now because it's been so long, but I think i had to mount it upside down and really fiddle with the cables to get the tension off of them so the return would work properly. But I definitely had that issue as well and it seemed very daunting to try to get it working initially, but enough fiddling finally got it to move freely.
Hey man were the cables long enough the way you routed them? I’m having a hard time with mine. It seems like every way I try to route them won’t work. Were you able to sweep the bars with no tension on the cables?
It is very tight. I can fully turn my bars, but the cables do fight the housing a bit. Mine are routed over top, it would not even remotely fit properly going underneath like stock. But the cables are pulling down a bit. It's very snug, but everything does operate smoothly.
John-Paul Craig ok cuz I literally tried every way and I can not find a perfect route to where the cables are happy. But I will try the way you routed them once again and see how it goes. Thanks man
Kevin Corrigan yea it did. There’s a bit of tension on the cables when I sweep the bars all the way to the right but it’s not too bad. Better than the way I had it before
