@lomparti Whether I cover them or not will depend on exactly what I am doing to the bike. In this particular case I did not find in necessary to do so. Before you twist the throttle take a look at the throttle bodies and make sure nothing is laying on the butterflies.
Brian, I know this video is old as hell, but seems to be one of the few out there. I am curious if you have done one on a 17-20. I have been looking at the best way to route the rev 3 I purchased from stg and just can't see how the trottle cables will get around the switch pod on my 20 r6. Any advice? If I need a new switch pod do you have one that will retain the mod switch?
I have not installed one on that model myself. Pretty sure we can get you a switch from Woodcraft that will retain the mode switch. Please email Max directly on maxvan@sportbiketrackgear.com and he will get you sorted out. Thank you for your business. - Van
Do you have to replace the throttle cables from OEM to the Motion pro ones, or can I put the OEM throttle cables directly into the Motion pro quick turn tube?
Van, great video. Looking at getting one of these. I currently have Driven D-3 grips on my bike, can utilize my current grips or do I need to buy new grips? As always, great video.
You can reuse them as long as you are able to remove them without damaging them. If you are not able to do that remember the kit does come complete with grips as well. - Brian Van
It can be shorter or longer, variable rate with 5 options to choose from. The kits comes with 5 cams that can be used to get the throttle where you want it. Here is a link to the new Motion Pro REV2 Throttle Kits on our site: www.sportbiketrackgear.com/Motion-Pro?_bc_fsnf=1&Product=Throttle+Kit
Van I installed this kit on my R6. But no matter what I try it doesn't snap back. Like I fiddled with the adjusters at the front but it doesn't snap back. Any tips what I am doing wrong.
Not good product bang to buck not there yamaha r1 r6 standard throttle have same throw as motion 15$ buy a new yam standard throttle swap out if you want full wop in short turn use r6 throttle Google it gsxr forum detailed pictures etc
That mod is an option but there are other advantages with this kit: 1) 5 interchangeable reels: 35, 40, 45, 50mm and cam reel to dial in the throw to your liking 2) takes up less space than many OEM throttles 3) allows you to separate the throttle and switch assy if your bike has them as one piece. When building a race bike installing this is a good option for many, others may prefer the mod you noted. Getting a shorted throttle throw is not the only reason you would install this kit. - Brian Van
Stephen if you are going to post comments please make sure they are accurate. With the proper cam installed this throttle will shorten the throw on most sportbikes. - Van
I have installed this kit on multiple bikes over the years. Have you ever installed this or any other race throttle? If you weren't so cute in your little bow tie pic on your resume I would block your comments from the channel.

@LewisBurgess95 You are welcome. I have this on both bikes and love it
I wanted the shortest throttle throw offered and chose the cam based on that.

have you ever had a problem of stuff falling into your exposed and uncovered carbs while working on your bikes?
Do you have to replace the throttle cables from OEM to the Motion pro ones, or can I put the OEM throttle cables directly into the Motion pro quick turn tube?
You dont need to get the ignition kit for the 2012 r6? im thinking about buying one right now from you guys

Did you make sure all of the throttle body springs were installed correctly and that there was no binding of the throttle cable after the install?
Got it right man. I moved the housing from pointing under the brake lever to pointing on top that fixed the slack. Thanks for the reply man.
ZinNYC No problem! Really happy I was able to help!
I have a 2011 zx10r and the throttle is super long is there any kit I can get where i can reduce the throttle without having to change my cables????
Zip tide mod it
My mate put standard r6 throttle on zx10 you think it's a beast now it's a headbanging monster
it doesn't get any better than your factory ZX-10 cable and throttle assembly
Do you ship the Rev-2 Kit (01-2743 YZF-R6) now?
Please send an email to Orders@sportbiketrackgear.com and one of the sales guys can help you out with the availability and order! Thanks!
It looks like we need to get that added as they do offer it for the 600RR. Please call us at 888-784-4327 if you would like to order one

of course, a total waste of money
TH-cam meet my personal stalker Stephen M. Wyatt. Stephen did you get the voicemail I left for you a couple weeks back?
nobody cares about you enough to stalk you
Stephen "doesn't care" but he keeps commenting. strange logic. hahaha!
Another overpriced stupid product. All sport bikes have a quick turn throttle, as do all dirt race bikes.
Stephen if you are going to post comments please make sure they are accurate. With the proper cam installed this throttle will shorten the throw on most sportbikes. - Van
what are the two distances you are talking about?.............You have no idea of the distances
